They’re scared because they know that the public is with Luigi.
They’re violating his rights because they need to maintain capitalism.
Keep talking about Luigi.
Luigi is such an important person to be talking about still. We are part of history right now, and the way that he’s being treated is absolutely abhorrent.
Documentaries are being made about him that assume his guilt before he’s had a right to a fair trial, they are refusing to let him see his lawyers without police present, they are parading him around like he’s been guilty this entire time, they are giving the documentaries evidence that the defense HAS NOT RECEIVED, there are currently issues with a potential illegal search and seizure.
There’s a lot of issues here, but even if you don’t care about the case directly, know that the more we let this go on, the more that none of us will ever have a right for a fair trial ever again.
Be angry. Get pissed off. Be upset. Riot. It’s horse-shit and they deserve to know that we feel that way. Show up at his next court date if you’re close by and able, and if you’re not, make sure that he’s not forgotten.
Spread the word of jury nullification. He deserves to walk free, and he deserves to live the life that he so desperately deserves. Do not let him go down like this.
You have a responsibility to remember him. You have a responsibility to make his name and his message known, especially if you live in the US.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
