wait. the way all this started with helly r desperately trying to leave work while the other three are like hey cmon stay it’s fine. now she’s rocking up to work like yeah cmon let’s figure this shit out and everyone else is nowhere to be seen they’re missing they’re leaving they’re dying and she’s still there in the office like 🧍‍♀️

There’s something just so sick about the fact that Jame sired who knows how many children to try to create a child he saw Kier in like he saw in Helena when she was a child, but no other children had Kier in them. It was just child Helena. So his next solution was Helly. He recreated Helena’s inner child by removing her memories of his abuse. And it worked. He removed in Helena what he broke in the first place to create the child he wanted her to be. This entire time what he wanted was inside Helena buried underneath all the abuse HE put her through. And he abuses Helly too. He basically created Helly to try and re abuse her in a way that would turn her into what he wants her to be.

It WAS Helly at the end of the episode. “Helly was never cruel” but did you ever think that Helly might be selfish? That she wants certain things and would do anything to get them? She doesn’t hold any malice towards Gemma, but the fact is, she loves Mark and desperately wants to be with him. Helly, like Mark. S, is not so selfless that she’d sacrifice her love for the sake of a stranger. Something is lost when we assume that only Helena is capable of being self-serving.

sorrydetka:

mark’s love for gemma didn’t transcend severance because he didn’t want it to. he underwent the procedure to forget about her for half of his life, out of emotional convenience, and that’s exactly what happened. ms casey was drawn to him, gemma’s final innie trusted him. but innie mark only had empathy for her and nothing more. he wanted to reap the emotional and financial rewards of innie mark with no repercussions, but he didn’t realize, or didn’t care, that what innie mark puts in, he can’t take out. his connection with helly and helena cannot be shaken, because that’s him. because that’s the consequence of his decision. and that’s the beauty of mark and gemma’s love story in my opinion, how love no matter how grand and fulfilling sometimes just isn’t enough, and how you and capital undoes it. and now you’re in love with someone else, who is half of your life, more than gemma, and you have no one to blame but yourself. why should he suffer no consequences, not just because “oh they’ve suffered so much” but in terms of story? what are the stakes? where is his character development? he can’t go back to the same life he had with gemma they are no longer the same people. innie mark’s decision is just as much his own. gemma knows that and she won’t forget it. and she shouldn’t.

It’s Helly, actually. Helly. That’s the person I’m in love with, which you’d know if you’d ever taken an interest in my life before today. When you needed something.
