Step 1
Have someone create a 360 scan of you in a pose. Make sure to do a low, medium and high loop. Or use a built in scanning function from a platform like Luma Labs AI.

Upload your video and let it process. Once it’s ready, export it out as a PLY (point cloud) file.

Step 2
Import your PLY file into your 3D software of choice. I use Blender so the following instructions are based on that platform. Correct the rotation and scale. We need to give the data a mesh, so head over to the “Geometry Nodes” tab.

In the Geometry Nodes tab:

➖Hit “New” in the bottom node window

➖Press Shift + A to bring up the search menu and search for “Mesh to Points”

➖Add that to your nodes

➖Search for another node called “Set Material” and add Geometry Nodes, Point Cloud, 3d Software, Bring Up, Motion Graphic, 3d Effect, After Effects, The Search, Motion Graphics
