unit. First step was to take it
outside and clean with sugar soap. Next thing was to sand
the whole unit down for 1 20 grit. I then brought it back
inside to be painted. I'm using French Eat the Lazy Range Funky
Dora I painted the Calix and then
got halfway through it and remembered I actually needed to
take two shelves out so I did that then I added the back
panel MDF took it back outside to sand I wanted to make it a
little bit taller so I added some wood to the bottom the top
and then added some MDF around that I then used some finishing

BUT when I discovered this wood technique using Frenchic paint, I think I might be converted! We have had this coffee table for 10 years & although I still love it, it’s become too worn & i’m craving a cleaner look! The plan was to just sand the stain off to reveal a lighter wood underneath…sounds easy right?…Quick fix she said! This is made from reclaimed wood & revealed lots of colour variation & multiple filled holes! I recommend using varnish stripper on veneer furniture as it is very easy to catch the wood ( especially on the edges ) and sand through the veneer 😳

Frog tape 🐸 masking tape has a special seal on the edges that is activated when painted on preventing paint bleed through 🩸
