Assisted pistol squat

First did this progression at about 3 sets of 8 reps. That was quite a lot at the time so I took many breaks in between reps to complete the set.

Once I was comfortable with 3 sets of 12 clean reps I moved onto next progression.

Deficit pistol squat

As shown in the video you can do this on a raised flat surface like a bench, plyobox or chair. 

Keep going until 3 sets of 8-12 clean reps achieved. 

An easier progression requires you to keep your leg unlifted as you descend into a one legged squat. 

Not raising your leg means you have more control over the squat, so you can learn to build strength in this range of motion.
