I was gobsmacked yesterday, when Rob revealed we were going to @punchdrunkint show. I had wanted to go, but in me mode had planned it for ages away so I could gear up to it. Violas room, is a fully immersive theatre show. That literally challenged all my sensory issues head on. We were told we needed to remove our shoes, and that part of the show would include crawling and walking over uneven surfaces, also very small spaces. In 2011, Emursive and Punchdrunk, two theater companies, came together to produce Sleep No More, which was probably the most original theatrical experience in New York history. It’s an immersive play. Do not expect a stage with an audience. You are free to walk independently and follow the cast members as you wish. Each actor tells his own story, with other actors telling stories interconnected simultaneously in other rooms and other floors.
