Today we are remembering the late Paul Butterfield who passed away on May 4, 1987. Paul founded The Paul Butterfield Blues Band in the early 1960's. He performed at the Monterey Pop Festival as well as Woodstock. The Paul Butterfield Blues Band were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In the mid-’60s, Chicago blues came full-circle, with many of the city’s bands inspired by the British Invasion—which was inspired by originators like Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters.
