I've mentioned before that our school year is coming to a close. My kids are itching for summer to get here, in the mean while we have been reviewing a lot of the material we covered during the year. A quotation mark is a set of punctuation marks used to mark the beginning or ending of a quoted passage or indicate a word or phrase that is being discussed.

We have been brushing up on our quotation skills the last couple of weeks. It is such a hard skill for students to grasp in first grade, but once they reach second grade it's like something "clicks" and they can pick it up quickly.
