This lovely antique Victorian Scottish sterling silver and agate pin has four faceted citrine or glass stones. The pin is hallmarked as seen. Measures approximately 2-14" by 2-1/2". Weighs 16.8 grams. Has an older style C clasp. Very good condition with some wear from use.

Norman Grant was born in Forres, Scotland in 1943 and at the age of 18 started training at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen. Initially he studied graphic design before later moving into silversmithing. His jewellery designs reflected the natural shapes and details seen in the environment. Grants designs were sought by London shops such as Liberty of London and Harrods. His jewellery designs quickly became favoured by many celebrities including Sandy Shaw and Mick Jagger, and later on Elton John and Billy Connelly. In the 1980’s after many years of experience in the jewellery trade, Grant decided to work as a consultant with the De Beers Group.
