Ms. Natalie Ringold 🍎 Elementary Teacher on Instagram: "Okay, REAL TALK…

This classroom challenge was created because certain behaviors were driving me crazy 😅

So, I decided to create this anchor chart to target those specific behaviors, and create a “classroom challenge!”

For the chart, I wrote down the opposite behaviors/the behaviors I want to see more often.

So I changed…
- distracting others –into→ “staying on-task”
- arguing –into→ “keeping small problems, small”
- talking back –into→ “being respectful”
- blurting –into→ “following talk moves” (which is a phrase that I have used all year that essentially means listen to the speaker)

When we all work together and follow these expectations, we get a smiley face in one of the circles. As a class, we evaluate ourselves 2-3x a day Teacher Expectations, Talk Moves, Driving Me Crazy, Classroom Expectations, First Year Teaching, Talking Back, Class Management, Anchor Chart, Drive Me Crazy
