Description:

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field.
I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
--Rumi

Angel and the Doctor meet in a field.

Angel hits the Doctor, and the Doctor mistakes it for them hitting it off. In his defense, Angel often confuses those two things, too.

Blood and Time is the epic story of a Time Lord and a vampire, with trips outside the universe and into their own subconsciouses, lies and truths, destruction and forgiveness, and occasionally, far too much whiskey.

Hello. We're Babblefest and Constant Comment Tea, and Blood and Time is our lovechild. Altogether, there are five parts with about 20 completed stories and over a dozen WIPs in this series. We're not even kidding.

They mostly do not depend on each other for plot, so you can jump in just about anywhere and not get too lost.

However.

Emotional Character Development Gluts that we are, these stories do rely heavily on each other for relationship development.

Following is a series guide, which includes Part I and most of Part II. The rest of Part II and Parts III, IV, and V will be added as they become more imminent.

When is "imminent," you ask? Good question. We have a New Year's Day tradition of a Writing Retreat and tend to get a lot done on these days; usually enough to finish/polish the next story to be posted, but not always. Q&A I and II should be released pretty quickly when they're next in line based on the format. We're actively re-writing Trust (based on upgrades to Blood), and we honestly haven't looked at the others in about 10 years, so who knows what state they're in? But there's an awesome story in Part IV we really want to post, so... We'll get there!

Part One
1. Room in the Middle - The first meeting, for both of them. Ninth Doctor.
2. The Moon Thesis - Angel and the Doctor's first adventure, where they find out how the other one solves problems (can you see the conflict already?). They also discover how very much they're both heroes. Tenth Doctor.
3. Get Your Own Monastery - 9 and Angel in Sri Lanka when Angel goes there to meditate after Buffy's death. They talk about letting go of grief. A bit. And they fight the demon monks and agree that Vegas was the better option.
4. The Other Master - There's a bit of a Master mix-up... Eleventh Doctor.
5. Men of Action - Emotionally heavy piece (the first of many...) set right after Connor is taken. Eleventh Doctor.
6. A Short Trip Outside the Universe - The Doctor decides that Angel is the ideal friend to recruit for his TARDIS-scavenging trip. Angel is touched that the Doctor considers him a friend. Oh, and also Angel gets a taste for Time Lord blood. Eleventh Doctor.

Part Two
7. War Stories - Angel and the Doctor nudge each other to get over their Relationship PTSD over a drink and some violence. Slight crossover with the Interaction series by Constant Comment Tea. Ninth Doctor.
8. Pull to Open - The Doctor reappears in Angel's life, and Judith Cole wastes little time in accidentally stealing the TARDIS. Now Angel and the Doctor are stuck being roommates and they discuss the possibility of building a bar in Hell together. Eleventh Doctor.
9. Going Out with a Bang - Judith wanted to see history in action. The Doctor wanted to see wonder and amazement on his new companions' faces. But the Doctor had been to the very first fireworks show before, and he'd forgotten what a bad taste it had left in his mouth... Tenth and Eleventh Doctor.
10. Mushrooms and First Words - Judith once stole the TARDIS. The Doctor decides it's time to steal Judith right back. Eleventh Doctor.
11. Blood - Angelus. Tenth Doctor.
12. Trust - Repercussions, mind-walks, and emotional goo. Eleventh Doctor.
13. Question and Answer - The Doctor starts giving Angel lessons in mind control and they continue to pull the pieces of their friendship back together. Eleventh Doctor.
14. Intentional Injustice - The Doctor is dying and it's all Angel-from-200-years-ago's fault. Eleventh Doctor.
15. Question and Answer II - Now on the same page regarding Angel murdering the Doctor, mind control lessons resume, including range, reflecting, and how to have mental sex. Eleventh Doctor.
16. Loved Ones - The TARDIS does not like Angel for almost murdering the Doctor. Angel is scared of the TARDIS for almost murdering him. So when the Doctor goes missing, Angel must figure out how to work with a machine that can’t let go of a grudge. Eleventh Doctor.
17. Diagrams Not Included - A local sorcerer puts the whammy on the Doctor. The Doctor is mystified because he feels just fine. Angel is mystified because the Doctor is suddenly very interested in kissing his neck… Eleventh Doctor.
18. Black Mercy - There’s a world in which Angel got to raise Connor. Angel does not want to leave. Eleventh Doctor.
