Summary
This is before Christmas 2016. Even never transferred to Nissen, so he’s doing his last year at Bakka. He has just broken up with Sonja and is recovering from a manic and depressive episode. Sana has invited Even and her other friends to a Holiday cabin trip, and Even needs to get in shape so that he can beat his buddies in Sana’s planned ski race. He tries out a personal ski trainer app and meets the hot ski trainer Isak Valtersen. Even struggles to focus only on the training. On the cabin trip, when Even arrives early, a surprise guest turns up and a snowstorm threatens to snow them both in. Who knows what happens next?
A different meeting AU and sort of a 4 + 1 (Four times Isak and Even don’t talk for real, and one time they do). This is part of the Skam Stories Christmas Challenge. :)

Prompt from the Star Trek XI Kink Meme on lj. Prompt: K/S. So, this idea kind of hit me out of nowhere. Pretty much following the tradition of aliens-made-them-do-it [only kind of inverted], in which Kirk and Spock end up at a planet where they are not allowed to touch each other [due to religious issues, politeness protocol, whatever].
Summary:
Anticipation was not an emotion Spock had intended to allow himself to feel; yet, it made itself known despite him, and that it was never satisfied made it harder to suppress, each time the Captain walked past or stood near and conscientiously avoided even the brush of their sleeves.- Language:

It has a feel of a slow burn, despite the word count. Great writing.

Kirk and Uhura are doms in an established relationship who occasionally enjoy picking up a sub together. Uhura never expected one of those subs to be her repressed Vulcan ex-boyfriend, though.
Jim held up his hands. "I just really liked your face and voice and everything, and you had a lot of fascinating things to say about xenolinguistics and interstellar politics. But what I say still holds. I'm not officially hitting on you until you indicate that you want me to. And until Uhura gives me the go-ahead."
There was a little silence. He had given them a perfect opening, and stared at both pointedly.

There is simply not enough of this pairing. The dynamic between Kirk and Uhura is so real in this story. It's hilarious nearly the entire ride through, and I love the way the author portrays all of the characters.
If the author decided to continue with this arc, I'd eat it up in a second.

"I read this story in one go last night, went to bed, then felt compelled to go back through it when I woke up this morning.
The entire story appears to be encapsulated by that first line, and I love that, especially since the story is in Crowley's perspective. He has a slow burn in the slow burn, which is quite appropriate.
I enjoyed so many facets of your work (read: every sentence), but I particularly enjoyed how you decided to portray Aziraphale. He is a great blend of book and show personality, and you put him in scenarios I hadn't seen before. I particularly enjoyed his moment of anger in 1753, as well as the description of the entire scene.
There are not enough descriptions of Aziraphale's angelic qualities, and you touch on so many good ones. Thank you for that."

Geralt is not making a nest. Jaskier has noticed this. Geralt is in fact drinking a rather foul-smelling potion that sours the sweetness of his scent and muffles its otherwise obvious meaning.
“Does that stop heat?” Jaskier asks curiously, absentmindedly tuning his lute as he speaks. He hadn’t thought anything could, but, well . . . witchers and their potions.
“No,” Geralt says darkly.

02/2020:
"This is incredible. Your portrayal of Jaskier and Geralt is spot on. I can hear their voices and mentalities in their respective chapters easily and with empathy, both to my delight and chagrin.
The first chapter caught me so fast, mainly because of Jaskier's open attraction to Geralt and his ease in the understanding that he was in the presence of an omega in heat. I'm sure I've read A/B/O where alphas don't freak out with this knowledge, but not as neat as how you've written it. You've integrated that universe into canon so seamlessly.
You've also shown Jaskier's comfort in sex and the pleasures thereof that I found refreshing. His consistent caring for Geralt throughout the story, and his positive view on heats in general feels so right with his character.
Thinking on Geralt: I find his focus on his lack of worth while in heat to be super interesting. In fact, the way you wrote his point was view was inspired. I thoroughly enjoy reading people's interpretations of how omegas think through heat, and the way Geralt hyper-focuses on both Jaskier and what he believes he deserves is both sad and frustrating. This then makes the ending perfect, with how Jaskier responds.
I had written little notes to myself as I read this for the nth time, but if I wrote them all, it would be a commentated version of your story, because I loved everything."

"Well, this is a collection that I didn't know I'd need in my life.
I absolutely love your characterization of Geralt and his relationship with Jaskier. It feels like firecrackers.
... [T]his was a refreshing, hilarious change of pace. I thoroughly enjoyed each piece, but [part 3]... I was laughing and gasping and worried. I felt swept up in Jaskier's confusion and anger and fear. So very good."
What's actually so very good about these pieces is the exploration of Jaskier's more aggressive tendencies. He's headstrong and fights back when Geralt is stubborn or goes against what he feels is correct. The pieces are all in Jaskier's limited point of view, and what we see within is a lot more fiery than I've seen. It's a great change of pace.
The pieces are exactly what it says on the tin, but there is a certain progressing depth to each one, as if we are seeing a timeline where Geralt has either begun or does trust Jaskier, or at least cares enough about him to do right by him, and Jaskier learns this in very unorthodox situations.

08/2020:
"I'm a big fan of introspection in a character who figures out something unsettling about themselves, and you really hit it with Song Lan. You write his inner turmoil with his desire for Xiao Xingchen, the realization that he might not know as much about his friend than he thought, and his aversion to touch so well: I can 'hear' Song Lan in your writing.
His pining feels like a physical thing throughout the entire story, and it hurts so good each time it hits. The focus on Xiao Xingchen's mouth is a focus that I didn't know I needed until now.
What I believe I like most about the story are the different scenarios that we see -it feels like we are brought into the middle of their lives, so we get to experience the many ways Song Lan is affected by Xiao Xingchen while they travel as rogue cultivators. It's a nice parallel to the singularity of Song Lan's introspection.
Your characterization of Xiao Xingchen is also nothing short of glorious -his teasing and his consideration of Song Lan's boundaries, as well as his forwardness when the two come together are perfect. That realization that Xiao Xingchen was just as desperate is a beautiful thing."

Bookmarker's Notes
03/2021:
"I was trying to pinpoint precisely what it was about this story that had me coming back to it over and over, and ultimately I think it was three things: pacing, footnotes, and introspection.
There is a leisurely or savoring pace to the entirety of the story as Crowley and Aziraphale consider each other's actions and habits, and that continues even when they finally realize they want the same thing. There is a thoroughness to the descriptions of Crowley's desires while watching Aziraphale enjoy food that is still there when they explore each other physically that makes the story feel so much longer than it is, and it's wonderful.
The footnotes were pure gold and had the same clever delivery that Pratchett used in his writing. I felt a nice blend of book and show characteristics in the story with the fun details of their histories and the occasional reveal of the reader as the audience. I have copied well over a dozen favorite lines as I read through the story again to comment, and some I still laugh at by simply reading.
My favorite line: "... Crowley with hot buttery sourdough would constitute a major temptation, an irresistible wile..."
I can hear it in Aziraphale's voice so perfectly that I inevitable giggle when reading it.
Finally, introspection: I really enjoyed the way Aziraphale and Crowley's points of view were so distinct in the first half of the story, ruminating on their personal desires for things and each other. The topic of food and pleasure and the way it is presented here -with the comparisons of how pleasure is achieved, with company and in remembrance of company, among other things -was seriously thought-provoking for me and my own mentality with food. I have discussed this topic with friends after reading this story, because it is very human of these two to have these pleasures, and it is perfect to see them realize their mutual feelings in response to Aziraphale's discovery of Crowley's fridge."

The consistent thread of Jiang Yanli enjoying that is hers is beautifully felt throughout Jin Zixuan's experience. Despite how mild her countenance is, her complete control over her actions and her husband is there and so very compelling.
Jin Zixuan's slow realization that he has been so thoroughly marked makes the whole thing even sweeter."

01/2022:
"I adore this story. I was absolutely taken in by the first scene, with how Saitama reacts to Genos enjoying himself. You set everything up to be a riveting parallel of character studies, and the unfolding of it all was so much fun to read.
I loved how you portrayed both characters. Genos is such an interesting character, and the way you portrayed him kept me perfectly balanced in understanding him as a cyborg. His bantering with Saitama was hilarious in the way he teased and riled the man up.
Flustered Saitama was a gift from god. That line made me laugh out loud. It really encapsulates Genos as a whole in this story.
I really enjoyed how you portrayed Saitama in that he had clear growth as he went through multiple hilarious tribulations. He actually feels older than Genos, which is a little refreshing. The discussion between them when Saitama says yes to a relationship is one of my favorite parts.
I found myself understanding what Genos was trying to show Saitama regarding how he gets off before Saitama did, but you made it quite clear when Saitama finally stopped trying to read Genos like a robot and started to pay attention to the human nonverbal communication.
I thought it was well done; I can imagine that there would be a hurdle when focusing too hard on the machinery that makes Genos who he is as a physical construct. You showed us Genos making the hurdles to show Saitama that he is more than his parts, and he succeeds. And the results are super hot, as healthy communication and mutual desires typically are."

"This is a compelling read. The portrayals of Fjord and Caduceus are spot on; I can hear their respective voices perfectly, and the banter feels natural. There is this lack of conflict that can sometimes come with scenarios like the one Fjord wants, but Caduceus' mild tone and conscientious manner of speaking keeps that conflict at bay, and it is deeply felt.
What is also deeply felt is the was Caduceus gets more and more into the scene with Fjord, as well as Fjord's slow descent into subspace. One of my favorite lines is: He feels raw and fresh already, like Caduceus could crack him open with his hands, expose him. That was only the beginning, and it set the pace for the rest of the scene. I felt just as taken in as Caduceus was. The end was great in that Caduceus clearly learned something new about himself and that there was potential to learn more."

"I don't know how to comment on this story. I want to say that it hit me like a freight train, but I think it was more like I was a frog in a pot of slowly heated water, unaware of being boiled alive until the timer went off at the end.
I must have read this a dozen times, and I still find new things to love about it.
I could feel that closet. The pacing of Kirishima's thoughts on color and heat, thrills and the desire to stretch time, all of it could be felt so keenly. It was as if you truly were stretching out time.
Kirishima's dawning awareness of Bakugou's attraction to him and his own understanding was beautiful. There are so many lines that I loved pertaining to this, but my favorite one may be this one:
He kisses back because of course he does, of course he needs to, but he forgets about friends finding hidden spots in empty buildings, about shameful shadows; he kisses back and nothing else could feel better, nothing else could compare to Bakugou wanting him.
I feel stunned simply by putting it here. Your writing style is so compelling; you made a single game of Seven Minutes in Heaven into a study of sensuality and of discovery between friends, of what small amount of time is needed to change someone's outlook completely."

"The integration of Doms and subs in the hero society is an interesting idea, and I love how you set it up in the world. The way you showed us Aizawa and Yamada's points of view was great to see, especially with their misunderstandings: I felt my heart being squeezed for them individually, while also deeply empathizing with Nemuri while she watched them.
Really loved the desired intimacy between the two of them, but what really got me was -maybe crazily -the condom usage? It felt like a physical metaphor for their relationship, a divide between them that allowed them the closeness while not being too close. The final scene where Aizawa is finally collared and they are having sex without protection had a pointed vulnerability, which wrapped the story up nice and lovely."

"I absolutely loved how you characterized Hizashi in this story. His progression of emotions from buying the skirt to seeing Shouta in it is beautiful in its development.
There is something so thrilling about discovering something new within something (or someone) familiar and accepting it voraciously. It invites a change to a relationship that goes beyond good sex. Shouta voluntarily wearing the skirt and Hizashi's unwitting reveal and enjoyment of Shouta's praise kink opens communication in a way that I love, especially in a well-established relationship like theirs."
