Summary
"I'm really sorry we're late, Mr. Aizawa! We had to get rid of the body and Endeavor is just as heavy as he looks. I got your favorite though!" He hands the cup to the teacher and, blaming it on sleep deprivation or his coffee addiction, he forgets about the first part and takes the cup with a grunt, letting the warmth seep into his palms as he gestures for the group to take their seats. They do so and he turns to look at his lesson for the day. A simple battle test, should be simple enough. The silence of the class is unsettling until he takes a sip of the drink, as black and bitter as possible, the kind of coffee that Hizashi says makes him even more dark and gloomy. The caffeine makes the first part of Midoriya's explaination really sink in.

All Midoryia wanted was to train his quirk, maintain a low profile, and defeat his criminal grandfather. He didn't expect a stuffed rabbit to show up one day and tell him he was the reincarnated prince of a destroyed space kingdom. He also didn't expect to become a magical boy and dedicate his life to fighting evil magical forces hellbent on killing him and six other people.
He and his magical friends are going to become the headaches of the hero community as they fulfill their mission and attend UA.

Izuku grabs his uniform, dusting off imaginary lint before donning it. He stands in front of the mirror, fighting for his life as he tries to tie that wretched tie. Alas, no matter how many times he watches a tutorial, he can’t do it.
It’s not like it matters very much. Aizawa hasn’t called him out on it, so it isn’t a violation of the dress code.
But what if someone says something? What would he do then? How could he tell them he’s sixteen and doesn’t know how to tie a fucking tie? It’s not like they are going to say anything. He wears it like this every day.
They might, though. He can’t read people's minds. What if they are finally sick of him showing up looking like he slept with his tie on?
Izuku groans, giving up. Whatever. He’s not even going to waste energy on his hair, either. No matter how paranoid he is. All he can do is hope no one is silently judging him.

Summary
Izuku had a soulmark before. Explosions across his collarbone, bright and loud, a neon sign that screamed for all the world to hear exactly who his soulmate was.
It disappears in his final year of middle school. Izuku asks the universe to take it away after his last straw is taken in Kacchan’s hands and snapped in half, and he isn’t granted a second one. Not that he minds all that much- no, no one is better than Kacchan was, and Izuku thinks he can settle for finding love one day without the help of some fancy mark on his skin.
Hitoshi never had a soulmark before. He grew up without one and got bullied for it. After all, he was the villain kid, so despicable with such an evil quirk that even the universe agreed he wasn’t worthy of love. He grew to accept it slowly, eventually coming to terms with the fact that he’d have to find someone on his own even if the odds were stacked against him.
Both of them are surprised one night to see a splotch of color on their hands, a thin matching thread that begins to grow as the days go by.
Thankfully, neither are disappointed.
