“you can just get it filled at the usual chemist my dear” the doctor continued with Alice nodding along and agreeing to the simple instructions that she couldn’t quite comprehend that the doctor still thought were too complicated for her. She was mad, not slow-witted
Once the instructions had been relayed to thoroughly it might as well have been in triplicate. Alice hurriedly said her goodbyes, wishing the doctor a good day as she made her way out of his office and back out into the street which were already bustling with the midday crowd. Quickly reaching into her dress Alice made sure she still had the slip of paper and the small bag which she had prepared earlier before leaving Frau Fittings house. It would after all had been a shame to endure all that inane blabbering just for her to miss out on her evening activities. Since she had however not forgotten, misplaced or otherwise lost the bag Alice turned and joined the moving stream of people and started walking very much in the opposite direction of the Fittings estate.
