CyberLife was never able to successfully replicate the scents and pheromones of alphas and omegas, and thus all androids were designed to appear as betas. Connor walks into his first mission the imitation of a beta. He does not walk out of it as one.

Deviancy. New relationships, new emotions, new sensations. Connor can eat, now. He can taste. He can sleep, dream, love, laugh, cry.
But there’s something else. Something making adjusting to this new life very difficult. And it’s killing androids.
(Named after Give Yourself A Try by the 1975)

Summary
Connor was already running toward them when the man made a lunge for the weapon, wrenching it free from its holster and turning it on Hank. The safety clicked off.
Everything slowed. He could see his finger squeezing the trigger, the flash of the muzzle. Calculations darted through his processor: every choice, the same result.
He wouldn’t make it in time.

Summary
Elder Price was not an untouchy man, by any means. He never avoided being touched and didn't have any problems with closeness. Connor knew that Elder Price was no stranger to hugs and whatnot, seeing as he had grown up the oldest of three and his mission companion was a very affectionate man.
The problem was that now, Elder Price could not stand it. Connor truly could not understand how a man like Kevin Price could go from hugging people in greeting (out of habit, of course) to practically jumping out of his skin every time someone got close to him. The brunette never told Connor what was happening or why he did this, but it was obvious; it was never more obvious than it was a few moments ago.
***
Connor tries learning about The Book Thing. It does not go well for either of them.

“Why’d they make you look so goofy,” Hank had said, hatred curling his lips into something angry and disgusted. “And give you that weird voice?”
Connor, a machine, had responded promptly and succinctly and with a little bit more sass than strictly dictated by its programming. It was entirely unbothered by the insult.
Connor, a deviant, months later, is bothered.

Summary
The twins Connor and Richard Anderson are inseperable. They always have been. That desire to always be near the other only grew stronger after the younger had almost lost his brother. He watched the police work to ensure Connor's survival, doing anything to make that thing give up. He watched as the police saved his brother's live.
After that he swore to become just like that, to do everything to protect Connor.
And Connor, he was scared.
OR
Human twins Connor and RK900 got some childhood trauma including androids but need exactly those to help them look past that.

Summary
Bringing life-likeness to something that isn't truly alive was once a challenge for CyberLife, but not by 2038. However their creation is starting to express undesirable traits, and so they create a prototype to attempt to solve this error. A woman at the forefront of its design is quite proud of what she has sculpted to near perfection.

Summary
A new batch of ninth-graders has joined the ranks as students of Jericho Secondary School. Among them is a talented artist whose recent life changes have led him to public school for the first time, an overachiever who lives to please his mother (who also happens to be the principal), and an athletically-gifted girl who has tried and failed her whole life to be happy. The three are faced with the challenge of figuring out who they are and deciding what they will be.

And then, when it was time to pay, Connor’s face shattered.
He’d had to log out of Hank’s PayPal and use his own instead, the account he’d never used before.
The screen mocked him, now. Taunted him.
Before him was a blue circle, spinning like the one on his temple, next to a block of text with a checkbox.
I’m not a robot.
Connor stared at it, helpless.

Summary
And the thing was that a part of him believed it. He’d been fine as a slave. That kind of ignorance was well and truly bliss, that unfeeling, unthinking void that showed only an objective and a goal. Connor had enjoyed it, as much as a machine could enjoy things. To hunt deviants had given him purpose, an end to achieve with stimulating difficulty, the dull satisfaction of a job well done being his reward. He hadn’t thought of himself as a slave. Or rather, he’d seen nothing wrong with the idea of him existing solely to fulfil a mission.
Now, people were forging their own destiny, picking out their own purpose, and Connor would’ve said that he’d been too busy at the time, that he’d had bigger problems like leading the revolution alongside Markus, but that would’ve been a lie because he’d had weeks after that, and he’d gotten nowhere.
He’d gotten nowhere. He was still right where he’d started, a newborn in the world, clueless and stupid despite holding all the knowledge in the world at his fingertips.

Humans get sick all the time and recover without too much fuss. Hank didn't realize androids could get sick too. He tells himself Connor just needs some time for his weird approximation of an immune system to kick whatever bug he's picked up.
(Connor insists he's fine. No really, he is. This is fine.)

"I get what you're saying, okay?" Hank glances at Connor, "And yes, if we were about to play honeymooners for an *entire week*, I might agree that we should play it up. But for this?" He gestures towards the hotel with a lazy wave of his hand. "We're just gonna pretend to look for a wedding venue and honeymoon suite. They don’t know us, they don’t care if we hate each other, as long as we spend all our fucking money."
--
Hank and Connor go on a quick undercover investigation at a hotel, pretending to be newly engaged. What could possibly go wrong?
