    Despite the complications that came upon his life in recent years, all Daniel wanted to do while being a groupie on tour was shoot a documentary about the vampire Lestat. But between Lestat's inconsistent desire to cooperate battling with his need to always be in the spotlight, his unrelenting, mortal bandmates, the roommate he made just to treat him like garbage, Lestat's lingering feelings for Louis, the return of Daniel's own maker, and the later return of Daniel's maker's maker, Daniel finds himself again unable to portray an objective framing of Lestat's story, both for the past and the present.

    While Daniel films the band as they travel across continents, he comes to realize they are being hunted by something, someone familiar yet someone Daniel had never met. Meanwhile, DJ Sam Barclay steals Lestat's bandmates from him.
