Damus is dealing with the trials of being a young bot at outlier school: crushes, mastering his powers, dealing with the crushing weight of isolation and rejection by a cruel and heartless world. Y'know, the usual.
Soundwave is dealing with the trials of being Soundwave at outlier school: classrooms are too loud, the dining hall is also too loud, and he keeps accidentally calling his classmates by the names of strangers who live halfway across the planet. Y'know, the usual (for him).
When the two each come to the realization that the other is a neat person, they become practically unstoppable through the power of friendship. Unless you put a concrete block or a very loud speaker or something in their way. Then they're extremely stoppable.

Summary
As the race for the Iacon Relics intensified, an unknown life signal kept appearing on radar scans, and any bot out on patrols reported receiving the same signal in various areas. But to everyone's relief the signal was not tied to the Decepticons, but it did seem to follow any Decepticon bogey that was spotted by radar. Within the last few days, it hovered close to an alleged energon mine. But without any proof of the mine's existence, no one would investigate, thinking it was the work of MECH or faulty sensors
Fate then reared its ugly head as the Decepticons moved in to claim their found treasure… but someone was waiting for them, trying to steal their bounty. And they wouldn't have it.
Now the Autobots are stuck with this stranger, and they have to figure out who she is and what she is here for. Will she join Team Prime or will she become another rogue they have to worry about?

Summary
The war is over, and Shockwave returns to Cybertron to stand trial for his crimes. Talon-1, a doctor, is brought in to testify as an expert witness. When the lone mneumosurgeon raises concerns over his mental competence, citing the lingering effects of Shadowplay and condemning the former Autobot Regime, Shockwave seizes the opportunity to undermine the tribunal. His plans begin to unravel, however, when his only benefactor is assigned the task of undoing the effects of his Shadowplay.
Or: Shockwave relearns what it means to feel, and struggles to reconcile who he was, who he became, and who he wants to be.
