Ever since the strange bug came out of Simone’s ice cream cart her world kept getting stranger. She tries not to lose herself in the bustle of the present but recently she’s been feeling off.
Marshall thinks he has his future all figured out with a fledgling music career, an awesome boyfriend and minimal contact with his mother. He wants to keep moving forward, but without resolving the issues of his childhood he’ll never find his way.

Summary
After the events of the ball and calling Hana Abadeer a bad mother in front of the social elites, Marshall Lee didn’t think he could love someone more than he did after that night. Gary practically threw away his future to defend him. But Marshall should have known better. His mother is a demon. A soul sucking demon and she does not take kindly to those who embarrass her like that. When Marshall goes to see Gary following a day after the events, he discovers he never got to work at the bakery…in fact no one had seen him since Marshall dropped him off at home after the ball… with a pit in his stomach Marshall goes to his house to see if Gary was safe…but all he found was a broken door lock and a messy living room…and a letter with an all too familiar seal.
Takes place directly after the events of the episode “The Star”

"Listen, all right," Marshall Lee said, pushing off G.B.'s desk. "It's about my mom."
"How many times have I told you to use antecedents to your pronouns," said G.B., but boredly. He was drained at the idea of going through all this again. And yet he'd still opened his window. God. How stupid was he?
"I still don't know what that means." Marshall Lee gestured as though to brush the words away. "It doesn't matter. My mom has some of my stuff, and I need it back."
G.B. almost said, "So go talk to your mother," but even now, he couldn't make himself be that cruel. Marshall Lee had never told him the whole story—Marshall Lee never told anyone the whole story—but even so.
Instead, G.B. shrugged. "What has that got to do with me?"
Marshall Lee bit his lip, hard, then pushed his hands up into his hair, tugging at his thick dreads. "I need that stuff back," he repeated. "And I can't... I need help. I can't face her alone."
