“What is the meaning of this?” Will bit out. “Who the hell do you think you are? Do you have any idea who you’ve kidnapped?”
Hannibal’s breath caught in his throat.
The profiler’s voice was rich; deeper than he’d expected and heady as a glass of wine. His anger roughened the dulcet tones to a delicious growl, but Hannibal could listen to him speak for hours and never tire of the sound. The silence stretched for long moments before he realized he was staring, lost in thought. Hannibal shook his head and crossed his legs, focusing instead on Will’s questions.
“I take it that’s a no to the drink,” he replied smoothly, reaching for his own cup. “And you know very well who I am. We are in constant contention; it would be difficult to be unfamiliar.”
Hannibal Lecter, head of the crime syndicate of Baltimore, Maryland, has everything he could possibly want - that is, except peace. When the man who has been causing him not end of trouble asks for his help, the two of them, once thinking themselves in complete opposition, might find they have more in common than either could possibly imagine.

It's that time of year! Christmas is fast approaching and Will finds himself having to accept an invitation to a Christmas party he can't turn down. One that includes him pulling for a Secret Santa that isn't Hannibal. Unaware that it's a Secret Santa, Hannibal is secretly furious that Will is buying a gift for someone other than him. He starts reinserting himself in Will's life after a year of minimal contact because he wants a gift from Will too, despite his supposed relationship with Alana.

By the time the pas de deux was over, Will was on the verge of tears. The music that accompanied the dance was the most beautiful he had ever heard. He couldn’t believe that this ballet had been considered a failure when Tchaikovsky was a genius.
What was left of the show flew by. When the dancers showed up for a last curtain call, Will could have sworn Hannibal was looking directly at him. At the beginning of that night, Will thought there was nothing more tedious than ballet, but now he couldn't think of a better way to spend Christmas Eve than watching Hannibal Lecter dance.

Para cuando terminó el pas de deux, Will estaba al borde de las lágrimas. La música que acompañaba el baile era la más bonita que había escuchado y no pudo evitar preguntarse cómo es que este ballet había sido considerado un fracaso en sus inicios si Chaikovski era un genio.
El resto de la presentación pasó volando. Cuando los bailarines se presentaron para una ovación final, Will pudo haber jurado que Hannibal lo miraba directamente a él. Hannibal Lecter is a very dangerous cannibal that eats human beings like chips, but well, nobody knows it cuz he's so smart. Except it's all in his head. Meantime he's just a pretentious asshole that pretends to work as psychiatrists, and he's also a father (not biological at least) of very sassy daughter that causes him too much trouble (at least twice a day he plans to eat her of course). Then there's another father named Will Graham who also hates their child (his wife died, totally by accident) and is also very sassy and rude and, suprisingly, hairy. The main plot here is Hannibal wondering whether he prefers eating Will Graham or eating his ass. And of course those two will be constantly annoyed by many other people that just happened to be twice as crazy as them (i'm looking at you, Freddie).
