Summary
It's been two years since V agreed to undergo a procedure that was meant to save her life, she wakes up in a world she barely recognizes, to friends that were no longer there, to relationships that no longer matter, and to a world that had moved on without her. She also discovers she can't even go back to her old life, to resume her quest to be the very best. Because she is already a Legend in the eyes of the Afterlife, and there is no such thing as a living legend.
Her combat capabilities have also been diminished, something to do with the procedure, her body being unable to take combat-oriented augments and implants. V's world is now colder, more hostile, and more depraved than she remembers.

‘Making room for V two point O?’ A familiar voice says but it's not really a voice. It's in his head. So he ignores it like he's been doing for the past month, continues wiping and cleaning and throwing away.
The hairs on the back of Johnny's neck stand up when a phantom feeling of someone wrapping a hand around his waist sinks into his skin. ‘Is this real enough for you J?’Johnny flinches at the impossible feeling,turning to face the voice.
And the voice is V.
Well not really V, he's still at the institute. This is a different version of him that isn't real. This is V's ghost, a fragment of Johnny's imagination and a manifestation of his guilt. His own personal form of torture who appeared the minute after the real V went under the knife.

V rescues Johnny from beyond the blackwall after coming back from Mikoshi. Despite V's acceptance for death, Johnny isn't ready to let him go. He does whatever it takes to get V an operation to fix whatever's going on with his head. But when V wakes up he doesn't remember a thing. Now Johnny must navigate what it means to love someone who doesn't remember doing the same.

Johnny is overwriting V's brain without even trying, and if they don't do anything, they'll both die. They either have to learn to cooperate, or V has to find a way to get Johnny out of his head before time's up. V's journey through Night City takes him from the lowest street corners and highest penthouses, and even out in the badlands, as he hurries to save whatever's left of his mind.
A retelling of the main plot from the video game CYBERPUNK 2077, CYBRPNK:BRAINDANCER is a first-person narrative about a man on the verge of collapse in a world that's melting down.
Legends aren't born in Night City. They're buried.

Enter the FIA, the biggest fucking wrench Kerry had ever seen, sailing right for all of his plans. As if the enemies V ran around making weren't enough, the fucking feds had to step in and start meddling in their biz. Uncool.
