Eren has a past were he didn't give a fuck about anyone except for his parents.
Levi lived with his sister, holding the blame of their dad leaving over his head because of what he is.
Being together was the best secret they had after meeting.
If Eren didn't mind telling Levi he was a monster and if Levi couldn't help the thug, people made him out to be when he was just trying to protect himself. Then let that be another secret kept between them.
If they were magnetic then why stop the pull.
They were just them together, a soft love. But if no one was willing to see the monster hiding in plain sight or try to understand someone, forced into a role, who were those people to try and stop them from loving each other. To dictate them from being together even if being together is against the law.
To keep themselves safe their love is a secret they're willing to keep.

You glanced up from your papers and were drawn to his eyes, surprised to find him staring back at you. The tension grew thick with meaning the longer you sat in silence with your gazes locked, until you finally had to break it.
"Is there something you want, Levi?"
There was a smirk in the corner of your mouth, but his expression was painfully sincere. He studied you like a complicated puzzle, an enigma that escaped him but therefore intrigued him even more.
"Yes. But I don't know if I can have it.”
Your heart flipped inside your chest, but you forced yourself to stay calm.
"Why don't you ask for it then and see what happens?"
He looked conflicted for a moment, thoughts running wild behind his eyes, jumping from one sentence to the next and finally settling on an answer.
"A kiss."
You took a deep breath.
"From me?" you asked, your voice carefully controlled.
He held your gaze, unwavering in his resolve.
"Yes."

Fingers closing around the brooch, he gripped it tightly and pulled it up to his chest.

You, along with the majority of the population, suffer from anxiety, adhd, depression, and uncovered ptsd, resulting in art being a way to express and escape those feelings. Art is a skill you use to cope, especially since you struggle in school. Unfortunate events attract to you like a magnet, and a series of stomach wrenching events pile up, putting you on constant paranoia. Leading into the baby steps of the story, your English professor had a heart attack, so the literature department head had to step in and teach your class, due to being understaffed. The first day he is teaching, you accidentally disrupt his class, and that's where it goes from bad to worse, and you end up getting tangled in an emotional war amongst yourself.
This story is going to remain incomplete, but a rewrite is a possibility. Thank you everyone!
