Summary

Summary
The Eisner siblings have been a lot of places in their lives, but they never thought their nomadic lifestyle would lead them to Garreg Mach.
Blaine, the brother, will be the professor of the Golden Deer and while, objectively speaking, neither of them should teach, of the two he's the better choice - much to Rhea's chagrin. While Blaine tries to keep his messy self pulled together and navigate his increasingly complicated love life, his sister, Byleth, becomes a student of the Blue Lions when she sees her own darkness echoed in the eyes of the House leader, slowly realising that maybe she doesn't need a heart after all. Come navigate the world of "what the hell am I doing" as they stumble through their new lives.
And that's just part one.
The school is a mess, but these siblings are messier, and the two have more than their fair share of work cut out for them if they want to survive. Best hold on, it's a hell of a ride.

Whenever Byleth caught a glimpse of her own reflection nowadays, it felt as if she laid eyes on a stranger. Not quite Sothis, whom she’d come to accept as part of her, but not quite herself either. Her eyes and hair were all the wrong shades.
Would Jeralt recognise her, if he’d still been here?
Did these features resemble her mother’s at least, or did she now resemble either of her parents even less than before?
Byleth had cared little about what she’d looked like growing up – happily cutting her hair short to keep it out of her face during combat, and keeping people guessing as to her gender until she’d been about fifteen or so – but she couldn’t help but feel bothered about it now.
It felt silly, and entirely unlike her, yet she couldn’t shake the feeling something about her appearance was wrong.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she roamed the monastery shortly after receiving her powers, and everyone looked at her as if they saw the same stranger she did.
