Now that punishment turned into something more serious, and the team wished they could have done something to prevent this. Maybe Hondo should have just let the kid come back instead of sending him home.

    After Street let his emotions get in the way and messed up a mission, he was injured and was instructed by Hondo to go home. When Cortez gets a call from the hospital that one of her officers was in the ICU while Hondo and the team were supposed to be resting, it made the team realize something wasn't right. Street was shot in his own home. The one place where he was supposed to feel safe.
