Summary
Mo Ran is no less than shocked when Olympia-gold medalist Chu Wanning abruptly ends his figure skating career at age 29, right in front of him, just another slap to the face when Mo Ran has just delivered the worst performance of a lifetime and come in last at the Grand Prix. Afterwards, Mo Ran returns to his adoptive parents' rink, not really knowing whether to continue the sport himself - after all, his main goal was chasing Chu Wanning down so he could finally get him to acknowledge him after all this time. However, when he comes home from teaching some kids basic skating skills, he barges into their living room containing the usual people (Xue Zhengyong and Wang Chuqing) and the usual creatures (Xue Meng and Veggiebun) and... Chu Wanning, for some reason.
His ankle in a cast, and on crutches.

Modern au- university (I suck at writing summaries)
Chu Wanning is a university student aiming to finish his doctorate degree, another two years is all he needs. He works at a little coffee shop owned by a friend. Sometimes, he sleepovers after a late afternoon research class and wakes up to a morning walk to the university.
Mo Ran, a first year architect student, who weirdly loves collecting flowers. He has another three years for the course he takes and temporarily stays in the nearby dorms of the university. He has a habit of waking up early and prefers waiting for a bus at the bus stand. Even though the university is a fifteen minute walk from his dorm. He sometimes grabs coffee from a little coffee shop nearby and skips his way to his designated space.
One day, Chu Wanning meets a first year. There's a sort of pull but Chu Wanning also experiences an intense grief while the first year feels an unexplained ache in his chest. After that incident, they both seemed to have weirdly vivid dreams of an emperor, a disciple, a teacher and is that... a lover?
