During a walk in Liyue harbor one evening after work, Zhongli overhears a conversation from a traveling merchant. He lingers for a moment, listening to the young gentlemen speak with his cohort. “I recently traveled to Mondstat. It was beautiful there,” he tells his friend. “The wine, and the taverns! I went into this one that had nearly a thousand different kinds all just behind the counter!”
The young man continues to ramble on but Zhongli finally starts walking again, his mind rolling over the information he just received. A tavern in Mondstat with nearly a thousand kinds of wine? It sounded like an exaggeration, something the man had likely envisioned while drunk. But Zhongli knows that Mondstat is, indeed, the main port city for the Wine Industry in Teyvat.
That being the case.. perhaps he should take the coming fall months to take a vacation to Mondstat for a little while. And besides, it’s been quite some time since he and Barbatos caught up. This would be a nice opportunity.
