His presence made the hair on the back of her neck stand, her heart thumping rapidly. He leaned in, causing a hitch in her breath. Even through the bond she’d recognize that scent anywhere, like she was perfectly attuned to detect him. Rey was by no means short but next to Kylo Ren she felt incredibly small.
“I don’t need you,” she hissed. His dark brown eyes met hers, he smirked “You don’t?” and with that he was gone.
As he vanished before her she sunk deeper into the wall, slowly sliding down it to sit on the floor. Ever since she’d met this man darkness began creeping inside her. What was she going to do?"

When the memories catch up to her, though, she is hesitant to believe that what she always wanted might be true--Ben Solo might just be alive.
This work is inspired by diasterisms' beautiful work "i kill giants" which every reylo should be given as assigned reading. I don't plan to follow the same plot events, but I am truly obsessed with it and had to word vomit something to ease the pain of sporadic updates. Thank you for your work, Thea!

The tailor flicked through the day's orders projected on the holographic display, each swipe accompanied by a soft electronic chime.
"Another day, another dozen cloaks," he muttered to himself while he sorted the data. "Boring. Boring." The datapad was updated with the customer’s measurements his assistant had to have taken seconds before right next door. "Oh…?"
He frowned at the data. Pants, so far, so ordinary. What wasn't ordinary were the measurements for the crotch of the pants. Someone who needed such measurements had to be equipped like a fathier. Ridiculous. Ridiculous, but – fascinating. And most certainly a mistake.

In the cold war between the co-commanders, Kylo Ren has won, assumed control of the First Order, and taken steps to render Hux powerless and humiliated. As they both struggle with their new realities, Ren comes to the reluctant conclusion that he needs the General on his side to ensure the success of the First Order. Unfortunately, his actions have finally driven Hux to consider the worst kind of treason and Ren can't let that slide.
Ren needs to bind Hux back to his side. How can he bend the general without breaking him?
