Summary
Professor Riddle curled his index and middle finger in a motion, gesturing for Harry to go near the professor’s desk. Begrudgingly, Harry walked towards him.
“Do you know why I asked for your presence, Mr Potter?” He asked, inclining his head.
“I believe I don’t, sir.”
“Rude boy,” Professor Riddle said, bluntly.
Harry doesn’t believe in God. He recites prayers articulated in the name of a father, a son, and a heavenly spirit. He speaks of them like proses and songs of fiction, but never in the name of unwavering faith. There was no reason to serve and kneel to a god that would inevitably condemn him into eternal damnation; He was a freak, after all.
Enter young seminarian Tom Riddle, a seemingly-grey Cedric Diggory, a come-and-go chamber that remembers nothing, and shattered vows of redemption.
