Kazuma Kiryu. Dead in Onomichi with his ashes interred in Naha and his ghost lingering in a temple garden on the outskirts of Yokohama. Darker beneath his eyes, more creased above his brow, brushed with stray hints of white around his temples and down his thick sideburns, clad in a samue instead of a suit, but still unmistakably himself.
Hanawa took a breath. “Why on earth are you dressed like that?” he demanded.
“I’m here to free myself from worldly desires,” Kiryu said, turning his gaze back to the garden.

"What?" Nishitani propped himself up to look down the length of the couch. Shishido and Yoshimura both stood in front of the heavy wooden desk, the pages of the dossier spread out before them. Shishido had angled himself to the side to have a line of sight to Yoshimura and Nishitani. There was an unsettling glint in his eyes.
"Nishitani?" Yoshimura turned to look at him, considering. Considering? "I don't know. He's tall for a woman."
