He gets cut off by Lance gently grasping his hands and running his thumb over his knuckles. “I’d love to help Keith. Quiznack! You don’t even have to ask.” He laughs a bit to try and lighten the mood. “Sooo, what exactly is this coping skill?”
The silence took over the room again, leaving Lance confused and concerned. It was just a coping skill, what was Keith so nervous about confessing?
Keith’s reply comes out in a whisper. “It’s called age-regression.”
He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and couldn’t hide his confusion. “Age-what?”

His eyebrows furrowed and he set the mugs on Keith’s nightstand, bending down to see where the noise was coming from.
What he saw instantly made his heart crack a bit.
Keith was under the bed with a spare blanket and wearing headphones, pressing them against his ears tightly with his eyes screwed shut, looking on the brink of crying or having a full-blown panic attack.

Taking a deep breath, he finally asks it. “Do you ever... not like that I’m autistic...?” He asked, picking at his nails, unable to meet Lance’s gaze.
Then, he heard the most unholy gasp and Lance turn his body more towards him. “Babe, cariño, love of my life, what are you talking about...?” He asked, sounding incredulous. Keith couldn’t help but glance back up and saw the other with his mouth agape, eyebrows raised, and his eyes having shock in them.
Was that a weird thing to ask?

Keith is insecure about the fact that he's autistic because of a stupid Reddit post where people complained about their autistic partners which results in Keith worrying Lance is also bothered by the fact he's autistic and he tries to mask. Lance notices and then tells Keith that he's perfect the way he is.
