Of course, every once in a while the effects of Jonah’s short yet already tragic life reared their ugly head.

It takes Carlos a second to realize the question was directed at him. He looks to the side, finding the red-headed woman who made eye-contact with Carlos moments ago. “Huh?”
She nods at the field. “Which player are you here for?”
Carlos rubs his hands on his pants before he settles again, glancing in TK’s direction. “Oh. Uh, number two. TK. My husband.”
