    Harry Potter begins his journey to Hogwarts in a different way. How will his life change when a bushy haired girl is the first to open his compartment door instead of a red head? What if Albus Dumbledore decides to abandon his 'Greater Good' mantra in support of giving him the life he deserves? How will this effect the Wizarding world? What friends will help him along the way? Follow Harry Potter as his life could have been at least a bit better than the life he was originally forced to live.

    This fic will essentially be a part of a seven series rewrite where the people in Harry's life are a bit more open and honest with him. No Dumbledore bashing. No Ron bashing. No Weasley bashing(well, maybe some). Harry & Hermione will be more of a duo than a Golden Trio. They will still have a group of friends, but the two of them will be the dominating forces in this story. Not a soul-bond fic.

    Of course, I own none of this. This is not a polar extreme fic, but somewhere in the middle. It will be a bit lighter in some parts, but will overall be a bit grittier than the original. I will give proper warnings
