Summary
Rey Johnson feels like she finally is part of a family at 17 when she goes to live with her best friend Kaydel. She especially loves spending time with Kaydel’s older cousin, Ben Solo. She develops feelings for Ben over the two-year period that she lives there but is scared of how he will react when she tells him how she feels. She finally works up the courage to reveal to Ben that she is in love with him but before she can tell him, he reveals that he is engaged to a woman that bullied Rey in school. A woman that Rey didn't even know he was dating.
She is devastated and decides to cut Ben out of her life to avoid further heartbreak.
Eight years later, while working at an advertising firm, Rey is sent to woo a potential client at the Solo agency and reunites with Ben. He is now divorced, and Rey is now engaged to Finn. Rey is forced to make a decision about her future and if she sees Ben as a part of that future.

Summary
Shortly after divorcing her cheating husband, New Yorker Sammie Darlington decides to start over when her job offers to relocate her to their office in Birmingham, England. She’s started to settle into her new life when she meets two men at work who are complete opposites of each other that both catch her interest even if they don’t seem to show any romantic interest in her.
She tries to hide her attraction to both men and distracts herself by making new friends and finding new experiences. As time goes on she finds herself drawn in to both of their lives while trying to navigate her new surroundings in some downright embarrassing situations.
Henry is the good natured, handsome playboy, who Sammie finds herself excited to see every day, even if she thinks he doesn’t notice her as he always surrounds himself with much younger, attractive women.
Tom is her boss and next-door neighbor who is typically sullen and grumpy. He seems to go out of his way to make her new life in the UK miserable but Sammie can’t help but find herself drawn to him even if he acts like he finds her annoying.

Rey Niima falls into a state of deep despair and loneliness after her fiancee dies in a tragic car accident. She has a hard time sleeping at night because of constant nightmares about the accident. Her best friend, Rose suggests that she hire a professional cuddler to help her sleep. Her ‘Cuddle Buddy’, Kylo Ren seems to be just what she needs in her life. He’s handsome and charming. He provides her with comfort and companionship.
One night after the pangs of loneliness hit her especially hard, she begs him to lie to her and tell her that he loves her and wants her to be his. He does and from then on, she asks him to continue to lie to her as it brings her solace.
After running out of money to pay Kylo for his services, Rey lets Kylo go from her life. She comes to the conclusion that she is in love with him. She fears that Kylo only told her that he loved her because she paid him to but still has some hope that he really does love her.
