Summary
If someone had told Eddie at twenty that he would end up here again, at Hawkins High School, as a teacher nonetheless, he would have laughed and kicked them out.
But here he is now. Everything seems pretty much the same, even though he doubts it is. Walking into the teacher’s lounge, Eddie doesn’t expect to see any familiar faces, if he was being honest.
But he enters, and Eddie has grown, sure, but his mouth is still quicker than his brain, so he blurts out: “Well, if it isn’t Chrissy Cunningham, cheerleader extraordinaire.”
She turns, surprise clear on her face. But when she sees him, just like back then, she smiles at him. “Eddie!”– Eddie and Chrissy are teaching at Hawkins High School, and it doesn't take long for them to become rivals about who gets which student for the extracurriculars.

"Come on, princess,” Eddie coaxes. “Don’t you want to get in that big comfy bed of yours?”
“I wanna get in your big comfy bed.”
He takes a deep breath. “Alright.” If that’s what it takes. “You can have my bed tonight if you really want. I’ll take the couch.”
She whirls then, poking him in the chest. “Are you being purposef’lly obtuse, Munson?”
“No?”
The hand that poked him has changed tactics, instead rubbing circles on the section of t-shirt visible through his open jacket. She lulls him like that, like an apiarist uses smoke to pacify their bees. Eddie blinks, and her hands are in his jacket, shoving it off of him. It falls to the hall floor with a soft sound.
You wouldn’t think a bit of leather makes that much of a difference in one’s overall state of dress. He’s still got his shirt, his jeans and underwear, socks and shoes; a flannel is tied around his waist, and yet, he suddenly feels much, much more vulnerable.
And Chrissy Cunningham, the devil, with a sweet smile turning up the corners of her mouth, says in a dreamy voice, “I would really like to fuck you.”
Eddie just about expires on the spot.

“I’m sorry,” says Nancy, “I think I just hallucinated. Did you just say you wanted to fuck Eddie Munson?”
“Your best friend,” Robin clarifies in that way where Chrissy knows she’s trying to be helpful, but is instead being extremely un-fucking-helpful. “That Eddie Munson.”
“You have a crush on Eddie—”
“You think Eddie is hot—”
“I hate you both,” Chrissy seethes. “That’s not—I don’t—”
Their eyebrows raise almost in unison as Chrissy tries and fails to come up with a reasonable explanation for why she did, in fact, say her best friend’s name when Robin asked who she’d fuck after prom.
The trouble is, she’s realizing just now that in addition to Eddie being the person she loves most in the world, she would absolutely fuck him and would probably have his babies one day too, if he wanted. It’s a problem.
