Summary

In the wake, Kai is left to manage the organization's suspicions and the Chidouin family's health. Forever reminded of the blood on his hands as he strives to protect their young and only heir. Within the organization, Michiru remains unsure of who to trust, of how to act. The Ultimatum would bring forth such valuable information on human limitations, but proceeding would break her only promise. Asunaro's oppressive darkness is only lightened by one another—and yet it seems that holding by their resolve means to make an enemy of the other.
