Summary
The sea is the beginning and end. It is life and death through no fault of its own.
Those born on the sea are said to understand this innately. It is not a lesson they are taught; not in the way many must learn in those early seasons.
In exchange for their understanding, their service, those born on the sea are given gifts by the waters that birthed them.
It is a little-known fact that Israel Basilica Hands was born on the sea. His father was a sailor, his mother on a ship by accident, surviving a grueling pregnancy and birth while returning to England from the colonies.
Israel may hail from Somerset, but he is of the sea.

Yeehan week 2023: coming home
It has been six months since his last contact with any other agents from Overwatch. Going to ground was always an inevitability of covert operations, though Hanzo did not expect to feel the loss of the company of his fellow agents so keenly. He never meant to form connections.
Who is he kidding – he misses one agent so very badly.

Just ‘cause his honey ain’t much the talking type don’t mean he doesn’t communicate exactly what he wants. Hanzo’s practically the master of micro expressions; of body language that carries just as much if not more than a sentence ever could out of Cole’s mouth. Yeah, Hanzo shows he loves Cole too, even if the words never come out.

Summary
“Reed, you know as well as I do how things have gone for the department over the last six months. We’ve had so many damn android cases come through, and with so few androids in the department, well, you’ve seen what happened. We got one team with a closure rate through the roof.”
“Look, Fowler, I see the writing on the wall. If you’re gonna fire me, could you just… get it over with?” Fowler looks taken aback.
“Wh- fire you? Son, did you really think that’s what I called you in here for?”
--
It’s six months on from the android revolution, and Detective Gavin Reed is fuckin’ scared. He knows it’s only a matter of time before he’s rendered obsolete. The new android laws mean all the human cops without plastic partners must pass their cases off to cross-species teams.
Having to give up a case that looks like it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest homicide stories of the year? To the department’s dream team of Anderson and Connor? Feels like just the latest in a long line of losses.
Gavin’s new partner, RK900, may be his saving grace, and the key to solving this case. They’re going to have to learn to get along first.
