Chapter Text

Over the next few weeks, many kingdoms engaged in battle. Little by little Team Voltron managed to reclaim some of the kingdoms back from the queen.

Team Voltron had to find the time in between war and strategy to train their newly found powers.

So far Keith can make a sword appear and create small flames, nothing near as big as he did that day. Allura found she can materialize a magic rope and she has slowly learnt to manipulate the air around her. Shiro’s weapon was his hand. It glowed purple and he could heat things up, as well as form some sort of energy balls from his hand; he could also teleport. Lance started to manipulate water, he could also summon a crossbow with sharp salted water arrows. Pidge along with the original magic, can cast spells using nature around her, bringing leaves and trees to life. She could summon a small sharp leaf blade. Finally, Hunk could summon a rock cannon, he too was slowly becoming a master of his earth powers, being able to manipulate the ground and the mountains. Together they have been winning battles and preparing for the final battle with the queen.

There was an issue and their allies were feeling it. Despite winning most of the battles, there were still so many losses. The air in the camp felt so heavy and there was no time for joy. Even a simple mug of mead or wine made no difference to a calm night, there was always the fear of having to run out to battle or someone found the camp. Lance and Keith tried to get some games going but they were soon ruined by Lotor running back shouting they needed help. Something good needed to happen so they could all feel a bit more joyous.

After a few quiet days, Keith sighed as he sharpened his sword. He had been at camp for two days preparing for his next fight. He was hoping to sharpen his newfound skills before he battled Haggar.  He had just finished off the tip when Pidge ran in.

Startled, he stood, gripping his blade.

"It's just me. We need to move, now ." She instructed.

"Katie, what's up? Has someone found our camp?" He demanded. Something must have happened. Oh god, Lance.

"No, just something important I need to show you," Katie said vaguely. What could she possibly show him at a time like this?

Pidge led him towards the back end of the camp where he saw Shiro standing in front of some giant drapes. Pidge must have conjured them up to hide part of the camp. What is going on?

"Shiro, am I missing something?"

"Yes." he grinned.

"This," His brother was holding some white dress robes. Not just any white dress robes, his father's royal white dress robe.

"Why? How?" He gasped. Keith was worried he was losing everything of his father's, but this robe meant he wasn't. Keith grabbed the robe and almost hugged it. It still smelled like him. Before he knew it tears were rolling down his cheeks. Shiro hugged him.

"How did you get this?" Keith asked.

"The only thing Haggar couldn't take away from me." He shrugged as he pulled away.

"Put them on. We have a surprise." He beamed.

Keith nodded and did what he was told. He didn't know what could possibly require him to wear nice clothes, they were in the middle of a war for god sake.

Once Keith had dressed, he noticed that Shiro was also wearing particularly nice dress robes. Come to think of it, Katie was in a green dress when she got him. She never wears dresses. What the bloody hell, was going on?

Keith turned to Shiro.

"Brother please tell me what's going on?" He asked.

"Well Lance wanted to surprise you and we all helped."

Keith's heart flipped.

"S-surprise me? How?"

Shiro grinned and pulled back the large drapes.

Keith gasped. Flowers were flowing down from the trees, falling on the heads of the members of his camp. They stood on either side of what seemed like a red carpet going in between each group. It was an aisle! Keith looked along the aisle to see Lance standing next to Hunk and Adam both of whom were dressed in black robes. On the left stood Pigde with Allura next to her in a pink dress. Lance's siblings just stood in front of them, all dressed in blue robes. In the middle just behind Lance stood Lotor in purple robes, with rosary beads draped around his neck. The real eye-catcher was Lance. He stood at the end of the Aisle in blue royal dress robes. This was a wedding. His wedding! Keith welled up, Lance really was charming. He planned a surprise wedding. It was sweet, mental as hell considering they were at war and all but sweet nonetheless.

Shiro smiled and held out his arm. Holding back tears Keith linked his arms with Shiro’s. The Galra boys made some music from their instruments as the two walked up the aisle. Keith looked at Lance who was smiling so bright, it made Keith's heart swell.

"You take care of him," Shiro said to Lance when they reached the end.

"Always." Lance smiled.

Shiro passed Keith's arm over the Lance’s and he sat down.

"Hi." Lance chirped

"Hi," Keith chuckled.

"Surprised?"

"Very."

"No better time that the current war we have going on, if I'm going to die, I want to die your husband."

"That was the most romantic thing you have ever said."

"I try." He shrugged with a grin.

They turned to stand in front of Lotor.

"You may all be seated," Lotor informed.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to wed these two in holy matrimony. If there is anyone here today who believes the two should not be wed speak up now or forever hold your peace."

The two looked back at their friends.  Everyone was smiling proudly, although Shiro mocked them pretending to hold up his hand.”

"No, good," Lotor said.

"Now for the exchange of consent, Lance repeat after me. I, Prince Lance Mcclain, "

"I, Prince Lance Mcclain,"

"Take you, Prince Snow White,"

"Take you, Prince Snow White,"

"To be my husband,"

"To be My husband,

"I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad,

"I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad,

"In sickness and in health,”

"In sickness and in health,

"To love you and to honour you all the days of my life."

"To love you and to honour you all the days of my life."

"Now Snow, it's your turn to repeat. I Prince Snow White,"

"I, Prince Snow White,"

"Take you, Prince Lance Mcclain,"

"Take you, Prince Lance Mcclain,"

"To be my husband,"

"To be My husband,

"I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad,

"I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad,

"In sickness and in health,”

"In sickness and in health,”

"To love you and to honour you all the days of my life."

"To love you and to honour you all the days of my life."

"Charming and Snow, have you come here to enter into Marriage without coercion, freely and wholeheartedly?"

"I have." They both said.

"Are you prepared, as you follow the path of Marriage, to love and honour each other for as long as you both shall live?"

"I am." The two said.

"Prince Lance 'Charming' Mcclain and Prince Snow 'Keith' White, do you take each other to be your lawfully wedded husband."

"I do." The two say finally.

"Time for the rings."

Marco presented the rings on a pillow.

Lance smiled wide and took his ring and placed it on Keith’s finger and repeated after Lotor.

"With this ring I, Prince Charming, take you, Snow White, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us."

Keith took his finger and placed it on Lance's finger.

"With this ring I, Prince Snow, take you, Prince Lance, to be no other than yourself. Loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years, and in all that life may bring us." Keith finished trying not to tear up.

"By the power vested in me thanks to my honorary vicar's license granted by Prince Ivory-I now declare you two, husbands, you may kiss your partner."

"Shall we?"  Lance smirked.

"We shall."

The two kissed and the guests cheered.

"Let's feast!" Shiro cheered. They all sat down for food and mead. A party in the middle of a war? Some might say they were crazy but there is no time like the present. They were having fun for the first time in forever and they weren’t going to let the queen or anyone ruin it. Or so they thought…

Unfortunately, Keith knew all too well that when you have fun, something always goes wrong.

A wolf raced into the camp, he was bleeding. Keith raced over to him just as the wolf transformed into his human form.

"Coran, what happened?" Keith asked.

"Lance's father, his army has found us." He panted.

“We have to move camp,” Coran begged.

“No!” Lance snapped. “We said we were going to take the kingdom’s back and we can’t do that with our tails between our legs…No offence Coran.”

“None taken my lord, but matters have worsened, the King has a new general.”

“Who is he?”

“He goes by Leviathan, they say he attacks like a monster striking from the depths of the sea, you never see him coming, you never survive.”

“We’ll see about that,” Lance growled.

“How close are his army?” Keith asked. His day had to be ruined by the war. As soon as he asked he regretted his words, an arrow flew down and hit the table they were gathered around.

“I’d say pretty close.”

Armed men flooded the camp,

“How did they find us with my charm on?” Pidge questioned.

“I don’t know but we better get our gear on,” Allura answered.

“No time we just have to use our powers and our weapons,” Shiro advised.

“We should split up and divide them,” said Keith.

“Good Idea, let's go.”

They all charged taking out one man each, as the rest of the camp defended their home. Lance pulled Keith to the side.

“Go.” He told him. Keith shook his head.

“Aren’t you coming?”

“He’s after me. You have a better chance of escaping on your own.”

Fear gripped Keith's heart. He had just gotten married to charming and now they were splitting up. Picking up on his sad expression, Lance said:

“Don’t worry, meet me at the cabin I will come after the battle.”

“The cabin? Where your mother-”

“My mother's cabin she used to use it all the time, take my siblings there, you will all be safe.”

“Will it still be safe? You haven’t been there in years?”

“No one knows about it not even my father, it was ours and my mothers; Lucia will be able to show you the way,”

“Ok.” Keith nodded and the two shared a kiss before Keith disappeared into the forest. He saw Lance's sibling hiding behind some trees.

“Follow me, I will get us somewhere safe.” He picked up Marco and grabbed the other two by the hand.

“Let's go.” Keith led them up the Forrest when a figure appeared out of the bushes, causing them to jump.

“I don’t think you will be going anywhere.” He snarled. Keith assumed this might be Leviathan.

He handed Marco to Lucia.

“Run as fast as you can I will find you, head towards your mother's cabin.” He whispered to her. She nodded as a tear rolled down her cheek and ran with her brothers.

“Alright, lets-” Leviathan punched Keith, knocking the wind out of him. He fell to the floor, gasping for air.

“I take it…you're...the one they call… Leviathan.” Keith gasped in between breaths.

“Leviathan, is that what they are calling me? My name is Curtis and I will be taking you now.” Curtis smiled and bagged Keith’s head with a black hood.

*

Devastation hung heavy in the air. The camp was now free of King George’s Men, but huts were burned, members of the resistance were injured and now they were picking up what's left. Lance looked around, he saw other members of Voltron helping up the wounded. He himself had been using his water manipulation powers to put out the fires. Shiro sat on a stump tears rolling down his cheeks. Adam didn’t make it to this battle, he was killed by a flaming arrow.  Lance made his way over to Shiro and sat next to him. Adams' lifeless body lay next to him, Lance could imagine the pain he was feeling. Shiro leaned his head on his shoulder and fully broke down, Lance had never seen him so distraught. Lance would be too if he had lost Snow.

“We will get justice for Adam, I promise you that,” Lance said softly.

“I don’t want justice, I want revenge ,” Shiro vowed. Drying his eyes he stood up.

“I will bury him and then we must move out. They know where our camp is we can’t stay here.” He said sternly. Lance knew he was just trying to distract himself.

“We can go to my mother's cabin, Snow is there with my siblings, we should be safe there for the time being,” Lance suggested.

“We ride at dawn.”

*

Light flooded back into Keith's eyes as the hood was lifted.  King George stood before him, he was in his castle. They must have been travelling most of the night as dawn began to crack.

“You can do what you like to me, I will never tell you where they are!”

“I know, that's not the reason why you are here,” George smirked.

“Times have been good for you haven’t they, I can see light in your eyes, cherish that because that light can die and be replaced by something else - Pain .” He continues bitterly.

“The only thing you know of pain is how to inflict it,” Keith snapped.

“That is where you are so very, very wrong. I have had my share of pain, I had a wife that I loved, die before her time. I tried to be a good replacement for her with my children, with your charming. I offered him the world but he still rejected me, humiliated me in front of my kingdom  all because of true love.”

“You clearly know nothing of fatherly love.”

“I know enough, I loved my son once, he was supposed to be my successor! Charming was that hope for me, but all he has done is turned my other children against me and made my suffering worse.”

“You did this to yourself, George.”

“I lost my family, it's time you lost yours.”

“Over my dead body,”

“Oh, it hasn’t come to that yet, if I kill you my son will definitely come after me and it will make me killing him not so sweet.  Death is too good for him, I want him to feel pain, my pain.”

“What are you talking about?”

“The truth is Snow White, I had Curtis bring you to me so my children could make it to the cabin,”

Keith's heart dropped, he wouldn’t.

“Lance wanted to take away my family, so I will take away his. “

“Your own flesh and blood?! They are just kids!”

“They are not my flesh and blood, that whore of a wife of mine had three bastards with my brother and now Lance will suffer at the hands of his own husband who left his defenceless siblings to be slaughtered.”

“You monster.” Keith spat. How could he? He hoped Lance was heading there now.

“Release him after the deed is done.” He advised Curtis.

Curtis led him out of the throne room and down to the courtyard and out of the castle walls. Keith frowned.

“What are you-?” Keith trailed off when Curtis untied him.

“Shut up I am here to help, let's get to the cabin before George’s men do.”

“Why should I trust you after what you have done.”

“After what George has done.” He corrected.

“You think I am that naive, you really think I would trust you?”

“I think I am the only chance you have right now to save your man's siblings.”

“Charming should be at the cabin.”

“And so will a bunch of his father's best men.”

“If you double-cross me, I will kill you.”

“Duely noted, now come on let's steal some horses,” Curtis advised and the two snuck into the castle stables.

**

Lance and Shiro made it to the cabin but it looked untouched. Fear gripped Lance's chest. He hoped his father didn’t find them.

“Keith! Marco! Lucia! James!” Lance called as they dismounted their horses. Someone had to be about. Just as he was about to lose hope he heard footsteps.

“Lance!” A scared voice trembled. Lucia came running towards him with James and Marco at her side.

“Where Snow?”

“He got stopped by one of fathers men, he told us to come here and wait for him but we haven’t seen him all night.” She explained.

“That's not like Keith,” Shiro said. “Would your father take him?”

“My father would do anything to hurt him, if he has hurt Snow I swear to god I will-” Lance cut himself off when he heard a rustle.

“Did you hear that?” He asked Shiro.

“I did.”

“Lucia take your brothers inside the cabin.”

She nodded and grabbed their hands. Lance and Shiro looked around waiting for signs of movement, they stood back to back holding a front. King George's men, slowly gathered around the two forming a circle.

“What is that all you got, ugly looks and sharp swords?” He taunted.

The guard with a crossbow attempted to fire but the two jumped and it hit another guard. The two rolled back up to a stance and began to fight any guard in their way. Lance drew his sword and swung at the man opposite him, he dodged his swing, so Lance waved his hand and manipulated the water from in the ground, he forced it into the guard's face and into his mouth, and he dropped to his knees as he suffocated on the murky water. Lance turned to see Shiro battling with two men, one who he stabbed with his sword and the other he had by the throat, his hand glowed purple and the guard's head exploded.

A man grabbed Lance from behind but Lance was quick and flipped him over. Lance grabbed the now floored guard by the head and twisted, only dropping his head when he heard the guard's neck snap. Shiro finished the last few off with some energy balls from his purple hand.

The two panted, looking at each other in victory.

“Lance,” James gasped. Lance's heart broke upon seeing his little brother with an arrow in his chest.

“I just wanted to help.” He smiled before he started to fall. Lance ran over to catch him as he fell, he gently laid him on the floor. Lucia and Marco ran out.

“James I told you to stay ins-” Lucia began before she caught sight of him.

“No!” She bawled.

“James?” Marco teared up.

“Stay with me buddy,” Lance said shakily.

“I’m scared,” James said weakly.

“I know, me too, it's going to be alright.”

“It's all my fault.” Lucia cried.

“Don’t you dare blame yourself for your father's doing?”

“Lance!” A voice called. Snow, he was alive and ok.

“I’m sorry, I am so sorry.” Snow sobbed, kneeling next to Lance.

“Your father captured me, I tried to get here as fast as I could.”

“What is he doing with you?” Shiro snarled at the man who bore his father's symbol.

“He’s on our side,” Keith advised. “He helped me escape, Lance your father sent these men to kill your siblings.”

“I’m sorry I let you down,” James shivered.

“You never let me down, not ever.” Lance sniffled.

“I did, I know why father wanted to kill me,” James admitted. He reached down to his pocket and pulled out a small conch shell.

“I told father about the cabin, he said he wanted to get our family back together,” He sobbed. Lance's heart broke. His father deserved to pay for this.

“Our father is a cruel man, this is not your fault James,” Lance reassured.

“I love you guys,” James coughed.

“We love you too,”

“You were always more of a father than dad was.”

“James I-”

“Thank-” James gasped for more air, but Lance had feared that that was his last breath. Lance cradled James’ unmoving body as he cried into his blood-stained shirt. His father was a dead man walking

*

After they buried James' body, they sat inside the cabin in silence. Lucia and Marco were asleep tired after having the worst night of their lives.

“Lance I am so sorry.” Snow spoke softly.

“It's not your fault.” Lance snarled. “There is only one son of a bitch to blame and he is going to pay.”

“Lance think about this.” Snow reasoned.

“I have.” He snapped. There was only one outcome.

“The rest of the camp should be here soon, we will get your father, you can’t go now while you're angry, your family needs you.”

“Yeah well, my father took away one of my siblings, it's time I repaid him the favour,” Lance growled and grabbed his sword.

“Lance you’re not thinking clearly.” Keith tried to stop him.

“Yes I am,” Lance spat and stormed out of the cabin, only to be greeted by the other paladins.

“We brought a little backup.” Pidge grinned as Matt, Shay and the Galra boys stepped out from the woods, followed by the armies of each respected Kingdom.

“If you wanted to take out your father all you had to do was ask.” Hunk smiled.

Lance beamed at him.

“Time to take him out.” He smirked.

Their armies attacked the walls of George’s castle, the paladins on the front. The six of them wore their armour, fighting with all of their might. They pushed King George's men back into the castle which didn’t stay closed for too long, Shiro used his hand to burn the door down.

“Take it from here, we have got the rest of them,” Keith advised. Lance nodded.

Leaving the armies behind, Lance climbed the castle stairs, revenge on his mind. How dare his father take away James’ life, how dare he take away Adams. The audacity he had to send men into their camp and ruin the home of many survivors of the evil queen was unforgivable. His father's reign of tyranny ended tonight and so will his life.

Lance burst into the throne room fully expecting his father to be there, but upon first glance wasn’t. Turning to leave, he stopped in his tracks upon hearing gentle footsteps. Lance turned slowly to face his father. George stood broad, pointing a crossbow straight at Lance.

“I wouldn’t take another step if I was you.” He warned.

“You pose no threat. Have you not seen the amour in which I am wearing?” Lance scoffed.

His father wavered upon looking closely at his armour.

“You? A paladin of Voltron, you are a descendant of the gods?” George asked, fear in his tone.

“The sad thing is I think it comes from your side of the family.”

“You have come prepared then.”

“Have you? Are you prepared to die? Because I am. I will do what it takes to end this business with you and the queen.”

“The queen and I are none of your concern, this is between you and me .”

“She is my concern because not only has she destroyed the life of my husband but she had a part to play in mine.” He barked.

“Husband? You married him!”

“I did father, and we are going to do it again once we get our kingdoms back.”

“What makes you think you are getting out of here alive?”

“Look outside father, we won.” Lance challenged.

George slowly backed up to the window, he should be seeing his surrendering guards on their knees and those who didn’t surrender, dead.

“Castle secured Charming.” Snow informed entering the room.

“You may have won this battle but you won’t win the war with the queen.”

“We have Voltron,”

“A luxury you won't be able to enjoy.” George quipped.

George suddenly aimed his crossbow at Snow and fired.

“No!” Lance screamed. The arrow was soon destroyed by Snow’s fire. Lance breathed out relieved. He charged at his father before he could reload the next arrow, tackling him to the ground making him lose grip of the weapon. Lance lashed out but George kicked him off.

“This ends now.” George snapped, scrambling to grab the crossbow.

“I agree.” Lance huffed and clenched his fist. George suddenly stopped in place, struggling to breathe. Lance had stopped the blood from flowing in his veins.

“Not only do I get to dress like a god, but I also have powers like one.” Lance sneered. George's face was turning red, his blue veins prominent on his scarred face. Lance pulled back his fist back towards him swiftly, pulling the blood out with him. George's body collapsed and Lance let go of the blood. It landed with a satisfying squelch.

“Lance, you can control blood in the?” Said Snow looking remotely scared.

“I guess so.” Lance panted. He couldn’t believe he had just done that. He had some scary powers.

Lance collapsed onto his knees. He just killed his father in the most gruesome way.  He was so going to hell.  He allowed Snow to pull him into a hug hoping it would help with the numbness he felt. It didn’t.

“Despite the gross death, it had to be done - you have saved thousands of lives by doing this and avenged your brother.”

“Somehow killing him made it feel like he got off easy.” Lance sighed.

“He deserved to pay for his crimes, now he won’t kill anyone ever again.”

“At least the Kingdom is ours, we just need to take out one more person to finally end this madness. And I have a plan just for that.” Lance smiled.

“Advise our Army to standby your kingdom, we are going to throw the queen off guard.” He smirked.

The queen was standing on the hill watching the smoke rise from the nearest kingdom. She knew too well that, that was George's way. The sound of a horse galloping her way, only confirmed her theory.

“My Queen we’ve received word, that Snow White and Prince Charming have defeated King George, his Amry has fallen and the kingdom is theirs.” The Guard informed her. He seemed to be one of the ones she had sent to monitor King George. Curtis she thinks his name was.

“And what of George?” She demanded.

“His fate is unknown, but I doubt it will stay that way. Without his forces we are now alone, we cannot defeat them.”

“Do not tell me what we can and can’t do!” She screeched.

“Where is Snow White now?”

“Alone on her way back to meet the Prince.” He enlightened her.

“Excellent - I don’t care how many men you lose, keep them apart long enough for me to find her.” She commanded. The guard nodded and rode off. The queen mounted her own horse.

“I will not let them defeat me.” She scowled and rode off to fine dear little Snow White.

After Curtis’ signal Keith pretended to run for his life, the queen was now after him and he wasn’t going to let her catch him.

“Leaving the battle so soon?” She taunted as she gained on him. Startled Keith was distracted and tripped on a rock. Honerva pulled to a stop as Keith stood back up.

“The battle is over Honerva, our army is too great, You can’t win,” He said proudly.

“That all depends on your definition of victory.”

“I offer you parly, to negotiate the terms of your surrender,” Keith compromised. He was offering her a fair way out.

“My surrender?” She scoffed.

“Fair enough, my terms are quite simple… your death ,” Honerva smirked and walked towards Keith.

Keith had a little trick up his sleeve.

“Now!”

Vines began to slowly wrap around Honerva’s legs, Pidge grinned as she tightened her hold. Allura came forward and threw her rope, securely wrapping it around the evil queen's arms and body.

“This was a trap! ” She said angrily.

“You should have surrendered when I gave you the chance,” Keith shrugged. Lance stepped from behind the tree.

“We knew you couldn’t resist going after Snow,” He revealed.

“And now because of your bloodlust, the kingdom is ours, your reign of evil is over.” He jeered.

“What!” Barked Honerva.

“While you went after us, Matt and the rest of our army took out your army, my father's castle belongs to me,” said Keith with a pleased tone.

“How dare you!” Honerva growled in anger. She was blind with anger. Haggar’s eyes turned red and a purple force blew them all back. She rose into the air, creating lightning from her hands.

“I’m taking my kingdom back.”

“Over our dead bodies!” Shiro yelled charging out from the trees.

That can be arranged.” She threatened.

Keith threw flames her way but she diverted them over to Katie. She had only just been able to protect herself. Allura manipulated the air, attempting to force the queen back down to the ground, Haggar wasn’t an easy target to bring down, she was resisting Allura’s pull. Katie sent up vines to grab her but Haggar dodged them easily. Hunk hurled huge rocks at her; one of them hit her and she staggered. Now she was distracted, Shiro teleported onto her back and placed his glowing hand on her face. The witch howled in pain throwing Shiro off of her in a state of panic. Her face was badly burnt.

“Need some water for that burn.” Lance quipped and pull a large amount of water from the nearby lake. The water crashed into Haggar sending her flying to the ground.

“Now I am all wet.”  She chocked.

“I guess I underestimated you. But you shouldn’t think you have won.” She warned. Haggar suddenly began to grow.

“Ugh guys, maybe we might need to go all Voltron.” Hunk trembled.

“All right, all together now.” Shiro began.

“Voltron!” They all yelled.

“Why didn’t that work?” Allura asked.

“Because we all didn’t say it,” Keith said and looked to Pidge who was trying not to be crushed by Haggar's now giant foot.

“Katie!” Keith shouted. He ran over to her and drew his flaming sword. He stabbed it up into Haggar's foot allowing Katie to run from under it. Keith looked to the others.

“Say it!!” He roared.

“Voltron!” They howled just before Keith was about to be crushed. All of them suddenly started to rise into the air, their minds, bodies and souls starting to become one. In a matter of seconds, the paladins were gonna and a thirty-foot God appeared in their place.

“Voltron?” Haggard gasped.

“Last chance Honerva, do you want to surrender?” Voltron asked.

“What was it you said? ‘Over my dead body’ How fitting.”

“So be it, ”  Voltron said as they drew a sword made of the elements. Haggar conjured her own weapon. Voltron stuck first but Haggar parried. Back and forth their swords clanked as they fought for dominance. She pushed Voltron and they staggered back, no time to recover as she waved her hand forcing the god into the earth. She tried to keep the God grounded but Voltron was too powerful.

They teleported from under her force and appeared behind her. Slow to react Haggar fell pray to the God's conjured whirlwind. Trapped inside a wind cocoon, Haggar fought to get out as it rose her into the air. Voltron threw bolts of lightning into the winds to stop her from escaping. The god then stuck out its hands and released fire and water into the mixture. Holding her in place, the God opened up the ground and forced the witch into it causing a catastrophic shockwave. Haggar lay on the ground defeated; picking up their sword Voltron held it high and dug it into the chest of the dazed witch. Haggar screamed in pain as she began to shrink.

“Your reign is over,” Voltron said before it dispersed into six smaller humans. Haggar’s body lay lifeless in the crater made from her previously larger self.

“We did it, we stopped the witch.” Allura beamed.

“We finally have our Lives and Kingdoms back!” Hunk cheered.

Keith was overjoyed at the victory of the war. He just wished Haggar was different, maybe she didn’t have to die if she was willing to change.

“Keith, Snow , let's go home.” Lance smiled.

It took a while before things felt like they were back to normal. It was months of rebuilding and fixing the Kingdoms. They had also built memorials for those who were lost during the war.

Shiro denounced the throne allowing for Keith to be the next King of their land. Lance and Keith finally got ‘ officially’ married in front of neighbouring Kingdoms as they announce their vows and their plans to join both Kingdoms together. The paladins all live at the castle of the conjoined Kingdom, so they will be together if any future danger strikes.

Shiro became the general for their army, Curtis was his second and the two became awfully close. Hunk and Shay got married with rumours they will be expecting their first child, Hunk spends his days cooking for his wife. Katie and Matt are now the town's healers, they help the kingdom with all of their injuries. Allura and Lotor got married also, Lotor and his brothers are still in the army while Allura turned to agriculture. Nyma and Rolo live on the outskirts of the castle the two are also expecting. Coron knows Allura is safe so he roams the realm at night always on the outlook.

Breathing in the bliss from the castle balcony, Charming smiled.

“Thinking about much?” Keith asked as he wrapped his arms around Lance’s waist.

“I am so glad you robbed my carriage.”

“I am so glad you had a carriage to rob.” Keith chuckled.

“I’m just glad we got our Kingdoms back, Lucia and Marco can now grow up in a loving home.”

“Speaking of Lucia and Marco, they found something in the woods yesterday.”

“God if it's another hare, tell them to put it back.”

Suddenly a wolf appeared in front of Lance's eyes. Lance jumped at the sudden magical animal. The wolf was blue, he had never seen a blue wolf before. It wagged its tail and looked happily at Lance.

Cosmo  is not a hare.” Keith grinned.”

“Cosmo?! You have already named it?”

“He's so cute, how can we not, Can we keep him?”

“How about no?”

“How about I own one-half of this Kingdom so we are keeping him.” Keith challenge.

“How about, fine .” Lance sighed. “I’ll allow it but you owe me.”

“I think we can agree on a payment,” He smirked.

Lance smiled, “Maybe we can.” He said and pulled Keith into an embrace.
