Chapter Text

Organs chimed through the halls as people gathered in their seats. Nervous and excited chatter filled the giant church as the groom stood at the altar, anxiously waiting for his person to be wed. The music from the organs gave the wedding event quite the regal feeling to the church, beautiful, crystal-clear chandeliers hung from the tan ceiling adorned with tapestry. A man with a green head of hair and green beard to match, and stood straight and proper at the altar while they waited along for the doors to open. It was quite the expensive wedding, but a beautiful one at that.

Khalid looked to the entrance of the wedding hall, wondering when Byleth would come in. It seemed like she was a bit late… maybe he should have texted her before the ceremony started to see if everything was alright. But then, one of the doors opened, and right on cue, Byleth rushed in, practically running to her seat. She finally sat down next to her partner, trying her best to cover her ragged breathing from disturbing the other people in the seats around them. “I’m getting a little Deja-vu here,” Khalid chuckled lowly, wrapping his arm around the woman’s waist and planting a kiss on her left temple. “Looks like you made it just in time though!”

Byleth huffed, shaking her head. “No, it wasn’t me this time, I swear. I never knew that bride-zillas were real until I saw Felix. Or groom-zillas. Ugh,” She rubbed her temples to try and soothe her growing headache.

“Awe, it couldn’t’ve been that bad, right?” He chuckled. Then again, Sylvain was still waiting up at the altar with clammy hands, and Felix wasn’t even at the door.

Byleth stared up at him through a side-eye, shaking her head in frustration. “You do not understand.” She groaned, holding her face in her hands while Khalid pressed soothing circles into her back. “He was going on. For twenty minutes. About his hair. His hair. The hair that he wears the same way every single day. He said he wanted something that would compliment the suit, but he said his regular bun wasn’t enough. So we spent twenty minutes looking up styles that could fit him. And then he kept asking us if his suit fit him right, if the bouquet he had looked right in his hands, kept asking where the rings were even though they’re out here and not in the dressing room…”

“Sounds like he’s just extra anxious. You know Felix doesn’t care that much about his appearance.” He chuckled, squeezing Byleth’s hip. “I’m sure he looks great. I mean, you of all people were helping.” Byleth gave a soft eyeroll when Khalid kissed her cheek, but their little flirtatious game ended when the bridal music started playing. The pastor, Seteth, quickly stood up from his leisurely pose against the altar. Sylvain straightened his back, his hands suddenly feeling even clammier.

“Fucking finally,” Byleth heard Hilda whisper from behind her.

“Hilda, shush. I think you’d probably be worse than Felix in that regard!” Lorenz whispered harshly, making the woman flip her bubblegum pink hair.

“I think I’d have everything in order by then. The only reason I’d be late is because of you!” She harshly whispered back, and Byleth heard a thump, looking back to see Hilda kick Lorenz with a mischievous smile.

“Holy shit,” Khalid turned around, propping his elbow behind the seat so that he could see the two. “Can you guys save the bickering for at least an hour? Can we get through Sylvain and Felix’s day without threatening each other like kids? Are you six or twenty-six?” Lorenz and Hilda both looked at the brunette, then rolled their eyes in a scarily synchronized manner.

“We’re not that loud, are we??” Hilda questioned, and Byleth almost wanted to sigh. Even if the pastor couldn’t hear them, they could, and so could the people around them. But for some reason, Lorenz and Hilda could not seem to fathom that.

Khalid seemed to realize that and came up with an offer pretty quickly. “Look, Hilda, I’ll give you fifty if you stay quiet.”

Hilda’s ears perked up at that. “Done!” She grinned, making a gesture as if she was zipping her lips. Lorenz looked at Khalid in disbelief.

“Did… did you just bribe her? And fifty dollars, just like that?? Where’s my offer???” He scoffed, making both Byleth and Khalid chuckle.

“Lorenz, one, you’re a gentleman, so you should be able to do good things without reward. Two, you’re a fashion designer; fifty is like pocket change in your wallet. Three, if I get one to shut up then you won’t have anyone to argue with.” Lorenz opened his mouth to argue, but Khalid quickly put his finger to his lips. “Abapbapbap! The doors are opening, shut up…!” He whispered, and Lorenz exhaled in defeat.

It wasn’t long before Felix appeared, stepping into the doorway. His hair had been pulled up into a half-ponytail, his long navy hair cascading a bit past his shoulders. A braid on each side was done and pulled back behind his ears, almost as if it were used to pull up the ponytail. He wore a white suit with a black tie that had a gold chain that wrapped around the width of it. The tailcoat was long… almost as long as a bride’s dress, but it hung to his ankles instead. Shiny black shoes ended the gorgeous outfit, and with each step those shiny black shoes got closer and closer, and with each step each guy got sweatier and sweatier.

Despite how rough the beginning was, the wedding ended up being a good service. Seteth said quite a few inspiring words, the entirety of the house got to see Sylvain sing to Felix, and watching them exchange rings was probably the most intimate moment; probably more so than the actual kiss itself.

It made Byleth want to speed up their wedding so badly. She wouldn’t of course, but damn if seeing her friends succeed wasn’t tempting.

.

.

.

“I mean, I could totally understand that,” Hilda said, her mouthful of chicken muffling her words as she spoke. They were all in the reception room, where plenty of drinks and food were being served. That, and a giant, giant dance floor. “But think about it,” she stated in between bites. “Sylvain is rich as fuck. Once the brewery was passed onto him, he got a helluva lot of money ‘cause he opened up trade partners.” Byleth had heard the story. His father was apparently a biased asshole and only traded and sold to people in the region they were born in, but when Sylvain got placed as the head, he opened up trading and merchandise with all the regions in their country. Apparently, he was working on getting other countries to open up trade with them as well.

“Well,” Dorothea twirled her hair, looking to the side. “I could completely understand where she’s coming from. The wedding hall was so beautiful. And this reception room… I have to squint to see the end of the dance floor! And they had room for tables!”

The woman beside her, Petra, her girlfriend, rested her chin on her hand as she smiled. “Then, if we are to have a marriage, we will have these things?” Dorothea’s face flushed and she nervously laughed, but Hilda interrupted.

“No, she’s got a point, Ms. Opera! You’re probably rich enough too, right? You probably could afford all this!” Hilda pointed, making Dorothea hold her hands up in surrender.

“I mean, I could, but then we’d be completely broke with no place to be married at! Sylvain can spend this type of money an then it’s what, like a trip to the movie’s worth! He still has plenty in his pocket!” Dorothea exclaimed, holding out her hands.

“You know what?” Hilda smirked. “Let’s make Sylvain pay for all of our weddings. Im sure he could do that, right?” She giggled.

“Yes, eat the rich.” Dorothea laughed along with Hilda while Petra and Byleth gave each other a silent look, as if they were mentally sighing.

“Uh-oh, are you guys arguing about rich people again?” Khalid chuckled as he walked over, setting a plate of food down for him and Byleth. “Aren’t you guys gold-diggers? Can’t exactly eat the rich if that’s what your goal is,” he chuckled, but puffed out air when Byleth elbowed him. “Oh, of course, not you sweetheart,” he smiled, “I know you aren’t because you married me, a mere peasant~” He gingerly kissed her lips, making Hilda roll her eyes.

“Oh don’t give us that talk, Mr. I’m-Actually-Really-Really-High-Status-And-Got-Grandpa’s-Money-When-He-Died-And-Actually-My-Name-Isn’t-Real-And-Nothing-Is-Real.” Hilda glared daggers at Khalid, the daggers almost as sharp as the day she learned that Claude wasn’t his real name.

Khalid gave something between a grimace and a smile. “Aw, come on bestie! Don’t tell me you’re still mad at me for that! It’s already been three years!” Three years where he came back and decided to change his life with his fiancé. Three years ago where he decided to trust people with himself again; all of himself. He remembered how mad every single person was, especially Hilda. The both of them knew that she wasn’t exactly angry about it anymore, but she would still give him shit about it every now and then. Not only that, it took everyone quite a while to switch names. But he wanted everyone, not just Byleth, to use that name, because that was him, and having his friends call him that was a way of accepting that it was the truth. Which it was.

The male brunette pressed his fork into a cut of meat, shrugging innocently. “I mean, I didn’t take the money. Judith has it.” And that was also the truth. Judith had all of the money that Khalid had inherited. He gave it to her because he didn’t want to use it. It was one hell of an argument for sure, given the fact that it was his since he was written in the will, but once he explained that he wanted to build himself up from scratch, and leave behind the things that made him feel insecure and untrustworthy, Judith had agreed.

“Whatever,” Hilda said, “I guess it can’t be too much of a loss if you’re already successful.” Khalid simply shrugged as he ate, trying to finish his food with Byleth. He could not understand how Hilda could enjoy this night with so much money talk. “Wait, why didn’t you give the money to me?! I could’ve used it! Do you know how hard it was to get my magazine labels done?!”

All of a sudden, the music started to pick up, and so did Khalid’s ears. Perfect timing. “Well, my love?” He asked, holding Byleth’s hand by her fingers and already standing up. “Care to dance?” Byleth looked at her plate and saw she had a quarter of it left. But before she could answer, she was pulled up anyway. “Ohhh thank goodness! Alright Hilda seeyoulaterbyeee!” Khalid gave a mock-salute as he dragged Byleth onto the floor.

“Wow, so generous,” she said, sass clear in her tone. Khalid sweat-dropped, kissing her hand again.

“Thank you for saving me, darling~” He cooed, pulling her further onto the dance floor.

“Are we not going to get more food?” Byleth asked, and Khalid could only laugh. She had come a long way as far as reading people better, social skills, and more, but every now and then she sure showed where her heart truly lie.

Khalid dramatically feigned a hand over his own heart, doing the act he usually does to get Byleth to play along with him. It was his version of ‘the puppy dog eyes.’ “You would chose food over me, I see…” he gasped, turning in dejection.

“Oh my god, you are such a child.” Byleth said, but her smile betrayed her words. “Fine. I’ll dance with you. But there better be more food left for us to grab after this.”

“Of course, my lady!” Khalid grinned, stepping out. He lead the dance, stepping out, then in, then out again, and Byleth followed. One step followed another, and then a hop, and then three hops to the back, four steps to the front, two spins, and it went on and on. It was one of the few dances that Khalid had taught Byleth, after he came back. The therapist that they talked to – that they still talk to every now and then for guidance – suggested one of the things that Byleth learn is a couple of the dance routines from Khalid’s country. The brunette man hadn’t bothered to teach her because he didn’t think she was interested. But then again, she was the daughter of a legendary boxer. Of course she was quick on her feet, and of course she could keep up with him, and of course she liked it because of course she liked doing things with her lover. Anything.

The song’s end almost came too quickly, and both Khalid and Byleth were on the dance floor, breathing heavy and smiling together. His hand held the small of her back while his other intertwined with her fingers, and they were a moment away from sealing off their little ritual with a kiss before they were interrupted by a familiar voice. “Hey, hey hey!” The couple looked over to Sylvain and Felix walking over, a sly grin on the redhead’s face. “You guys have too much charisma on the dance floor! You’re taking away my bride’s spotlight,” Sylvain chuckled.

“I’m not your fucking bride,” Felix growled, but kept his fingers locked with the other’s anyway. “Ugh, forget him,” Felix rolled his eyes, “Thank you guys for coming out. It… was a lot, I know, but you guys truly are the best.”

“Yeah,” Sylvain grinned, “We wanted to make sure we thanked everybody for coming personally, I mean, shit, I know we’re friends, but…” He rubbed the back of his neck, clearly thankful that his life somehow turned out great despite the risky things he did in all the way up until graduate school.

Byleth smiled, laughing a bit. “You do know we all came to the little dorm parties you guys had, right? Why would we miss this?”

              “Good point,” Khalid commented.

“Agh, alright, you win,” Sylvain laughed. “Well~” He sang, holding Felix by the waist, “We just wanted to swing by for a quick hello, cause we still have a bunch of people to thank, but when we’re done, hang out with us! Especially you Khalid,” he pointed, already walking away, “Byleth’s been visiting just fine but it’s been like 3 months since we’ve properly hung out!” Khalid laughed as he shrugged helplessly, watching the two leave.

“Come on,” he rolled his eyes, “Sylvain knew I had a serious case going on.”

“I don’t blame him,” Byleth teased, “You also stayed locked up in your office for a lot nights. Even I missed you, and I’m living in the same house as you,” she laughed. But a part of it was true. Khalid often worked outside of work, especially if he took on cases involving murder or financial scams. He’d spend hours getting together evidence, files, manilla folders, or whatever else lawyers had to do in their expertise. And if he was at the beginning of an investigation, she could forget about seeing him at the house at all for at least a couple days. She was a school teacher, so the only time she worked outside of work was when she had to make the monthly syllabus for whatever her students were learning. And she knew that they had different jobs of course, but that didn’t stop her from missing him whenever he left of needed to work overtime. Which was ironic, given that they finally bought a house the previous year so that they could be together more often.

Khalid squinted his eyes, trying to read Byleth’s face. “Uh oh,” he raised a brow, “You’re doing the sad laugh thing,” he pouted.

“It’s nothing!” Byleth waved her hand. She already knew it couldn’t be helped, so there was no reason to get too upset about it. Khalid could tell that she was caught up in that thought, so he decided he would pull her aside for a bit. He looked around for an open spot on the floor, and realized that not only was it crowded, but it was loud as hell too.

“Hey, come walk with me!” Khalid said over the music, and held her hand while they walked out of the ball room and went outside. They walked for a few minutes until they reached the back, where there was a beautiful garden outside with a fountain, greenery shrubs everywhere, and flowers that wrapped around the benches.

“Wow,” Byleth looked around, “This is a beautiful area; I’m surprised that no one is out here.”

“Sylvain said that he wanted to do pictures out here, but then they thought the lights and pillars were nicer inside, so that why we all ended up taking pictures and eating there.” Khalid walked over to the fountain that glowed blue and purple under the water. “Plus, this little area is quite a walk from the main ballroom where everyone parked, so it’s a little inconvenient. When Sylvain and Felix said that they were getting married at a church, I don’t think anyone thought the place would be damn near a college campus’ size,” he chuckled.

“I suppose,” she giggled with him, “it’s a shame. This little area is so nice,” she smiled. Khalid took her by the hand and sat them both down at the fountain, the light reflecting beautifully off Byleth’s hair.

“Well, I think it’s pretty convenient,” he said, rubbing circles onto the back of Byleth’s hand, “because I can talk to you in private like this. So, that being said, what’s on your mind?”

Byleth huffed, looking towards the water. If there was one thing that was the same about this man, it was the fact that whenever he knew something was up, he just had to hear it as quickly as he could. And he didn’t even realize that he was starting to pry. Could it not wait? She didn’t want to ruin the night with her own personal feelings. But when she looked at Khalid, he looked so genuine… and the slightest bit worried too. Probably because Byleth was vocal and would have told him by now.

She sighed and gave in, turning more towards the other. “It’s nothing big, really. It’s stuff that we’ve talked about before.”

              “Which was?”

“Mm…” She thought about where to start, “This night was amazing. I loved seeing Felix and Sylvain get married. I mean, I’m pretty sure we all knew they would stay together forever, but… I don’t know, there’s something about seeing them so happy… you can tell that this is going to be one of the best days of their lives. And probably the most memorable. And… I guess I’m just really eager to do that with you. But-”

Khalid chuckled softly, holding up Byleth’s left hand. “And this,” He kissed her left ring finger, “is why I gave this to you.” His expression turned a bit more strained and the grip he had on her hand tightened with concern. “I know… it probably difficult when it’s been two years. I just…” he kissed her hand, thinking about his decisions in the past few years. When he came back, they were on a rocky start, but therapy had helped immensely. He had ended up proposing to her a year later, and it was one of the best nights he’d ever had. But, there were times when his firm was smaller, and there were some months where he didn’t get any clients at all. Advertising was difficult, and cost more money. Byleth was still a teacher assistant at that time, so her pay was also pretty low. And so paying apartment bills were expensive, which was why they saved up enough money to buy a house together, and it the end, it ended up being cheaper. But not even a few months in, he figured they trusted birth control a bit too much because Byleth had a pregnancy scare. It turned out she wasn’t, it was just stress from the amount of work she was taking on and moving at the same time, but it was something that stuck with Khalid. It wasn’t like he didn’t want a baby… no, he wanted to have a child with her. He wanted to have children with her. He wanted a family so badly, an actual, functional family, but at that time, they weren’t as financially stable as they should have been, and that ended up being one of the more worrying parts of his life. And even though they were okay now, he wondered how they were going to have a wedding, a baby, two time consuming jobs, and-

“You just?” Byleth ripped him out of his thoughts as quickly as they came.

Khalid blinked, looking at her. “Oh, uh, well, if I told you what I was thinking, you’d probably think I was crazy. I know I’m probably overthinking things I guess…” He sighed, scratching the back of his head. “I just want to be as ready as possible when we marry.” His heart skipped at the thought, and he told himself internally to calm his nerves. “I want to make sure that we’re as comfortable as possible, that way, there won’t be any worries about our wedding. I don’t know. Trying to plan ahead. But it’s stumping me a bit. But…” Khalid exhaled, staring into the other’s eyes. “I’m just as serious as I was back then when I proposed to you. I just need a little more time.”

Byleth’s eyebrows creased, let her eyes drop in a dead stare at Khalid. “Are you going to let me talk, or are you going to continue down all of these possible paths like Dr. Strange?”

Khalid opened his mouth to talk, but realized that he had probably been rambling. Again. “My lady,” he cooed, holding out his hand to give Byleth her turn.

“One, thank you for caring so much about me. It’s really sweet. But,” she held up a finger to the other, stopping Khalid’s thoughts. “Again, as I said, I’m just really eager, that’s all. I’m not angry, or impatient, or anything like that. Sure, yes, I would love for us to marry. But like you said, we both need to be comfortable. I’m proud that you’ve gotten so successful in your career and all, and I’m proud that we’ve settled down in our home, and I’m proud that we’re all watching each other grow. But you also have to look out for yourself, you know.” She smiled as she held Khalid’s cheek, giving a small peck to his lips. “I know you’re telling the truth, silly. I can wait.” She kissed him again, and this time, he placed his hand on the small of her back so that they could linger there a little bit longer.

“Since when have you been able to calm me down like that?” He smiled into another kiss, his other hand reaching to hold the back of her neck.

Byleth snorted, kissing him back and wrapping her arms around the tops of his shoulders. “I just used your tactics. You don’t remember? Hilda’s brother’s house~ Leonie~ balcony~”

Khalid chuckled, kissing her again. “Ohhh, I see. I don’t know, I just brought you up there. You still stole my thunder with your little gift.” He grinned. Even after all this time, he still had the pin she gave him. And he was really, really glad he didn’t throw it out with the rest of the things he tossed. Regretfully, the clasp couldn’t be fixed, but he did what any other person would do, and installed it onto the briefcase he usually took to work. At least, he viewed it as normal. Hilda gave him shit about having a faded metal animal on his very nice leather briefcase, but who cares? It was charming. Just like her.

“Please,” she giggled between kisses, “It was just a silly birthday gift. The gold started to flake off too.”

And so humble, Khalid thought. So cute. “But it’s my favorite animal. And it came from my favorite woman,” he kissed her again, this time for a bit longer. “And she gave it to me knowing that she’d trade it for my heart~” he cooed, chuckling into her mouth.

“Mmf, I was just, ffm, being myself,” she gasped when Khalid made the kiss deeper, rolling his own tongue around hers and pressing his fingers into her hip. He let out a low hum as he brought both hands up to her face, holding it there in order to allow himself to be as greedy as he wanted. “A-are youmf, mm, hah, r-really getting horny now? Out here? Kh-ahh~” He pushed her hair back and sucked on her neck, leaving a wet, red mark behind.

“Mm,” He hummed, lightly kissing her neck all over, “I don’t know, maybe I have a praise kink? Or is it a love kink? Or maybe I’m just excited about this beautiful person that cares about me so much,” he smiled a devious smile, and stood up, pulling the woman’s hands with him. “You think they’ll notice if we’ve been gone for long?”

Byleth blushed, giving Khalid an incredulous look. “But we’re outside...!” She glanced over to the path that they took, but it wasn’t long before Khalid’s lips were assaulting the other’s neck again.

“Eh, past here is forest,” He said, moving up to kiss her cheek, “And over there is where we came from. It’s a long path to the building and even then, we’d have to hear the metal doors open, right?” Byleth furrowed her brows at the other, and Khalid sweat-dropped. “Alright, alright. Not the best idea. We can wait until we get home,” he shrugged, adjusting his pants as best as he could. And even though Byleth had been dating this man for a couple of years, seeing his bulge in his pants – what she did to him – was still surprising. And still a bit… arousing. And not to mention, seeing him trying to be on his best behavior for her despite the way he felt…

“U-um, well,” Byleth stood up with him, “We can save the full thing until later tonight, but… I could… help you fix your pants.”

Khalid raised his brows at the woman. “You’ll suck me off? Really?”

“Don’t be so blunt about it!” Byleth’s face flushed as she sent a slap towards a laughing Khalid’s arm. He knew good and well that unless Byleth was really in the mood, she still struggled with being blunt about those things. It didn’t stop him from messing with her about it though. “Do you want me to or not?”

“Of course, my love~” He cooed with pink dusted onto his face, already walking over to the spot he could see was the safest. It was on the wall perpendicular to the doors, and a good bit of green shrubbery would be shielding them. The only blind spot would be if someone were to walk from the doors to the forest, and Khalid knew that everyone was drinking inside anyway. He turned around and with a small surprise to see that Byleth was already to his face, and not a second later she was kissing him again.

She peppered the soft pecks down his jaw and tilted her head, nibbling at the spot right above Khalid’s adam apple; one of the spots she knew drove him crazy. His breathing stuttered and he bit his bottom lip, leaning his upper back against the wall. “F-fuck, mgh, you know,” he breathed, a lustful smile stretching across his face, as Byleth went lower, “you can be such a little temptress,” he shuddered when Byleth’s knees hit the ground.

She pulled the zipper of his pants down, caressing the tent in his pants with the palm of her hand. “I’m the temptress?” She wouldn’t have even wanted to at that moment had Khalid not started to kiss her like that and get riled up himself… “It sounds like the pot’s calling the kettle black.” Before the man could reply, she pulled down the rim of his underwear, freeing the aching member hidden behind the thin fabric. Khalid sucked in a breath of anticipation as she kissed his throbbing cock, his hand already finding its way through the strands of hair.

Byleth’s comment was definitely a topic for debate, but she may as well have won anyway, because whatever words he had died in his throat once Byleth’s warm tongue touched his shaft. The brunette hissed, tightening his grip as he tried to control himself. She dragged her tongue up from the base all the way to the tip and used one hand to cup his sack while the other wrapped fingers around the area her mouth just left. She wrapped her lips around Khalid’s already leaking tip and held back a smile when she saw his strained expression.

He still wasn’t sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing that Byleth knew exactly where to push the envelope with him. She knew exactly what made him tick these days, and she knew exactly what made him even hotter. Which is why her eyes never left his, not even when she began to move her mouth down.

“Ghk- oh, yeah, that’s it,” his chest heaved up and down in excitement as he watched his fiancé stretch her mouth around his cock, taking in more until she finally hit her fingers. She bobbed her head forward and back, finally closing her eyes to concentrate. Petite digits made up for what she couldn’t fit in her mouth by squeezing and stroking, and her other hand gently massaged the tightening sack below her chin. Khalid’s eyes glazed over while he watched the lewd sight, and some sadistic part of him loved the fact that Byleth’s lipstick was already messed up, even though it hadn’t gotten even close to messy yet.

Byleth sucked and stroked a bit harder, proudly humming once she felt Khalid’s leg tremble just slightly. Each time she pulled her head back, she circled her tongue onto his glans, enjoying the sharp breaths from above that rewarded her. She glanced up at him, and already he had become undone. Half-lidded emerald eyes looked down at her with so much desire that she could barely see the green in them anymore. She slowly pulled up, her lips leaving the tip of his dick with a ‘pop.’ She kept stroking with her hand though, looking at the brunette once again.

Khalid was somewhat thankful, because fighting the urge to fuck her mouth was becoming less and less doable. “Why a-are… hhh… you so good – mmgh… at this…” he breathed, watching the woman stroke his cock while she lapped up the slick that threatened to shoot out.

“I had an amazing teacher,” she hummed, taking him into her mouth again. Khalid’s grip on Byleth’s hair tightened, and a low growl unintentionally escaped his throat.

“Fuck you’re s-such, oh fuck baby,” he moaned, rolling his eyes back as Byleth slurped around his aching member, “mnh, hah, such uhhh good l-learnerrhh…” his jaw slacked when she swirled her tongue around the tip, and then the crown, and around the tip again. His hips bucked just a bit, but not enough to make Byleth gag. He should have been at least a little shameful about not being able to talk dirty like he usually did, but hell, Byleth didn’t judge and even found it rewarding to make Khalid lose himself like that.

And then, he really did. As soon as he saw Byleth let go of his balls in favor of pulling up the rim of her dress to touch herself, his mind snapped. “L-Let me fuck you,” he rasped in between breaths, pulling Byleth’s head back with her hair because dammit, he was close and he’s completely forgotten about the party right now. His eye twitched in anticipation when he pulled the woman back, aroused at the sight. Her nicely curled hair had become messy by his hands, her eyes had tears that threatened to fall down her cheeks, and her lips were so beautifully slick and red that Khalid figured she didn’t need to worry about any lipstick anyway.

Byleth looked up at him and admired her work, knowing full well she caused every bit of his impatience. The way his chest covered half his face each time he took a breath, how big the beads of sweat on his forehead were getting… the fact that his little stud earrings shone brighter than his eyes. She trembled as her fingers slipped underneath the band of her underwear, circling and massaging the throbbing heat. A small, victorious smile formed on her face, clear intentions on her mind. “I-I thought, nnh, it was j-just a quickie?”

“The party still has a few hours left,” he breathed, licking his lips like an animal. “It’ll be quick in c-comparison.”

“You c-can’t cum inside me though,” she pressed her thighs together, her fingers starting to feel really good. “It’ll be too messy-”

“I have a hankercheif,” he said, his voice growing more impatient as he listened to the other. He knew she was just doing this to tease him. She was saying this as she touched herself.

“Oh, y-you’re so – ahhh – proactive, mm?” She huffed out, licking the tip of his aching cock once more. “Fine, I-” she made a noise out of surprise as Khalid bent down and hooked his arms underneath her shoulder and her butt, picking her up and pressing her against the wall. She wanted to comment about trying not to mess up her dress, but she was too stimulated and too excited to care at the moment. The brunette exhaled hot breaths against her ear as he used one hand to push the seat of her panties to the side, replacing it with his thick length and pushing in. He groaned as he felt the other tremble, a wave of satisfaction hitting him like a truck. Byleth would have told him to wait until she at least removed her underwear so that it wouldn’t get dirty, but all logical thoughts left her mind once Khalid slid inside.

Khalid’s eyes rolled back and closed as he thrusted inside her, burrowing his face in her neck while he supported her thighs. “That’s right, t-that’s right baby girl,” he slurred, voice shaking with each powerful thrust, “take my cock. Take it, take it take it,” he moaned, stringing along a litany of profanities with it. Hot, wet slapping sounds matched their voices, and in the back of his mind, he knew they weren’t even trying to be discreet anymore, but as he stated before, Byleth was a goddamn temptress.

“Kh-Khalid, uff, ahn,” she moaned out, her fingernails pulling up his coat and messing up his hair. “P-please,” she whined, “h-harder…!” And just like that, Khalid obliged, making the woman throw her head back in ecstasy. Her words slurred together in a jumbled mess as she tried to say something about watching their clothes, but it was lost as Khalid attacked her chest, kissing and licking the cleavage that bounced with each of his powerful thrusts.

Khalid growled as he pumped his hips, relishing his body in Byleth warm, wet heat. He adjusted them, propping her up more so that her could go deeper. Byleth curled her toes, her eyes shooting open as the brunette began hitting her favorite spot. Her moans grew loud and shameless, making Khalid smile into her chest and stay in that exact position. “Y-you like that baby?” He asked in a lofty way, as if he weren’t right on the edge with her. “You g-gonna cum? Hm? You- god, By, uhn,” His teasing was cut short as the woman tightened around him, fleshy slick walls reminding him of exactly where he was.

Even so, Byleth nodded, the tears that pricked her eyes finally falling down her face. “Ngh, I-I…” she let her tongue droop with half-lidded eyes, barely able to form anything coherent. “A-ah, yes, Khalid, p-please,” she cried out. He was going to lose his mind. It’s been three years and he still loved the way she mewled his name. He still loved the way she held him. He still loved her.

“God, I love you,” he breathed, quickly moving his head to her face and kissing her. “I-I love you sso f-fucking much,” he groaned, eyebrows creasing together from overstimulation.

“L-Love you…” She managed to get out between his onslaught of kisses, and It only took a few more thrusts until she finally came, her body tensing up and toes curling with her. Khalid’s legs trembled as he followed close behind, unable to hold back anymore as Byleth’s walls milked him thoroughly. He jerked his hips a few more times, letting the both of them ride their orgasms out.

They stayed there for a moment, with Byleth’s back still against the wall and Khalid’s arms still hooked underneath her thighs. Heavy breaths and the occasional sigh were exchanged between them, clearly spent from their hard work. Khalid finally looked up at her, placing a deep, yet tender kiss on her lips while he pulled out. “Oh, that’s pretty nasty,” he chuckled dryly, trying not to grimace as he heard the fluids plop on the ground.

“What? It’s yours after all,” she giggled while he put her down.

“I think it’s sexier when it’s on the bed and not the dirt,” he grinned, pulling out the handkerchief in his coat pocket and handing it to Byleth. “Plus, takes two to tango. It’s your mess too.”

“Yeah, I can feel it,” she softly glared at the other. While the handkerchief gesture was nice before, it didn’t really matter since her panties were slicked up and messy anyway. She pulled them down, and Khalid swallowed thickly at the line of fluid that only broke once it was at her knees.

“Oh. Ah. Well.” He awkwardly laughed, only a little relieved when Byleth still took the handkerchief. After a couple more minutes of cleaning up and banter, they were kind of ready to go back.

“I say we only stay for an extra hour or so,” Byleth said, blushing at the fact that she had to go back in without underwear. Khalid nodded, holding his arm down to conceal the lump that held the handkerchief and her panties.

“You need my coat so you can sit down somewhere?”

“No, that’ll just make it look suspicious,” she flushed as they walked back. “Why would I be wearing your coat?”

“You know, just wear it on your lap when you sit. Nobody will question that, will they?” He slid his hand around her waist, shrugging. “Plus, if anyone does ask, just make something up. Or lie about it.”

“We have a no lying policy.”

“I know, but that’s more of a secret, right?” He waggled his eyebrows, kissing her cute little cheek. Byleth rolled her eyes, figuring that she wouldn’t win the argument.

“Alright, alright, I’ll take the jacket. But we’re leaving at one.”

“Yes ma’am~” He grinned. He knew it would be a while until they married, but they had a pretty damn good relationship, and were able to keep each other in check. And while they still had their few squabbles, they worked through it, and solved them quickly enough. The only other person in his life that could say ‘I love you’ to him was probably Judith, and it was something he respected and loved so damn much. He loved her so damn much.

When they got to the main ballroom, Felix happened to catch their eyes first. “Hey, where the hell have you guys been? We thought you left!” He asked with raised eyebrows, watching the couple step over to them.

“Ah, well,” Byleth hesitated, but thankfully, Khalid covered her before she could remind herself of what just happened.

“We were scouting out the cathedral,” the brunette answered with a smile. “The garden area in the back is nice. Really, really nice,” he laughed, making Byleth roll her eyes.

Felix grinned, crossing his arms. “Oh? I see that me and Sylvain are rubbing off on you guys, huh? Yeah, the garden area is hella nice, especially the fountain. It just sucks that it’s so far from here as far as walking goes. Sylvain old me about the garden, but that idiot didn’t bother to tell me that we’d have to change around the whole…” And just like that, they naturally fell into conversation.

Byleth had to give it to him; Khalid’s answers were sharp and quick. Her lips curled into something so loving, so tender, as she watched her fiancé speak. She couldn’t wait to grow older with this man. And she couldn’t help but think about how good he was to her, even throughout these years. Her smile grew bigger as she thought to herself,

I’ll keep making sure he knows, until we’re married, until we make our family, until we grow old, and until death do us part. Even years later, she was making sure to make the most out of her second chance, even if it was subconscious.

Because she knew to savor it this time, just like a fine wine.

Notes:

THEY DID IT! TH-THEY DID THE THING! THE THINGS THEY DO WITH THE TITLE THEY DID THE THING!!

Alright! That's the end of this one, whew! To those of you who made it to the end, two years later, sincerely, thank you so much. This is a story that's probably fallen behind and been left in the dust (and rightfully so LOL) but if you made it to here, shit, thank you. I wish I had more to thank with. Technically, I do, since there are more stories, but I'm not sure if that counts LOL.

Speaking of which, I do have one more Claudeleth story in the works. However, it's going to be a while. Like, a *while* before I post it. I have a Sylvix story that's going to come before it, as well as a few oneshots, and a story from another fandom (Genshin fanreaders stand up)! So if you're here for Claudeleth, I hope you enjoy the oneshots, but there will be no more story for now. If you enjoy Sylvix (and enjoyed Best Friends), then you will most definitely enjoy this next one coming up because I consider it *much* better than the previous one.

Thank you guys again for your patience, and thank you for reading!
