Chapter Text
Izumi's POV
"I still can't believe you accidentally destroyed a castle for that!" I lightly chastise Katsuki as I laughed, finding his story completely funny!
"It's not my fault the castle wasn't sturdy enough! The extras that made it must have been stupid!" The blonde pomeranian barked out, mouth red from all the spicy noodles he was eating.
"You should be grateful that the castle was owned by one of the Demon King's army's leaders. It may have been abandoned, but if it was still under the ownership of some noble, rising Heroes or not, the Kingdom of Belzerg would have searched for you." Iida added, and I nod at that. If the abandoned castle was previously owned by a noble, abandoned or not, the Kingdom would have sent someone to pay for the damage. Thankfully, it was owned by Dullahan, a leader in the Demon King's army and was on the Demon King's land.
Another surprising thing I found out due to Iida's love for rules and laws, that the Kingdom of Belzerg, the country where we were in, was overlapping with the Demon King's borders, and due to this many of the other countries behind Blezerg send their adventurers here, except for one country that contributes through money.
"Che! I'd blasted them away!" Katsuki barked out again, and if it wasn't for the T.V., Iida would have reprimanded him for that.
{"Is everyone ready for the second week of the Sports Festival!?!"} Bayanihan, the Filipino Pro Hero, asked, voice absolutely loud and excited.
And, with matching energy, or maybe even more, Present Mic-sensei added a, {"YYYYYEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"}

As I sat on the stadium's roof, overlooking the people below, I watched with Hawk Eye how a group of "Hero's" scrambled around in search for me. With the day of the tournament now being tomorrow, many had grown scared of class 1-A's might. Everyone had already finished their events, all of them being at first place or at second place if someone from the class entered the same event. And, with every single one of my classmates being victorious in their events, many had grown irrationally afraid of the last student of 1-A who was to represent U.A.'s first years in the tournament.
Although 1-A was popular with the people, our year mates and our staff, we were infamous outside of those. It was to the point that the competitors had gone as far as gang up on a 1-A student in their event! There some close calls, but magic has really been a massive advantage to our class! Though, now, with the tournament finally starting tomorrow, some, I presume, competitors are looking for me, their intentions clear.
As I watched my "hunters" fumble and try to look for me, I felt a presence appear behind me. My innate danger sense had not gone off, but it did not stop me from preparing to bring out a weapon just in case.
"What are you doing here? This isn't a place for young women like you!" The voice was feminine, a bit gruff, but also somewhat familiar.
Tilting my head back, I took some time to process their features, before realizing that this was Star and Stripe! Despite her being an American Pro Hero, I knew of her, because how could I not? She's America's number 1 Pro Hero! I, however, didn't show my surprise and simply smiled at the woman.
"Just getting away from attention." I say as I gesture at the "Heroes" below me. Curious, Start and Stripe went to look below us and saw the people chasing me now cursing each other, and stupidly enough, they were shouting out their plan. And despite being so far down, their voices just got louder and louder that we were able to hear it here. And, since we were able to hear their shouting from where we were, others were as well and was, promptly, apprehended by some other Pro Heroes.
Normally, nobody would shout their plans like that out in public, where other Pro Heroes were, but this was clearly an effect of one the quirks used to ensure the safety of the people here. Throughout the week, a total of 12,982 villains were caught, a small percentage of it being corrupt heroes, according to Aizawa-sensei, and a total of 210 contestants have been kicked out, and thanks to this, there was no incident that had occured due to the measures taken.
"Are you one of the contestants, then? It seems some people are getting bolder and bolder, trying to take out the competition." The blond, All Might wannabe(?), asked, voice somewhat worried.
Leaning back to stare at the sky, I answered. "Yep. I'm from 1-A and I'm gonna be on the tournament tomorrow." This was more than enough as an explanation of my current predicament, and Star and Stripe understood that.
"Heh. 1-A, huh. You guys have been dominating the Sports Festival, so I can see why many would want take you out." And this wasn't the first time someone had gone after me. In truth, these are the sixth group of people I hid from this past two days! And as for why I don't deal with them myself, since a lot of people are looking for reasons to kick out a 1-A from an event, especially in the tournament, I can't really give them a reason to do so.
"So, what's your class's secret?" Star and Stripe asked, not really serious or probing, just as a joke.
Giving her a look, I then answered her. "Magic." It was a serious answer, but my grin turned shark-like when Star and Stripe just laughed.
Then, my feeling to impress and flex appeared again, prompting me to continue. "Every single one of my classmates, under my care and their own strength and determination...gained magic." And, as I said that, the tip of all kinds of weapons appeared around me, popping out of the roof while I formed a sphere of fire above my palm. Surprised, but knowing I meant no harm, Star and Stripe stepped over the protruding weapons and got closer to the swirling ball of flames.
Curious with my flames, she said, "Magic, huh." It was obvious she wasn't believing me, and I didn't particularly care about that. Extinguishing the ball of flames and putting away the circle of weapons, I looked at the person that just appeared.
"Oh! Star and Stripe! I didn't expect to see you here! I was looking for you earlier so we could watch the events, but I couldn't find you!" Toshinori-sensei greeted, in his normal form. It seems that he trusts Star and Stripe well enough that he'd show this secret of his. Of course, Star and Stripe noticed this and panicked, seeing as I was here.
Deciding to help the poor woman out, I greeted my sensei. "Oy! All Might-sensei, what are you doing here!" Me greeting Toshinori-sensei as All Might greatly surprised the only other woman up here, causing her to freeze for a moment, before looking at me and then at Toshinori-sensei.
Then, one moment she was beside me, the next Star and Stripe was sliding beside Toshinori-sensei, whispering a question into his ear. Toshinori-sensei laughed, before casually revealing, "Ahahaha! No need to worry, young Star and Stripe! She is the apprentice I had wanted to introduce to you too!" To this, Star and Stripe gave a hum in acknowledgement, and she was now seeing me in a new light.
Standing up, I asked. "So, why're you up here, All Might-sensei?"
"Ah. Initially, I was looking for you to, you know, inspire you, since I am your mentor and all that. But, I realized the moment I would start doing that you would slap me silly. You know, despite being able to inspire your classmates so much, you can't handle being on the receiving end of it." No, All Might, I can take an inspirational speech well enough, just not from you. The discrepancy from your All Might persona and your actual self is just too funny!
"Anyway, I just wanted to say "Good luck!", for tomorrow, since I won't get the chance to so tomorrow. And, after asking some of your classmates, I went here!" Honestly, Toshinori-sensei is really kind-hearted, going out of his way just to do that.
Stil, as much as I appreciate the gesture... "All Might-sensei...you're saying this to the wrong person." My statement surprised Toshinori-sensei, even Star and Stripe. Walking pass them, I eyed the current event, Extreme Basketball, and said, "It's the others you should be wishing good luck on. Not me. Because I won't go easy on them."
"I'm 1-A's class representative, the one who leads my class, and they all trust me. Trust me to win. And I won't let them down. To do that....I will stop holding back." Green lightning started to surround me as I began to float, surprising Toshinori-sensei immensely. "I will prove my class that I am worthy of their trust. I will prove to everyone that I am the strongest. I will prove everyone who didn't believe in me that I'm not a mistake. And most of all, I'll prove to the world that I am here."
I stare at Toshinori-sensei's eyes, seeing the awe and tears behind them. "And I will prove to you, that you made the right choice in choosing me."

3rd Person's POV
{"GOOOOODDDD MMMMOOOOORRRNNNIIIINNNGGG EEEVVEEERRYYYBBOOODDDYYY!!!!!!!!!"} Present Mic loudly greeted, causing the stadium to erupt with roars in turn.
{"ARE YOU READY!!???"} Bayanihan, the Filipino Pro Hero, asked, prompting another roar round of roars to fill the stadium.
{"YOU SHOULD BE!!! THIS IS THE DAY WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!"}
{"You better have a spare set of undies people, 'cause this will be the most heart-stopping, suspenseful, and exciting day of your LLLIIIIVVEEESSSS!!!!!"}
{"Today, we have a total of 390 participants from all over the world! From every direction, north, south, east and west!!! However, out of all these participants, only a hundred will make it through the second round!!!"}
{"Now, please, participants, ENTER!!!!!"}
With Present Mic saying so, from every entrance, the participants from all over the world started filing into the arena. Cheers were given, and most of the participants tried gaining their attention through their quirks. Among those who didn't show off was Midoriya Izumi, who was currently hiding herself by wearing a Battlemage set she found in Elden Ring. Of course, she received some attention, but no one knew she was Midoriya Izumi from class 1-A. She was always one for shock and awe, so Izumi had wanted to don a mysterious persona before finally revealing herself. Also, this was to reduce some of the participants targeting her specifically. She may be strong, but she rather would not want to deal with her competition all gunning for her.
{"Now with the participants all in the arena, we'll explain the first round!!!"} As Bayanihan said that, the arena floor changed from plain old dirt to hexagon tiles that started to rise a higher and higher, bringing the participants with it. And, under it were other floating hexagon tiles forming a floor, all of which were of different colors and there were a total of four of them.
{"This match is called Hex-A-Gon, inspired from a pre-quirk era game called Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout!"} Bayanihan explained first, eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Continuing after Bayanihan, Present Mic explained some more. {"Players will begin the round floating just above spaced hexagonal platforms. Then listeners, after a three second countdown, all players will be dropped onto their platform. When a platform is touched, it will sink slowly, and then turn a white hue and will soon after disappear. Below several larger and larger hexagon layers, there is a game-ending pink slime. When a player touches the slime, they are disqualified yo!!! Not only that, but we have some Pro Heroes who are going to be shooting at ye!!! And don't think of hiding it! If you manage to get yourself back up but still touch the slime, the bracelets given to you will alert us! Once again, only 100 participants can go through to the next round!!!"}
{"The rules of this round is: You can use every advantage you can as long as it isn't fatal or cheating, and you all should already know what are considered as cheating, right?! You can use your quirk to fly, hide, attack, and defend! Just remember that to not do anything fatal against your fellow participants!"} Added Bayanihan, and afterwards, the participants began to float due to someone's quirk. Then, above everyone, a countdown screen facing down appeared.
[3]
The crowd counted along, excited and getting impatient.
[2]
The participants looked around, assessing the competition.
[1]
Various quirks ranging from elemental quirks to physical ones were prepared, all ready to be used.
[Go!]
It was chaos. Just as the floating feeling left them, multiple participants had already gone to either attack others or defend themselves. Some with quirks that allowed them to fly stayed in place, either attacking or defending themselves. Some with quirks for long-range had attacked those farthest from them, while those who had quirks for close ranges attacked those closest to them. And as people started to fall on the tiles, there were already those who were knocked out and was promptly taken out of the arena.
As for Midoriya Izumi, she was staying above all by sitting on top a Spirit Jellyfish and remained hidden due to Stealth Skills. She didn't just stay like this, of course, and was occasionally shooting varying spells here and there.
{"SHEESH!!! THEY'VE BARELY REACHED THE SECOND LAYER, AND YET NEARLY HALF OF THEM WERE KNOCKED OUT!!!!"} Present Mic commented, and just as he said that, a screen appeared above the stadium showing the number of the disqualified participants and the number of those that were still in the round.
{"No one wants to lose, of course. Everyone's really going all out."}
Despite the start quickly eliminating multiple people, the second half had started to slow down, with the stronger, smarter, and luckier participants now having a hard time dealing with each other, unlike earlier where they can surprise their competition. As for Izumi, she was the only one still flying, the other participants with a quirk that allowed them to fly were either shot down or had flown down. However, as other participants had started to reach the final layer, someone had shot at Izumi. She, however, was able to block it. It, in turn however, had canceled her stealth skills.
{"Oh!? What's this!!!? A participant has avoided the Pros for this long!!?? CCOOOOLLLL!!!!"} It was Present Mic who was first to notice the mysterious participant, announcing her presence to all.
{"That's surprising! Still, with them being the only one flying so high, their definitely a target now!"} As Bayanihan had mentioned, the mysterious participant was now targeted by all of the Pros. From every direction, varying kinds of attacks came, intent to shoot down the floating participant. They, however, intercepted by blue shards raining down from above the mysterious participant. And, it didn't just act to defend the participant, but the shards that hit the tiles had caused them to slowly disappear, causing some participants to fall into the slime below them.
{"OOH~!!?? WHAT"S THIS!? The floating robes participant didn't just defend themselves, but had also forced some of the participants below her to lose the round!! Was this intentional??!!"} Bayanihan commented, and the remaining participants in the round neared the 100 mark!
Of course, even if the initial attack had failed, the Pros didn't stop at that and continued to attack the floating participant. But, like with earlier, their attacks were intercepted by a rain of shards, and before long, the first round had concluded, with the floating participant still remaining in place.
Timeskip
As the second round was being prepared, the students of 1-A, sans Izumi, were all in their dorm's living room, watching the replay of the first round through a gigantic T.V. made by Momo.
"That's definitely Izumi."
"Yep."
"That's her alright."
Various students agreed with Momo's assessment. They were talking about the mysterious participant that had taken everyone's attention. Izumi had made mention that she had wanted to surprise everyone, and seeing that their class rep was not mentioned at all during the match, they, of course, realized that she was keeping her identity a secret. Of course, there were others that had also opted to hide their identities, but they were sure that Izumi was the one with the Jellyfish. What tipped them off was the use of magic, naturally. There were multiple quirks that could replicate magic, but quirks and magic are still different, and those who could use it can easily discern the differences.
"Who wants to make a bet?" Denki asked, a wad of cash clutched tightly in his hand. Tenya went to dissuade them, but he was taken down by the clambering 1-A students wanting to join in.
Timeskip
{"Welcome, everyone, the SECOND ROUND!!!!"} It was surprising how no one was sent to the hospital with how deafening the cheers had become.
{"As many have watched earlier, multiple staff and Pros had made a city! I'm sure you're curious about it, so I will say it now!!! This mock-city will hold our second round, which is a FREE-FOR-ALL!!!!"} Cue the cheers.
{"Usually, the match was supposed to be a team-based round, but we decided to spice things up this year! Everyone against everyone else! Exciting, isn't it?!"} *Cheers sound effect*
{"Of course, despite this being a free for all, we won't hold it against you if you form a team!"} I just don't know how to get around this anymore.
{"The same rules apply from the first round. No cheating, and nothing fatal. You will be disqualified when you are knocked out, or if you declare that you surrender. The bracelet will promptly take you out of the arena. And, among the 100 participants, only 16 will move into the next round!"} There's cheers after every announcement.
{"Now, the participants are all in the lobby, but once the countdown finishes, they will be randomly teleported around the arena! So, count with us! Three!"}
The same screen once again appears above the stadium, starting the countdown.
[3]
The remaining 100 participants watched in anticipation, varying emotions and expressions on their faces.
[2]
Izumi leaned against a wall, searching for a fun way to announce her presence.
[1]
Once Izumi found a spell she was looking for, she smirked devilishly, and the participants near her shivered due to reasons unknown to them.
[Go!]
In an instant, the lobby filled with 100 people was emptied, and they were all now scattered all around the arena. There were participants in the streets, in the buildings, on top of a roof. They were everywhere, and hundreds of floating screens showed all their movements and actions.
Some participants had opted to attack the first person they find, some had hidden themselves, some had gone to make temporary alliances. However, one person was ignoring all this. Izumi was sitting atop the building she was teleported to, putting all her mana into one spell. Then, above everyone, a dark cloud encompassing the arena appeared, causing some heads to be raised in surprise and caution. And, before any of them knew it, stars begun raining down upon the arena. The participants inside the buildings were safe, and those on the streets that could protect themselves were able to hold out the downpour of stars, but many had became a victim of the spell.
{"EEEEHHHHH!!!???? WHAT'S THIS?!"} Bayanihan asked, completely surprised by the sudden elimination of multiple participants done by one attack.
{"CCCOOOOOOLLLLL!!!"} Present Mic, for his part, was just amazed with the beautiful rain of stars.
Izumi, after eliminating a good amount of participants, she began searching for other participants using the Lone Wolves to aid her in her search.
{"Oh!? Isn't that the participant with the jellyfish?"} Bayanihan asked, making an invisible camera focus on her so that they could get a closer look.
{"Just what is their quirk!!!??? It's so CCOOOOOLLL!!?"} The blonde commentator asked, but was given no answer as they were not able to see who it was. They could search through the participant list and find them through the bracelets they wore, but since the person was clearly hiding themselves, they are obligated to not reveal who they were.
{"They summoned a rain of shards, and another one, this time a rain of stars that encompassed the arena! They even had a giant jellyfish, and now wolves!!! Just what kind of quirk is this!!!??"}
With the attention now on Izumi's mysterious persona, the woman was currently trying her best to quickly find other participants so that she could end all of this and finally enter the final round. With the help of the Lone Wolf spirits, Izumi was able to find multiple participants, who she quickly dispatched off. There was a participants that was able to turn herself into a three foot monster that resembled a chimera from the myths, there was a participant who was able to shoot laser from his fingertips, there was a participant that was able to control the earth, there was a participant that was able to turn their limbs into a blade, but despite these differences, they all had one thing in common. They were all defeated by Izumi.
And as Izumi continued to defeat her opponents, as the amount of participants were lessening, more and more people were focusing on her, cheering on her and wanting her to win.
Then, she faced an opponent with a quirk that let them control gravity itself, then she was ambushed by a group of five, and then she faced a participant that had a transformation quirk, one that turned them into a treat. However, like with earlier, she defeated them all with wits, strength, and spells. With all of this, she had become the crowd favorite and all attention was on her. However, when she found a participant with periwinkle hair and a monocle, everyone was surprised that instead of defeating them, Izumi left them. She received a round of "boos" for that, but that didn't matter to her, especially when she swiftly defeated her next prey.
Five minutes later, it was announced that 16 participants now remained in the arena, thus concluding the second round, and everyone was eager to find out just who the mysterious participant was.
Timeskip
It was now the final round, and everyone was raring for it to start.
Present Mic stood up from his seat and began to loudly announce, {"THIS! IS! IT! THE FINAL EVENT OF THE TOURNAMENT!!"}
Bayanihan, despite being as excited and enthusiastic as Present Mic, had opted to sit down. {"THE ONE-ON-ONE!!! EVERYBODY HAS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS, YEAH?"}
Still standing up, but now performing some light acrobatics in his booth, Present Mic continued. {"I'M SURE NO ONE WAIT ANY LONGER, SO WE ALREADY HAD THE BRACKET DONE BEFORE YOU ALL CAME FROM YOUR BREAK!!!"}
Exchanging with Present Mic, Bayanihan hurried the the start of the final round. {"AND WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, THE BRACKET!!!"} Then, on multiple screens, the bracket of the tournament appeared.
[One-on-One]
[1st Match: Japan, U.A. Academy, Mirio Togata vs. Spain, L.L. Academy, Clodeva Mars]

Stepping on his chair, Present Mic declared, {"And there you have it folks! In a few minutes, we'll finALLY HAVE WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! CAN I GET A "YEAH"!!???"}
""YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!""
Timeskip
{"FIRST UP, THE ALTERNATE VERSION OF TIN-TIN, TOGATA MIRIO!!!"} Once called, Togata Mirio entered the arena, a large smile on his unique face being enlarged by the screens.
{"VERSUS, THE WOMAN WHO PUTS THE WORD "HELL" IN HELLFIRE, CLODEVA MARS!!!"} Following after the blonde was a woman that could be described as a "Demoness". Black hair with red highlights, dark ash skin, and red "cracks" all over body, made more sinister by her red, soul-stealing eyes, Clodeva Mars entered the arena.
{"On one side, we have an elusive third year that could easily escape your grasps,"}
{"And on the other side is a woman who will definitely one hell of a time with her fiery personality!"}
Cheers erupted, the names of the fighters being mixed with one another as one side supported their chosen hero student. Then, once again, a countdown screen appeared above, one that immediately started.
[3]
Both combatants got into a stance, with Mirio leaning forward and Clodevia spreading her arms.
[2]
Clodevia's arms were shrouded with flames.
[1]
Mirio's eyes kept on darting around, making out the trajectory he would follow through.
[0]
Once the countdown was finished, the part of the arena where Mirio stood on was engulfed in flames, greatly surprising the crowd. Thankfully, measures were made and attacks made inside the arena that reached the crowd was all blocked by barrier quirks.
As the left side of the arena was filled with roaring flames, it would be easy to assume that Mirio had lost, but many were shocked to see the blonde to suddenly pop behind Clodevia. The Hellfire Quirk user, of course, hadn't let her guard down earlier and had quickly shoot a stream of flames behind her, but Mirio seemingly ignored it as he continued to pass through the flames. Now this surpised Clodevia, causing Mirio to pass through her, then suddenly stopping himself from rolling forward and stabilizing himself before swinging his legs behind him and kicking Clodevia in the back of her head, knocking her out.
{"For our second match we have the man who controls your nightmares, James Horington,"} The American entered the arena with a gloomy look, neon green hair floating lazily innocently enough, but the shadow writhing behind him was anything but innocent.
{"Versus the man whose all sunshine and rainbow, Jericho De Guzman!"} As Bayanihan described, a man with a demeanor that can't be anything other than joyful entered, his smile somehow sparkling under the sunlight.
As the countdown ended, the shadow behind James came to life. It was all black, from its torso connected to the ground to its head that resembled tentacles, except for menacing purple eyes. It immediately went to attack its master's(?) opponent, but Jericho defended himself with a shiled constructed out of sunlight. You would expect that the light would defeat the shadow, but instead of that, it was like the shadow demon corrupted the shield, turning the lustrous yellow to void like black. Jericho, however, quickly reacted by jumping away while simultaneously creating a hammer behind James.
As the hammer was about to swing itself, it was stopped by a shadow hand coming from James's shadow. Seeing his attack fail, Jericho simply kept on smiling as multiple weapon constructs appeared above James, but all of it was broken by multiple shadow whips. Then, unexpectedly, a shadow hand gripped onto Jericho's feet, but it wasn't from James's, but from his own shadow. Jericho tried to break away, but the giant shadow demon had knocked him out of bounds with a strong punch.
{"In our third match, we have a ninja out in the open! We don't know their name, so we'll just call 'em Green!"} Said ninja suddenly just appeared on the arena, surprising most of the crowd.
{"And his opponent, a woman with an incredible appetite for monstrous pastry, Jasmine Maeve Malice!"} A woman with a sweet-looking demeanor entered, hair almost looking like a delicious croissant.
Once the countdown finished, a pillar of trees started appearing from the ground, going towards Jasmine. However, the towering trees were swiped away by large arms coming from a gigantic cupcake monster, where Jasmine stood on top of. Undeterred with his failed attack and his opponent's monster, the Green Ninja proceeded to create a Treant, one that was 10 meters tall and matching the cupcake monster's height.
What happened afterwards was a fight between monsters, but if you think about it, it was funnier, seeing a tree fight a cupcake. However, the winner was later on decided by Jasmine's cupcake monster suddenly blowing up, covering up the treant and the Green Ninja in icing that proceeded to harden itself.
{"Fourth match, we have another ninja, this time blue, so we'll call him Blue Ninja!"} Like with his schoolmate, the Blue Ninja just appeared on the arena.
{"And his opponent, a man that's like a secret love child of All Might and Present Mic, Inasa Yorashi!"} Despite the weird introduction, the brunette entered the arena with a booming laughter that was drowned out by the crowd's own.
{"Bro. That's just wrong."}
When the countdown reached 0, the Blue Ninja was quick to attack, suddenly appearing behind Inasa with his hand being covered with wind that mimicked a blade. Inasa, for his part, used his quirk to surround himself with a whirlwind, countering the wind blade. Silently, the Blue Ninja backflipped away, but he was quickly followed by Inasa, using his whirlwind to propel himself towards his opponent.
Despite the human bullet getting closer and closer, the Blue Ninja stood in place, ready to intercept. Inasa, however, wasn't dumb and had flew up, just in time for the Blue Ninja to suddenly shoot wind blades at every direction.
The fight between the two was long and taxing, but one had to eventually win, with the winner being Inasa, whose whirlwind's tail was able to grab the tired Blue Ninja's clothes, sucking him in and Inasa quickly using this chance to throw his opponent out of bounds.
{"For our fifth match, we have Cinderella's true love, Jeong Hangul!"} A man with glass-like hair and a body that slightly resembled said material entered the arena.
{"And his opponent, the man who announces his presence with his footsteps, Yo Shindo!"} A man with a friendly demeanor enters the arena, happily waving at the crowd.
The fight between them was simply heart-racing. Yo Shindo's quirk, Tremor, was the bane of Jeong Hangul's, which was Glass Construct. However, when Glass Knights and defenses weren't working, Jeong went for close combat with glass weapons and shooting glass shards at Yo. His opponent, though, was also quite skilled in CQC, and he was agile enough to dodge the glass shards shooting towards him.
The match, however, was in Yo's favor as his tremors not only destroyed most of Jeong's glass constructs, but it kept on ruining Jeong's footing and stance.
{"Our sixth match is here! On one side we have wolf in sheep's clothing, Emily Miles!"} A woman with a docile demeanor enters the watch, gently waving at the crowd.
{"And on the other side, we have a woman out of time, Sasha Whitaker!"} A woman with a steampunk-esque outfit enters the arena, her hero costume gaining a lot of attention.
When the countdown finished, Emily turned from cute and huggable, to ferocious and dangerous as she transformed into a large wolf that reached four meters. Sasha was surprised by this, seemingly frozen in place with fear, prompting Emily to swipe at her frozen opponent. However, her attack went through the woman, and said woman had suddenly appeared above Emily, swords resembling clock hands aimed straight at her head.
Noticing the sudden appearance of her opponent above her, Emily had gone to bite her, and this time it didn't go through her. Quickly, Emily tried to throw her out of bounds, but just as Sasha was to touch the ground outside of the arena, it was as if time had rewound and Sasha was back to where she was before she was thrown out of bound. Sadly, it seems what Sasha had done can't be done consecutively, as when Emily had reacted quickly and threw her out once again, she was able to rewind back to where she had been.
{"Ohohoho! For our seventh match, we have a surprise! No one has seen no hide nor hair of her the previous two rounds, but it turns out that she's been making big moves all this time! From the dreaded class 1-A, it's very own class representative, Midoriya Izumi!!!"} Cheers rang loud, excited to see the final student of class 1-A, Midoriya Izumi, who also turned out to be the mysterious participant the first two rounds! As she entered the arena, kitted out in her Hero costume, a large banner saying "Represent 1-A" appeared, which was held by Sato Rikido and Shoji Mezo.
{"For her opponent, we have someone who'll give Simba a run for his money, Leonine Porter!"} Then, from the other side of the arena, a hulking lion man appeared, causing another excited cheer to fill the stadium.
[3]
As the countdown started, Leonine got into a stance, spreading his arms.
[2]
Izumi just stood there, completely amused with her opponent.
[1]
Leonine roared as loud as possible, in hopes of intimidating his opponent.
[0]
.................
Izumi won. A second hadn't passed, and Izumi already won. Once the countdown ended, Izumi appeared right in front of Leonine, and despite being able to react quickly enough to defend himself, the strength behind Izumi's kick was too strong and had sent him out of bounds.
Everyone was shocked, as no one had won this fast fast against their opponent, but most of all, they were too confused with Izumi's quirk. However, cheers resumed when Iida Tenya of all people roared.
{"Well...here's our eighth match, coming in quicker than we thought! On the left side, we have Saiko Intelli whose brain power had carried her through everything!"} A woman with periwinkle hair and a monocle entered, exuding a graceful aura.
{"And on the right side, we have another ninja, this time yellow, the Yellow Ninja!"} And like the other two representatives of their school, the Yellow Ninja appeared on his side of the arena.
When the countdown finished, Yellow Ninja ran straight towards Saiko, their intentions clear. Saiko, for her part, simply waited, poised, eyes closed and noble-like. Then, as the Yellow Ninja got closer, two other Yellow Ninja appeared on each side, clones. This didn't deter Saiko, however, and she still remained in place.
Once the three ninjas reached Saiko, attacks all aimed at a different part of her body, only to be suddenly dodged splendidly and pushed out of bounds.
The win was a surprise to everyone, as even if it was quick, the way it ended was just stupid. You would imagine a ninja being able to realize such an easy trick, but it seems the frustration of having his fellow representatives of the same school had taken hold of him. And Saiko, whose quirk raises her intelligence by multiplying her IQ and turning her into a super-genius temporarily by drinking tea and closing her eyes, had all expected this and had been able to easily defeat her opponent by using their frustration and predicting how the Yellow Ninjas would attack.
