Chapter Text
It was deathly silent after the Jedi Temple was destroyed. The once grand monument of learning and peace lay with bodies strewn within, the spires standing upright as it became both the resting place of the Jedi who had once thrived within its halls, and a place of rest to the new Sith.
Those who had survived the initial onslaught of clones had barely escaped Coruscant with their lives, while others were shot down by their own troops. They were to be hunted down to the brink of extinction by more droids and clones, and despite their best attempts to fight back, they fell, until only around 50 survived.
With the help of Clone Force 99, who managed to resist the chips, a Jedi knight, three Padawan and a youngling were able to escape.
The first, the Padawan of Depa Billaba, Caleb Dume, changed his name after coming into the custody of the smuggler Janus Kasmir, and later fought as a rebel. He was unaware of the other survivors later helped by the clones, and they were (for the most part) unaware of him.
The second was a Jedi knight, Venca Atras, an Anzat who had trained under Oppo Rancisis, had decided to travel with the remaining group and to protect them, as they had escaped together and managed to board a ship with enough fuel to travel outside of the Empire’s sphere of influence.
The third, a Padawan of Kit Fisto, Kaiant, had managed to retrieve a number of lightsabers from the dead, as well as his childhood Mandalorian armor, and with his friend managed to take with them a youngling that they had accidentally gotten attached to.
The fourth, the Padawan of Oolgr Rynde, Luiryl Ultor, the Togruta had been working with the medical corps, taking the medical droid Jarx2 and his astromech droid R4-P16 with him, though forgetting to bring his own lightsaber with him, much to his regret.
The last, a youngling Echani, Maaya Fenni, who had previously shown herself to be impressive to Yoda, and the navigator of the crew. Light silver-blue hair and a humanoid appearance, she is the focus of this story as she finds a path out of hell and manages to pull off a self-insert within an OC insert, together with the Padawan she had all but dragged into this with her, and the overly responsible Jedi Knight with their own demons.

The crew of the SVICT (Spiral Vortex Ice Cream Twirl) aka Shippy McShip Face weren’t exactly the greatest pilots considering their combined track record of over 50 crashes in the last year but managed to almost make it out of the outer rim when the youngling stood up suddenly with purpose, and took over steering, sending them (not screaming like little kids, they swear) into a wormhole.
