Chapter Text
DING!
The large screen lit up again, the images returning where the video had previously paused before their break.
Everyone quickly scrambled to their seats, eager to see more of 009.
"YOUR BREAK IS NOW FINISHED. PLEASE BE SEATED FOR PART 2."
The monotone voice started again, narrating along as the video continued.
Part 2: Another World
“She’s here! She’s in our world!” Shuu gasped in delight, tail wagging in excitement.
Mitchell, Curtis, Parker, Muir, Shuu, Alva and Bluepool perked up, one thought running through their mind.
I’ve got to get to her first! I have to make her mine!
Winston and Harvey worried for 009. Especially after seeing the reactions of the beastmen in the room to her arrival. They could only imagine how others would react.
Well……..this was unexpected.
Eve couldn’t help but let out a startled laugh at that. 009 was so nonchalant about this. She knew the former experiment was still shocked but the way she reacted was just so funny.
Mitchell smirked. He couldn’t help but admire the female for not panicking. He remembered Bai Qingqing’s entrance into their world and the constant annoying sobbing she did. Irritating female.
009 had just been on the streets of Wolverhampton, on her way to get some donuts, when she turned around and nearly smacked right into a tree.
A gigantic tree. In a forest full of gigantic trees and clean air.
Pollution-free air.
It did not take long for her to quickly deduce that she’d been transported into another world. The alien plants and bigger-than-normal trees were a huge hint. She didn’t know how this happened. Her first thought was the Lab, but after no agents bombarding her or surprise attacks, she discarded the thought (for now).
Muir was impressed. 009's rapid thought process in deducing where she was, was fascinating to hear and watching how she kept her cool made him proud. This is the perfect female for me. Logical, calm under pressure and so unique. She will be mine. Remembering Bai Qingqing, he grimaced as he remembered the careless, scatter-brained female. My other future-self was an idiot. Was I truly that weak to her pretty face and a few kind words? Pathetic, he thought to himself with a sneer of disgust.
009 next thought was that it might have been another person whose transportation abilities either lost control or targeted her specifically for some reason. Revenge, maybe? 009 had killed a lot people (mostly the Lab agents). Maybe it was a relative?
Winston grimaced. That sounded like something Rosa would do. Thank the Beast God his horrid niece wasn’t gifted with special abilities like 009. He shuddered, imagining what Rosa would do with such power.
While 009 had had first initially thought she’d been transported into a secluded forest on Earth, the idea had come crashing down after witnessing a passing group of leopards transform into men and back.
The Leopard Queen, King and Parker perked up at that.
“Huh? Is that…me?” Parker asked, dumbfounded, then he grinned. Looks like he’d be 009’s first mate than Bai Qingqing’s in this future. What good luck! He’s going to be the mate of a Goddess!
“My cub!” The Leopard Queen exclaimed with a giddy smile as she hugged Parker. “Look! It’s you! You're going to be the first person to meet 009!” She felt so smug that her cub would the first person that miraculous God-like female would encounter. Looks like they're going to be mates in this future! YES! My cub gets a Goddess for a mate! She squealed as another thought it her. That means my grandchildren could be like 009! Take that, Bai Qingqing!
The Leopard King smiled at his mate’s and cub’s eager and excited faces but didn’t say anything. While he loved his cub, he had a feeling 009 wouldn’t accept him as a mate. His son, while strong, didn’t seem to match her in terms of maturity. Wisely, he kept his thoughts to himself. He didn’t want to upset his mate.
Curtis, Harvey and Eve also perked up at this, but not because of Parker’s appearance (Though Curtis scowled at the thought of damned leopard meeting 009 first).
The the three of them realised that if 009 was close enough to meet Parker, then she was also close enough to meet them.
Harvey smiled at that, his tail wagging as he imagined meeting 009. In the previous future with Bai Qingqing, he was the second person to meet her after Parker brought her Camel Hump Valley. Would it be the same here, too? Bai Qingqing never gave him the time of day (unless she needed him). Would 009 like him? He had so many questions regarding her healing powers! And the plants! Could she really create in any type of plant?
Curtis wanted to smack his tail right on that idiot leopard's smug face. Why is he the first one 009 meets?! Hissing furiously at the unfairness of it all, he calmed down slightly when be remembered that 009 would be able to meet him too since she's in the same area. I can’t fuck this up. 009 was not Bai Qingqing or like any other female in existence. Trying to intimidate or kidnap her was laughable and utterly impossible. Doing things the usual way isn't an option unless I want to die. I'll have to woo her slowly and gently. I'll beg for her if I have to!
I wonder how we'll meet? Would 009 like me? Eve felt excited at the thought of meeting such a unique female like 009. She smirked as she also realised that 009 could eventually meet Eudora if she comes to Camel Hump Valley. 009 would never be intimidated by a female like her. She imagined that 009 putting that egotistical Eudora in her place would be very satisfying to watch.
Shuu, Alva and Bluepool scowled. First Bai Qingqing, now 009 too? Why was this annoying leopard prince always the first beastman to meet them? Was he favoured by the Beast God? Or was he just lucky?
Muir kept a neutral expression on his face, but inside he was seething at the unfairness of it all. Why did the Beast God transport her there?! With that idiot leopard prince?! Was it because 009 had replaced Bai Qingqing? Was she following the same story? It seemed that 009 was going to all the same places Bai Qingqing had been in the other future - Which included meeting Parker near Camel Hump Valley. He grimaced as he remembered first meeting Bai Qingqing when rescuing her. I highly doubt someone with 009’s abilities would ever let herself be kidnapped by a Feral, let alone needing to be rescued.
Mitchell felt his eye twitch in irritation as the moronic leopard prince and his annoyingly smug mother cheered at meeting 009 first. Tch!
They had loin cloths and furs for covers, stripes on their bodies and animal traits such as ears or tails when in “human” form. 009, after enhancing her hearing and keeping hidden, had also heard them talking about their females, cubs and mating marks. Most of them shared the same female.
Transforming animals? Females? Cubs? Mates?
Due to her near perfect memory, 009 quickly recalled an old webtoon she’d read once when boredom got to her. It had been advertised on nearly every website she’d seen. While not recalling the exact name of the webcomic, she remembered that it had something to do with beastmen, reverse harems, mating and an annoying female protagonist.
The were other ‘Beast World’ stories with nearly the same plot, if she recalled correctly.
The video paused as a moment of stunned silence passed before voices were raised, absolutely bewildered at this information.
"WAIT! She already knows about our world?!"
"HOW?!"
"I thought she came from the same world as Bai Qingqing?!"
"There are other Beast Worlds?! Remarkable!"
DING!
The screen changed, removing the paused the video and showing them snapshots of Bai Qingqing’s story in written form, which also had some images.
The occupants of the room made surprised and shocked noises at the this. Many "oooooh's" and "aaaah's" were heard around the room as the screen flicked through some of the pages, seeing themselves in some parts.
As the the screen continued showing them the written text (with added images) of Bai Qingqing’s story, some of the people in the room starting thinking what this might mean with 009.
The Leopard King leaned back in seat, scratching his chin thoughtfully with his usual serious expression. It appears that 009 is fully aware of what our world is like and what future events may occur. The question is - What will she do with that knowledge?
DING!
The screen then changed back to the 009’s story, un-pausing the video.
Either way – this was the last thing she expected to happen.
"I don't think anyone expects this to happen to them." Shuu said half jokingly, half still shocked at 009 already knowing about them.
Before the leopard beastmen left her sight, she’d caught the name “Parker” when addressing each other.
"It really is me!" Parker said gleefully, sitting up straight, tail wagging excitedly. I get to meet 009 first! YES! YES! YES! Thank you, Beast God!
Thank you, Beast God! Thought the Leopard Queen, a gleeful grin on her face.
Curtis grit his teeth, seething where he sat. Out of all the people, why that bastard leopard?! Why can't it be me?! The Beast God surely hates me.
Muir pursed his lips, glaring at the leopard prince. Why him, again?
009 remembered this guy. He was the annoying leopard beastman who found the female protagonist in the beginning. Some Chinese girl, I think.
Absolute silence in the room at that....
And then, to everyone's surprise, Curtis snorted and broke out into raucous laughter.
"HAHAHAHA!" Curtis laughed long and hard after hearing 009’s thoughts about the leopard. He thanked the Beast God that 009 had a brain unlike Bai Qingqing.
Muir lips twitched as he watched the leopard prince’s face redden in embarrassment. He snickered to himself, feeling a slight relief in 009’s lack of attraction towards Parker.
Mitchell soon joined Curtis in laughing his ass off. "HAHAHAHA!" He was pointing at Parker’s red face and grinning widely at the outrage on the snooty Leopard Queen's face.
Harvey stared at the screen, trying to keep a neutral face but couldn't hold back his smirk. He wasn’t normally a spiteful beastman, but he couldn’t help the rush of satisfaction he felt at 009’s casual dismissal of Parker. The arrogant prince had it coming.
Eve quietly giggled to herself, not wanting the Leopard Queen to hear but couldn't hold it in. Looks like Parker’s off 009’s list of potential mates! I wonder who'll she choose first since it's not him? She glanced at the leopard healer briefly and got a wonderful idea. Wouldn’t Harvey be perfect for 009? He's calm, smart and knows a lot about healing and plants just like her! His lack of strength wouldn't be an issue since 009 was practically the strongest being ever. Eve held back a delighted squeal at the thought of 009 and Harvey as mates. They'd be so adorable together!
Winston's mind was still on 009 and that she’d decided to not show herself to the leopard beastmen, leaving her alone. She's still stuck in a new place and could use some help.
Alva and Bluepool were chuckling at 009’s thoughts and at how red Parker’s face had gotten.
Shuu was snickering, his tail wagging after hearing 009’s thoughts about Parker. Serves him right!
Watching how his mate seethed at the insult towards their cub and the utter embarrassment on Parker’s face, the Leopard King chose not to say anything. Looks like I was right. He wasn't really offended at 009’s thoughts. His cub needed to grow up more (mentally) before getting a mate.
Having no interest in romance, mating or even friendship, 009 plans to do what she does best.
Survive.
"WHAT?!"
This was what was heard repeated by almost everyone in the room, disbelief and disappointment on their faces.
009......didn't want any mates? AT ALL?!
That can't be true.....can it?
The single males despaired, feeling their hearts break at the thought. Even the Scorpion King who felt a dull pang of something deep in his being.
Meanwhile, Eve and the Leopard Queen marvelled at the thought of being a single female and having the choice of not needing to mate. A normal female would die quickly with this mentality. But for a female with 009’s powers? It was absolutely possible. Such a bizarre but amazing concept.
She’ll miss her siblings (006 and 008), but to live without the constant worry about the Lab and her recapture? She’ll take it. The beastmen would probably be a problem, with their obsession with females, mating, beauty etc. She could shapeshift into an ugly, old woman to deter them but it won’t last for long. Maintaining a different form for too long was beyond her ability.
Muir blinked, astonished that 009 considered going as far as altering her own appearance to be less appealing to beastmen. She really is different than other females, he thought in shock. Not even Bai Qingqing was this determined to repel males away, and even then, she’d only painted some tiny spots on herself like an idiot.
Curtis couldn't decide if this was a good thing or not. On the one hand, an ugly appearance would repel most males away, while on the other hand, it could also repel him away too. He grumbled to himself, not wanting others to see his female’s beauty.
Winston mentally breathed a sigh of relief. If 009 could change her normal appearance that much then she'd much safer in their world. He knew it wouldn't deter ferals or rootless beastmen, but at least 009 had her power to back her up.
The Leopard King raised an eyebrow, face serious as always. So she can't stay in a different form for long. Interesting. I wonder if that could change with more practice?
"Ugh." Alva grimaced at the thought of 009 as an ugly, old hag. Why mar her Goddess-like beauty like that? She's so beautiful! I can never imagine her as ugly.
Bluepool wrinkled his nose at 009 turning into an ugly, old female. He understood why she would do this but still felt grossed out at the thought.
"She can change her appearance? Even appeare older?" Harvey asked, amazed at the range of abilities 009 has. This was truly fascinating!
Besides, 009 could finally be free! Free of the Lab and free to be herself – including keeping her original appearance. Thirsty beastmen be damned.
She made a quick plan:
- Find shelter
- Keep away from beastmen
- Keep away from the female protagonist
- Learn more about this world
- Still check if the Lab is around
- Live
Winston, the Leopard King, Curtis, Harvey, Muir and Mitchell were deeply impressed by 009’s thought process. It was rare for a female to be this smart or to have such forethought.
The rest of single males were more focused on how 009 wanted to stay away from all beastmen, their hearts breaking.
The Leopard Queen and Eve couldn’t help but snicker at 009 listing 'Keeping away from Bai Qingqing' as a priority. It was funny but so true. They all knew how much trouble that girl brought and can't blame 009 for wanting to avoid her.
There should probably be more on this list, but she wanted to be in a safer place than in the middle of a forest to expand on her future plans of survival.
"My clever female." Curtis complimented with a proud smirk on his face.
Winston smiled, relieved that 009 was looking for a safe place for herself. He didn’t want her out in the middle of nowhere, especially at night.
"Smart." Muir commented with a satisfied smile on his face. His future mate was so intelligent!
After dodging a couple of beastmen, thankfully unseen due to her powers, 009 found her temporary shelter – a cave.
Curtis perked up at the mention of a cave but frowned as he saw it was one he didn't recognise. Damn! I'd thought for sure she'd might have found my cave but I guess the Beast God really hates me. At least, she's still away from the idiot leopard.
Winston tensed slightly, remembering that 009 needed sunlight to strengthen herself. Would she be alright in a dark cave? What if a feral was already lurking there?
Of course, she’d checked if it was occupied before approaching. From a distance, she’d placed her palm on the ground and ‘saw’ through her biokinetic powers that there was no living being in the cave or the surrounding area. No beating hearts or blood circulating through bodies. Besides the small animals, bugs and plants.
"Incredible!" Harvey gasped, eyes wide in shocked awe. "It's truly incredible what 009 could do with her powers. It didn't occur to me that she could sense living things around her like this."
Muir was much like Harvey, marvelling at how versatile 009’s abilities were. This would make so hunting much easier.
The Leopard King was once again impressed by 009. He imagined that hunting with 009 would be quite an experience, especially with this ability of hers.
Winston felt himself relax after 009 checked over cave and area surrounding it. Thank the Beast God for 009’s abilities and her own cleverness.
The cave was decently sized had a nice, small lake next to it as a bonus. Good, a water source. While her Biokinesis could sustain her, it was better to have fresh water to use.
Harvey blinked. "Her powers can sustain her? Alone?" He questioned, astonished. "No food or water needed? Remarkable!"
So she can sustain herself for a while but not forever. Muir mused to himself, mentally taking notes.
Curtis felt his eyes widen at this. My female doesn't constantly need food since she feeds from her own power. He thought of how that would give them more free time together.....for 'other' things.
Winston's brow furrowed at this. Poor 009 must have had no choice but to use her powers to sustain herself after escaping that horrid Lab. This ability may have born through pain which made him feel sad for 009 and all that she’d suffered.
Mitchell grinned widely, thinking of how he wouldn't have to feed 009 as much if she became his mate.
009 walked deeper into the cave but not too far from the entrance so she could still see her surroundings. She slid down, back leaning against the wall and placed her palm down on the ground so she would sense if anyone (anything?) got too close. Besides the normal small animals, there was no one around so she took a moment for her situation to really sink in and plan for the future.
"So, she can sense other's instantly when she's touching the ground?" Shuu asked, eyes wide with wonder and shock. 009 just keeps getting better and better. Why did they get Bai Qingqing in the first future, again?
Curtis and Mitchell immediately realised that they could never sneak up on 009. While Curtis vowed to woo 009 properly (without his forceful actions and keeping his attitude in check), Mitchell schemed of ways to get around 009’s powers to take her as his mate.
Winston smiled, glad that 009 has another way to keep herself safe.
Firstly, she’s stuck in the Beast World. A cringy webtoon she’d read years ago full of desperate beastmen, polyandry, arrogant females, a scheming ape, rapist mermen, feral beastmen (like snakes and scorpions), a bitchy mermaid, an annoying female protagonist and the multiple natural disasters that happen after her arrival.
Silence.
"Well.....she's not wrong."
All eyes turned towards the Leopard King as he said this, surprised he was speaking up. His mate and cub also stared at him, blinking in shock at their usually silent mate/father.
The Leopard King shrugged at their expressions. What? 009 summed up their world and Bai Qingqing’s story perfectly. Once again, he was impressed with her thought process.
Mitchell snorted at 009’s casual description of Bai Qingqing’s life in the Beast World. He grinned widely at how easily she insulted both males and females in her thoughts. Such an entertaining female!
Bluepool winced at the description his tribe got and felt his face flush with shame. He stared at the floor and avoided eye contact with the others who thankfully appeared to be all lost in their own thoughts. That's unfair! We're not all like that! He then thought back to how to his fellow mermen had forced themselves on Qin. How Qin was so desperate to escape that she asked a feral for help. How their King lied to them about Qin's disappearance and forced Bai Qingqing to mate with them as a replacement. Bluepool slumped down in seat as he finally accepted the bitter truth about his tribe. 009 was right. We ARE rapists. We forced Qin and then tried the same with Bai Qingqing. We are no better than ferals. He glanced at the snake feral in the room and felt ashamed once again. Not even that feral snake forced himself on Qin or Bai Qingqing. He sighed and tried to think on the bright side. At least Bluepool had never forced a female to mate with him.
Alva frowned at the lack of mention of himself in 009's thoughts. Even the ferals were mentioned! Do I not matter to 009? Am I that forgettable? If not me, then our village should have at least be mentioned. After all, our Peacock village was the most beautiful village in the world and absolutely perfect for a Goddess like 009. He then glanced at the depressed looking merman next to him and was suddenly thankful at not gaining 009's attention. He winced as he realised that 009 must be very aware of his obsession with beauty and his previous deplorable behaviour with Bai Qingqing. If she gives me a chance after all this then it'll be a miracle. Glancing at the merman who looked like he wanted to jump off a cliff, Alva was very happy that wasn't him. It could've been worse. At least 009 doesn't think of me as a rapist.
Eve bit her lip in worry. "009 knows what will happen to our village, the City of Beasts and other areas. Do you think she would...help?" With how low of an opinion 009 already seemed to have on their world, she couldn't help but wonder what 009 would do. A part of her knew that 009 owed them nothing. She didn't ask to be in the Beast World. But another part of Eve was hopeful. With 009's God-like powers, she could help save so many lives! Could she fight the disasters head on? Use her powers to stop them all together? If so, then Camel Hump Valley could be saved!
Harvey sighed. He too had been wondering that. "It's hard to say right now. She's just arrived." Thinking back to how his other future-self had had helped Bai Qingqing in her idiotic shenanigans in a desperate need to be her mate, Harvey grimaced and felt a pang of sadness. 009 knows about me and how I chased after Bai Qingqing. She knows how most of those in this room favoured Bai Qingqing so much that we were blind to how she destroyed everything she touched. I don't blame her if she stays away from us and doesn't help with all the disasters. Why should she? While usually a non-violent beastman, Harvey felt the urge to go and strangle his other future-self in Bai Qingqing's story. If only he had resisted Bai Qingqing's beauty and "kindness". If only.......
Muir scoffed at Eve's question, ignoring her offended mates who glared at him. "It is obvious what the answer to that is - No. She's not going to help. Why? Because she owes us nothing." It was a harsh thing to hear out loud, no matter how others winced at the truth, but it needed to be said. "009 is a logical female. She knows that by helping us, she'd be exposed as an extraordinary female, gaining the attention of many beastmen who'd want her, the jealousy of other females and the animosity of the Ape King." Sending a glare towards the scorpion feral, he continued. "She'd also no doubt be hunted down by that penta-marked scorpion." Not that he thought that she couldn't deal with all of them. 009 could most likely kill the traitorous ape and psychopath scorpion St. Zachary within seconds. What were mere beasts to a Goddess? So far, from what Muir had noted about her, 009 would most likely find the massive amount of attention too troublesome. We are lot alike - She and I. This is why we would be perfect as mates.
Winston said nothing but inwardly agreed with Muir. Why place the burden of fixing their world on 009's shoulders? She had only just arrived and hadn't even gotten a proper home yet. No. It's best if we look for a solution ourselves. Unless 009 willingly wanted to help, then we should do this on our own. We will need to make evacuation plans and look for more habitable places to live. The Tiger village seems like one of the best ones but they also have scorpion problems. Winston couldn't help but hope that 009 would join them. He knew that she'd never take him as a mate, but he was content with just being near her.
Curtis ignored all talk of future disasters and was more focused on how 009 remembered him. But did she have to lump me in with him? He glared at the amused scorpion who only grinned back at him. He hissed, baring his fangs but held back the urge to beat the bastard. Turning away, Curtis smirked at how depressed the merman was and how the idiot leopard wasn't mentioned at all by 009. At least I'm better than them. Perhaps the Beast God DOES favour me.
Secondly, the Lab wasn’t here. Those bastards were finally gone. She was free. No more agents after her. No more shock collars. She’d still miss her 006 and 008. Though she still worried that the Lab might be here as well. Its best if she stayed cautious and kept an ear out for any Lab activity. Just in case.
Thirdly, she needs a house. An area far away from anyone else. No beastmen or whiny females. The City of Beasts was not an option. Wasn’t it going to be destroyed anyway? A remote location for herself where she could live in peace was ideal. Her powers gave her a great advantage in food, hygiene and security. Things like a water or salt would still need to be found. Maybe she could make a treehouse?
Muir smiled as he noted how wonderfully logical his 009 was again. Such a clever female! He knew he would have no other as his mate. He wasn't deterred by her not going to the City of Beasts. He'd find her, somehow. 009 was his.
Eve slumped in her seat, disappointed at 009's decision not to help them but not really surprised. It was like the eagle guard had said - 009 owed them nothing. She was also sad that 009 wouldn't be going to Camel Hump Valley. Aaaaw! I really wanted to meet 009! Looks like that's not possible now since she wants to move far away from everybody else. That still amazes me - A lone female living all by themselves with no mates. And willingly! Eve then remembered about her plan to introduce Harvey to 009. Oh no! How are they going to get together if 009 isn't going to Camel Hump Valley?! She pouted. Those two are made for each other! I know it! Please Beast God, let them meet!
The Leopard King gave an approving smirk at how 009 was avoiding the City of Beasts. Not only was she saving herself from the pointless animosity of the Ape King, she was also thinking ahead about the oncoming destruction of the city. While he would rather have 009 assist them with her abilities during the city's destruction, the Leopard King had to agree with the eagle guard and knew that 009 had no reason to help them. I blame that blasted ape for that. If only Wilbert wasn't so greedy and had chosen a better female as his Ape Queen then we could have had 009 on our side. He grit his teeth in annoyance as he thought of that traitorous bastard. Even when he's not here, he STILL manages to mess things up! Bastard ape! The next time I see him, he's dead!
"She's...not going to the City of Beasts? But..." How will I meet her? Shuu's ears drooped in sadness at 009 not going to the city, but glad that she wouldn't be anywhere near the Ape King. Does this mean I'll never get to meet 009? Or that we could meet somewhere else?
Winston sighed in relief, ignoring the pang of hurt he felt at not meeting 009. He knew that by her avoiding the City of Beasts was for the best. It doesn't matter that we'll never meet. As long as 009 is safe, then everything's fine. Her safety is all that matters. He ignored his own growing feelings for 009. This was for the best - even though his heart hurt.
The bright colours of the of the setting sun then blinded her temporarily as it shined right on her face. Huh. Its already sunset.
009 took stock of what she had for now. Her clothes consisted of a brown hoodie, black leggings, a pink t-shirt and a pair of black converse shoes. A couple of pound coins and her keys in the pockets. Her phone wasn’t with her was because the shop was literally five minutes away from her flat so she’d left it on charge before going out.
Oh well. Its not like she’d get any signal here.
Having no internet, while unfortunate, wasn’t too bad. For now, she’d be too busy building a house, farming (cheating with her powers), learning about this world and staying vigilant of beastmen, females, those wannabe dinosaurs, that Chinese girl and the Lab (just in case).
I’m gonna miss Google, though.
There was no Google around here. There wasn’t even a library, was there? 009 couldn’t recall any books or written language mentioned in the webtoon. Then again, it was a primitive world. All information was probably done by word-of-mouth and passed down in the tribes.
A pity. That means she’d have to socialise to gather any information. Either she finds a decent beastman with no ulterior motives (like mating) or a kind female who wouldn’t mind talking to her.
Remembering the story, there’s a fat chance of that ever happening.
Eve and the Leopard Queen winced at that, feeling slightly ashamed of their gender. Yes, 009 was sadly correct on her thoughts on how a female would react to her. She'd definitely be met with hostility from most females since they'd feel threatened by 009's beauty. If they ever found out about her abilities, she'd either be bombarded with offers to mate with their sons or shunned for her abnormality.
The single males (besides Mitchell and Curtis) suddenly found the floor very interesting to look at, their faces red from embarrassment. 009 wasn't wrong, but it was really embarrassing how predictable their reactions were.
009 pushed her thoughts aside and decided to rest for now. The sun was still setting so she planned to look for a secluded location tomorrow for her new home.
Not feeling comfortable sleeping in a cave, in an alien world by herself, 009 placed both of her palms down on the ground. The cave’s entrance quickly became blocked off with thorny vines that rapidly grew from the ground and the walls.
009 then brushed her hand over the sides on the walls and watched as bioluminescent flowers sprouted and quickly grew to the size of her fist. The glow they emitted gave the plain cave a magical look.
There were many "ooooh's" and aaaaaah's" at 009 creating vines and glowing flowers.
"So pretty," Eve murmured, her eyes glued to the gorgeous, glowing flowers 009 created on the walls of the cave. She'd never seen glowing flowers before! Did 009 create them herself or were these common back in her own world? Eve didn't remember if Bai Qingqing ever mentioned them either. Her mates looked at their mesmerised female and vowed to ask 009 for some glowing flowers.
Muir took note of the thorny vines 009 created. Since 009 willed them to block off the cave's entrance, did that mean she could also control them when in battle? He wondered if she could use them like whips? The glowing flowers were also interesting. Those would be useful to have than having to light a fire all the time.
The Leopard Queen's eyes sparkled as the screen showed the glowing flowers. "Darling! I want those flowers! We're going to ask 009 for some when she gets here!" She'd grabbed onto her mate's arm as she said this, looking up at him with pleading expression. The Leopard King just nodded, giving his confirmation which made her squeal in glee.
Inwardly, the Leopard King doubted 009 would randomly grant his mate's request but didn't tell his Queen this. He'd let 009 handle her. He doubted his Queen would push her luck once face-to-face with 009 herself. He knew she was just excited right now and said what came to mind.
Harvey watched in awe at how easily 009 created the thorny vines and glowing flowers. I wonder what else can she do?
Since the light was blocked off and night was approaching, the glowing flowers would help her vision. Giving herself night-vision also helped.
The beastmen blinked at that, having forgotten that females didn't have night-vision like they did. Well - besides 009 who could use it due to her powers.
The Leopard Queen and Eve pouted at that. They want to see in the dark too!
Placing her hands back down on the ground again, 009 created cotton plants. Like the flowers, they grew rapidly and she got rid of the branches (keeping them as extra biomass in her body) and made the cotton stick together. It resembled a lumpy, cotton rug by the time she was done.
Now she had a temporary bed.
"Oh! That looks soooo much more comfy than my one!" The Leopard Queen said with a giddy grin. She then turned towards her king with wide eyes and a cute pout. "We need to ask 009 for one of those too! Please, darling?" Her mate gave a single nod which made her squeal in delight.
"She made cotton! And so easily too! This would help so much during estrous!" Eve exclaimed with a gasp. While their estrous only came once a year, it was still hard to track when it would appear so keeping cotton in stock was tricky. Especially if you weren't near any cotton plants or sheep villages.
Harvey noted down another plant that 009 could create - cotton. He agreed with Eve. The ability to conjure cotton would be very useful.
Still uneasy of being vulnerable while sleeping, 009 brought her hands together and created a little plant-creature that resembled a cat-sized T-Rex. It had no eyes and had a green appearance due to being made of a variety of plants. It had sharp claws and teeth; both being made by thorns.
“Roar!”
Its little arms clawed at the air as it released a squeaky roar, its green tongue flicking out, sharp teeth glinting.
"Did....she just make a living being?" Shuu stuttered, staring wide-eyed at the screen showing the small, Colossal-like creature 009 easily created.
Everyone in the room was astonished at this feat. It was one thing to create plants or meat. But to create an entire living being? This just confirmed that 009 might be a Goddess after all.
009 rolled her eyes fondly. “Calm down,” she said, giving it a pat on the head. “I just need you to guard me while I sleep. Alright, little Nightmare?”
While Muir was slightly mistrustful of the small creature called Nightmare (mostly due to it's resemblance to a Colossal), he approved of 009 having someone guard her while she slept.
Winston was of the same mind as Muir. He was glad that she was protected when vulnerable. Even if her little guard wasn't that intimidating to look at.
Eve giggled, finding the small creature kind of cute.
Nightmare, the small green dinosaur, nodded its slightly big head quickly before trotting up to the entrance and keeping guard by the vines dutifully.
She smiled, shaking her head at her semi-sentient creation.
"Ah! So he's semi-sentient, not fully." Harvey said, utterly fascinated by Nightmare's existence. The small creature appeared to be still somewhat connected to 009 and under her control like the plants. So, not a proper living being but almost. How interesting! Can 009 create more like him? Or just the one?
Forgoing food for now (she wasn’t hungry), 009 laid down on the cotton rug and tried to sleep as much as she could.
Tomorrow, she goes house hunting – Well, more like location hunting.
DING!
The large screen turned black, the video disappearing as the same monotone voice started speaking again.
"YOU HAVE NOW FINISHED PART 2. PLEASE REMAIN SEATED FOR PART 3 WHICH WILL BE SHOWN SHORTLY."
