Chapter Text
Kate threaded her fingers through Anthony's hair as evening breeze flowed through the windows, sending shivers across her skin. Anthony hummed softly from beside her, his eyes trained on the book that settled on a pillow in his lap. Kate traced over Anthony's face. His cheeks were flushed from the cold weather, his freckles popping more. His nose was bloching from their afternoon ride through the woods. Kate brought her hand to Anthony's face, pushing some of the fallen strands away and tucking them behind his ear.
Kate hummed softly to herself. Her mind awash with love. ''What do you envision for our future, my love?" Kate looked back at Anthony, his book closed in his lap. He was looking at her excitement in his eyes. ''What has prompted this inquiry?'' Kate asked. ''I just want to know.'' Anthony tilted his head to the side. His teeth biting his bottom lip. Kate looked out of the window. The plants painting a picture for her 'I imagine us married, perhaps with children. I can already see them running about the land, their clothes caked with dirt from their play. '' Anthony smiled at Kate. His eyes shining. ''And what do you envision, Anthony?'' Kate questioned, her brows raised with wonder. ''It is of little consequence..''
Kate frowned slightly. Her expression souring. ''Anthony, I wish to know. If I can, I would like to make your vision a reality one day.'' Anthony's gaze fell to the floor, blush rising to his cheek. ''I have always dreamed of raising our children amidst nature, perhaps in a quaint cottage on the outskirts of the city. I can see myself teaching them about gardening and the care of the plants. .'' Kate smiled to herself softly. ''I would love that. My dear.'' Kate leaned forward and placed a kiss on Anthony's forehead.
''And you, Kate? Do you see yourself returning to India? Perhaps taking out children there?'' Kate pressed her lips together. ''Perhaps one day. I would want them to know that part of their heritage, to be connected to their culture.'' Anthony hummed to himself. ''I would love that.'' Kate smiled and pressed her forehead against Anthony's ''Soon my dear, soon.'' Anthony smiled and wrapped his arms around Kate's shoulders. He nuzzled his nose into the crock of her neck. Kate giggled and pushed Anthony away.
''Stop that. You know it tickles.'' Kate glared at Anthony, a smile almost breaking through her face. ''I know. But you look adorable when you giggle.'' Kate rolled her eyes and snorted a laugh. 'You shall be the death of me, Anthony Bridgerton.'' Anthony giggled, his hands wrapping around his side. Kate bit the inside of her cheek trying to contain her laughter.
As night fell the Bridgerton family could hear the laughter that came from Kate and Anthony. Smiles graced their faces. They knew that Anthony had found his second half.
