Work Text:
Rimi's parents have always told her and Yuri to not feed stray cats as children. Not only will the cat definitely come back for more, if it has a dietary restriction they're not aware of, that could end up being disastrous for the animal. And so, Rimi has resisted all those years, despite the amount of cats who would visit their backyard.
Although...
"Rimi."
She's pretty sure that rule only applied to actual stray cats. Rana isn't a stray, nor a cat (maybe? dubious). Yes, she was going to come back for more if given snacks, but Rimi couldn't find the harm in it.
Besides, she's pretty sure Rana isn't allergic to anything. Even if she is, she's only come up to Rimi asking for whatever she had that was matcha flavored.
The way Rana just strolls inside of a high school's third year classroom, seeking the attention of one upperclassman in particular, without a care in the world as to who is around her and what they might say is kind of charming, in a way. Maybe Rimi's gotten strange too.
Rana walks over to her desk, bending over the surface slightly, staring at Rimi with big, knowing eyes.
Rimi doesn't bother asking, she simply takes the snacks out of her bag, tearing the packaging open and extending it in Rana's direction, offering her to take some herself.
She just keeps staring, though. And Rimi knows what she must do.
She picks up a piece of chocolate herself, and feeds it to Rana. Satisfaction immediately radiates on her face, and Rimi has no choice but to mirror her smile exactly.
Rimi can't call herself blessed or chosen, really. She knows that Rana goes to a lot of people for snacks; Kasumi and Saya (only when they're not working, apparently she got scolded one time and learned her lesson), Arisa surprisingly enough, her bandmate who goes to their high school, her bandmates who don't go to this school at all...
And yet the cat sticks around.
Rimi picks up a piece of chocolate for herself. She eats it, getting ready to feed Rana once again.
