- The system deeply wounded both of them, so there's already common ground and understanding.

- Toga: “Are you here to call me a monster like everyone else?”
- Midoriya, hyperventilating: “QUIRK”
How they met:
- Midoriya is a vigilante, or an inventor, anything that leads him to being out late at night digging through trash cans and Dagoba beach.
- He keeps running in to Toga, and at first she's confrontational and guarded, scaring him off whenever he gets too close.
- Unfortunately Izuku "Kept following Bakugo for years" Midoriya is in full swing.
- Eventually he takes her back to Inko all like "can we keep her?"
- Izuku, making sure Toga is out of his moms line of sight: "So I found someone who REALLY needs our help mom,"
- Inko, thinking he's found another stray cat: "Izuku we've talked about this, you cant keep every stray you find!"
- Toga, walking into view crying: "STRAY ???"
- Inko, bluescreening at the sight of a physically very small and obviously malnourished human girl: "... oh honey I was just joking..."
- Inko, now noticing the blood on Togas outfit: "Lets get you inside right now, and Izuku, you have a lot of talking to do."
- Literally two days later Togas wearing Midoriya's hand-me-downs and is slated to go to the mall with Inko that afternoon.
- By day they bicker and play Mario Kart but by night they are still hitting the town. Inko giving her raw meat is ok, but she still needs the real thing occasionally.
- This could go into intensely morally gray Midoriya, like Dexter, where he helps Toga pick out targets.
- OR it could just be Midoriya going on his normal patrols/outings and Toga every once and a while just disappears once she's found someone 'suitable'
Sibling Dynamics:
- Age wise there's a lot of room to play. In canon Toga is a year or two older, but she dropped out of middle school so technically she would be in his grade or lower.
- This could make for a few fun dynamics, like the kind of mean older sister whose always teasing him on his crushes, or the younger sister he helps with her homework. Or a mix of both but you get the vibes.
- They both have a crush on Uraraka and Toga (playfully) fights over her with him.
- MIdoriya: "This is no fair I was friends with her first! You literally would've never met her if it wasn't for me!"
- Toga: "Well I just cant help that I'm prettier, cooler, and better than you in every way, sorry :)"
- That one Stephanie and DJ fight
- Toga: "I'm older!"
- Midoriya: "I'm younger!"
- Toga: "I'm taller!"
- Midoriya: "I'm shorter!"
- Toga: "I'm smarter!"
- Midoriya: "I'm not falling for that!"
Dexter AU (Midoriya's Version):
- Hisashi Midoriya could be rewritten to be more like Harry Morgan, maybe making him a cop who dies in the line of duty. Or he could be a hero if we really lean into the MHA of it all.
- Once Midoriya is diagnosed quirkless and sees first-hand how awful the world can be, it doesn't take much for him to want to give into his urges.
- Toga can be his sister from the get-go, maybe she's found in a similar way to show Dexter and goes into police custody.
- Toga can be found later by Midoriya, he's been stalking her for weeks after the police gave up on finding the blood-sucking killer. Right as he's at the final stages, he discovers her true motives and realizes she's not the monster he thought her to be.
- Midoriya and Toga have a mutually beneficial system.
1. He methodically tracks down targets
2. He sets up his plastic wrapped area and ties the victim down.
3. He collects his trophy
4. He patiently waits while Toga drinks their blood. (He makes sure she leaves them alive so he can still kill them himself)
6. He brutally murders them :)
- Toga, waiting behind the wall of plastic wrap, "why do you need to be so dramatic about this. You could have sedated the guy like eight times but you just HAVE to get him by surprise after he comes into the murder room-"
- Midoriya: "Do you mind not contaminating anything?"
Dexter AU (Toga's Version):
- Togas' origin is exactly like show Dexter. Starting with her violent urges as a kid before eventually her tragic backstory moment of being found with her dead mom and being taken into police custody.
- To fully lean into Dexter as close to the source as possible, it would be Hisashi Midoriya who takes her in, but I could see cop!Inko also working well here, even if she doesn't know about Togas tendencies.
- Midoriya is just too damn smart to not catch on eventually, so he could take on the role of Harry, instilling a moral code but not being actively involved in the killings.
- Toga goes through all of the troubles of a teenage psychopath, killing animals, being unable to properly 'fit in'. All the while Midoriya, who is by no means a social butterfly (more like social pariah amirite?) her younger brother, seems to intrinsically know and feel things that she can't grasp.
- Izuku and Inko, crying their eyes out at a sad movie: "she just wanted to be loved :'''("
- Toga, sitting ramrod straight and emotionally unbothered: "Yes, that is quite.. tragic." *fake sniffle* "It's making me so sad.."
