Mae hadn't planned for any of this.
She hadn't planned for Osha to be alive, let alone training with their–or her, she supposed–enemies. And she definitely hadn't planned for her to have a connection with the man she was supposed to kill.
When she found this out, she had planned to disguise herself as her sister–wear her body, in a figurative sense. Everyone would probably think that Osha was Mae, too, though she knew that wouldn't be a problem. Her twin never had any interest in interacting with Mae’s “side.”
What had thrown her through a loop was Sol.
She knew he was close with Osha, but she never knew just how much. He had an air of casualty with the disguised Mae, always tossing her warm smiles and speaking to her as if she was his best friend and not just his student.
Maybe that was how he saw Osha.
Either way, it made Mae sick.
Knowing what the Jedi were, knowing just how fake Sol’s demeanor was…if she wasn't so focused on maintaining her disguise, she might've shuddered. Many times.
Maybe once he was dead, Osha herself would finally understand. Or maybe it would just drive the twins apart even further.
Either way, it would complete Mae’s mission and give her the closure she’s needed for years.
After all, no one ever said she needed to kill all the targets in her own body.
