Chapter Text
"Did you, well... did I... am I a good kisser?" Rayvon blurted out.
They were still sitting next to each other on the bed.
Luka fiddled with his fingers.
"I don't know, I've never kissed anyone before."
"Oh right, yeah of course." The half vampire was cringing at his stupid question.
"But you probably are" Luka added, seeing his flushed cheeks.
Rayvon watched him, wondering why he just shared his fist kiss with his best friend, another guy.
He couldn't help to shake the feeling that kissing him felt right, but he didn't want to make the situation any more awkward and decided to change the subject.
He snatched Luka's homework out of his hand.
"Hey!" The kid chuckled.
Rayvon jumped back when he tried to grab it and ran to the door.
Luka ran after him with a big grin on his face.
As Rayvon pulled the door open, he jogged down the corridor and turned to see his friend chasing after him.
But when he turned back around, he crashed into something.
The kid stumbled back and looked up to see Vinny, standing with his arms crossed and a frown on his face.
"Where are you going?" He questioned.
"Nowhere" Rayvon mumbled as Luka stopped by his side and took back his homework.
"You're supposed to be in your room."
"Well, I wasn't."
Vinny almost had to bite his tongue but he came to talk to his son so that's what he'll do.
"Luka, would you mind giving us a moment to speak alone?" He asked kindly.
"Oh, of course not" He smiled and looked at Rayvon.
Flashes of the kiss invaded their minds as he blushed and Rayvon cleared his throat, also trying to hold back his blush.
Vinny narrowed his eyes at such awkwardness.
Luka then turned and walked back to his room as Rayvon stared at the ground.
"Right, come on you" Vinny sighed and took hold of his shoulder.
He turned him and guided him to his own bedroom.
Rayvon had no choice but to enter as they walked up to his bed.
They sat down as Vinny cleared his mind of any anger.
"So, what's up with you at the minute?"
"Nothing" Rayvon muttered.
"This attitude, where has it come from?"
"I've not got an attitude" Rayvon scowled, proving his dad right and he knew it.
"Son, there's no need to talk to me like that."
The boy looked at his lap, he knew there was no point in being moody with his dad.
He sighed, not liking this conversation. He hated being on bad terms with his parents.
"I'm sorry."
Vinny watched his big green eyes.
"For what?"
Rayvon let out another sigh.
"For going on the roof when you told me not to."
"Do yo understand why you're not allowed to go on the roof?"
"Because it's dangerous."
"Yes. You can't rely on Panuleon all the time, it's not fair for him to have that responsibility."
"I know, I'm sorry it was a stupid thing to do" He mumbled.
Vinny hated that his son rebelled but he loved how he apologised and could recognise his mistakes.
"It was very stupid."
They then looked at each other, feeling better now that their relationship was level again.
"Come here," Vinny said softly and pulled his son into him.
Rayvon wrapped his arms around him and rested his head on his shoulder.
They hugged as the boy loved his dad's safe embrace and his familiar scent.
"You know I love you but I'd love you even more if you listened to me every once in a while."
Rayvon revealed a little chuckle.
"I know, I love you too."
"YOU'RE HUGGING WITHOUT ME!?" A sudden voice came from the door.
They both looked up to see Oliver standing in the doorway with raised eyebrows.
"How dare you!"
Rayvon's smile grew into a grin as he ran over.
He jumped onto the bed and flung his arms around his son and his husband.
They both fell back against the covers while Oliver laid on top of them both.
"I'm never allowed to be left out of a hug, never."
Vinny rolled his eyes and grinned at his son.
"Sorry dear."
Oliver frowned and lifted his head.
"Dear?" He questioned.
"Sorry babe."
He frowned even more.
"No, don't say that."
"Sorry love?"
"Just say sorry" Oliver chuckled.
"I did, three times."
"Rayvon, your dads being difficult. More hugs for you!" He rolled over so he was just on top of his son.
Rayvon sighed but he liked his comfort.
Vinny watched Oliver squeeze him tight. He loved winding him up.
"Dad" His son groaned. "I can't breathe."
Oliver chuckled but stayed like that for a moment more before eventually getting up.
"I like our family hugs."
"Me too" Vinny smiled and pulled Oliver into him.
Rayvon watched them give each other a happy kiss.
He loved their relationship and wanted that when he's older. He wanted someone to love and someone who could love him back, just as much.
He loved the idea of having a deep connection with another person.
* * * * *
Luka was sitting in between Corey and Panuleon on the couch. Rayvon was getting taught how to play chess but he was incredibly bored and a little distracted. He kept glancing at Luka, which Panuleon noticed.
Vinny and Oliver were sitting in front of the fireplace, drinking a bottle of beer and entertaining themselves with their stupid humour.
Although, Duke and Madison were having a lot of fun just listening to their ridiculous questions and theories.
Well, Oliver's ridiculous questions and theories.
"Rayvon, it's okay if you don't want to play" John chuckled, seeing his distracted mind wondering away.
"What, oh no, no, I want to play," He said and forced his brain to focus on the board.
"Dads?" Luka asked quietly, getting their attention. "How did you know when you were in love?"
Corey and Panuleon glanced at each other with growing smiles.
"I knew I was in love with your dad when I looked at him and I had very strong feelings towards him. I loved everything about him and wanted to spend the rest of my life with him" Panuleon said in his usual, calm and relaxed tone.
"Did you ever feel nervous?"
Panuleon looked at his son's breathtaking eyes, wondering if Rayvon had something to do with his questions.
"Yes, but that was only in the beginning when I wasn't used to them."
"But, you stopped being nervous?"
"Yes because we got familiar with our feelings," The angels said as Corey smiled at the sound of his voice.
"How long did that take?"
"Not very long," Panuleon said while his wise and loving eyes studied his son's face, who was staring at Rayvon.
Luka then rested his head against the back of the couch and diverted his eyes to the ceiling.
Kissing Rayvon today has muddled his mind.
"Would you prefer it if I fancied boys or girls?"
Corey turned to look at him with a funny frown. That was a random question.
"Luka, you can like whoever you want."
The boy let a gentle smile appear, he loved how understanding his parents are.
"Okay."
His parents shared a little chuckle before they asked him how his day has been.
"If you could choose one colour to see for the rest of your life, what would it be?"
"Black."
"No, be serious."
Vinny smiled at him but his smile was sweet and warm.
"Green because I wouldn't be able to stand not seeing the colour of your eyes every day."
Oliver's eyebrows subconsciously raised as a goofy smile appeared on his face.
"That's so cute" He mumbled, trying not to show how much that pleased him.
"I know."
Oliver scoffed but took his gaze to the fireplace. He finds it very therapeutic to watch the flames.
Vinny almost became lost in a trance as he watched the orange glow reflect in his big eyes.
"What's your favourite word?" Oliver then asked.
Vinny shook his head at his random questions but he enjoyed answering them.
"Sex."
Oliver widened his eyes and looked around. The only people who heard were Duke and Madison. They were trying so hard not to listen now.
"With you."
"Vinny!" Oliver said with a look of surprised warning.
"What?" Vinny shrugged, playing it cool. "You asked."
Oliver gave him a faked unimpressed expression.
"Oh and that was three words."
Vinny shuffled closer until their knees touched. They were sitting with their legs crossed. He could feel his affection rising and really wanted to make out with his soulmate.
Oliver watched as the vampire put down his beer and rested his hands on his legs.
He looked down when his warm hands slowly started tracing up his thighs, getting closer to the area he knew Vinny would touch if he wasn't stopped.
"Vinny!" He said again and slapped his hands away.
"Oliver" He whined. "co-operate with me here."
"Not in a room full of people" He chuckled.
"Well let's go to an empty room then?" He suggested. His needs were only getting stronger.
Oliver watched as his eyes were slowly filling with lust and he couldn't help but feel that way too.
"Okay," He chirped before standing up.
Vinny grinned and stood up too.
Madison and Duke stared at each other, they tried so hard not to listen but they were right there.
Vinny spotted their humoured stares.
"Oh, you heard that? I thought old people's hearing is supposed to be bad?" He questioned.
"You cheeky little-"
Vinny grabbed Oliver's hand and quickly exited the dining-room before Duke had a chance to get the last word in.
He was joking and they knew that. It was fun to wind each other up.
"He probably would've slapped you around the head if you were close enough" Oliver laughed as they walked down the corridor.
"And I would've deserved it too" Vinny grinned.
Oliver shook his head while they continued walking. He could feel his soulmates eyes on him and it was making his heart thump.
When they reached the stairs, he suddenly stopped and pinned Vinny to the wall.
This surprised the vampire as Oliver pressed his body against him.
"Sorry, I couldn't wait" He whispered and crashed their lips together.
Vinny raised his eyebrows but gratefully kissed back.
The passing staff did their best to ignore the couple as they carried on with their jobs.
The kiss was quickly made into a passionate make out session as their bodies rubbed together.
pleasure surged through them while Vinny tangled his fingers into his lovers hair.
They were quickly getting lost in the moment but they couldn't continue to do this, not here.
Vinny pulled back but only by a centimetre so they could still feel each other's breath against their lips.
"Kiss me in the bedroom Oliver" His deep voice tenderly whispered.
His soulmates eyes glistened with affection as he grabbed his hand and pulled him up the stairs.
They were getting ready to pour out their love for each other,
And they had a lot to waste.
