Anyways I hope you like it! Though on the ones involving the crystal I might've taken a small creative liberty in the interpretation of the disembodied voice inside the cave...
So basically what I thought was a cool idea at first was the crystal being a center pendant in between the eyes. Then I reread it and realized it wasn't going to work SO I chose to have the vine come up and cover the Demon's other eye (mimicking Macaque's damaged eye in reverse). So basically the way I envisioned it was that this demon, as a guardian of the cave, didn't have a proper corporeal for so it relied on the darkness and the energy of the relic itself to sustain a form. Hence it needs it to move around. So when it shows the gem to Macaque it's also presenting itself in the darkness of the cave, being barely visible except for a slight spark of an eye.
Anyway that's about it- OH YEAH UH... So apparently you might've noticed the spikes.
That was an accident. I didn't change it cause tbh I kinda like the spiked look more over the leaves... Which also led to this and the piece below.

And the spikes work great actually as the art for Ch1 has both, thorns and leaves, it’s just hard to spot, so dw! :]
I also got really inspired by your design that you put under the cut! In the Fic his ears, etc turn white, but making everything a shade of green is sooooo smart, so here’s some doodles for ya’!

He wakes up outside with no memories of what happened, no treasure, some new bruises he doesn’t remember and a weirdly persuasive sensation that keeps pushing him towards Wukong.
