Hey, all! Remember how I’ve been bitching and moaning for weeks about there not being any good country/western music posters in Sims 2? Well, be the change you want to see in the world, and all that- here’s 19 country-music-themed posters (and one rock poster)!
Edited mesh included. This will work with the original colors, however, I have replaced the default white from Ginger’s original car with the Fiat Red one you see in the first pic. These recolors will semi-work with the original mesh, there will be a slightly misplaced shadow under the front Fiat logo if you’re using Ginger’s mesh. Mesh changes: Moved & resized the license plates to closer resemble the position that license plates are usually located on these type of cars. Moved the Fiat logo to where it would actually go. Slightly reshaped the front. Yanked the front bumper back into the car so it’s not floating. Fixed direction on interior faces under the backseat. Texture changes: Added slight shading & better seats. Changed the interior of the door to wood paneling. Added the trunk latch & the 3 extra vent slots that the 74 has. The license plate is in Simlish. Why is this a 1974?: It’s actually pretty hard to tell what year the 126p is in this low-poly of a model, since there are very few changes from year-to-year cosmetically (it looked about the same for its entire run), but what really sold me on 1974 was the whitewall tires. Color Theory: Look, Fiat has some good colors. Just behold them. I needed all of them.
You Get: 35 car colors. The interior is its own recolor channel but shares textures with the body of the car, mix&match however you want.
I love premades that only exist in item descriptions and building descriptions. Even if you’re doing a premades-only hood, they let you put a little bit of your own flair into the neighbourhood. So…
Meet Steve von Dough of the Von Dough art gallery, along with his child River and his wife Eloise.
In his youth, Steve spent his life savings on an exorbitantly expensive, funny shaped building, which he turned into an art gallery. He did pretty well for himself– well enough to retire with a nice midcentury mansion and to pass his business off to his heir. River isn’t too interested in selling paintings, per se… but they do like photography.

Pulled the lip of the convertible top out of the interior wall of the car. Spelled “Bel Air” correctly in the filename & description. That’s it! This was a surprisingly cromulent mesh for being from 2007! Texture changes: Added shading & better hubcaps. The paint is now slightly less reflective & more sparkly (yes, okay, this car did come in some matte colors BUT when you see that sparkly paint you just think 50s, so it works). The leather seats now have (gasp) a leather texture. The chrome is now all the same shade of chrome. The license plate is in Simlish. (It says “Simtown Classic Auto L57-CBA”, if you’re wondering.) Color Theory: I went down an entire car-nerd rabbithole for accurate exterior paint colors. What I ended up (see the paint swatch) with is a little more aged/yellowed than it probably would have been back in the day, but these are Old Cars. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find good info on actual preserved interiors/seats, they’re either gross or restored with new upholstery, so I went with what felt right or what I saw done in restorations.
You Get: 30 car colors. 15 with just the chrome accents on the butt wings, & 15 with the accent color. 10 interior colors that are on their own recolor channel so you can mix&match.
This is Chromeo. He lets everyone at school slap stickers and doodle on him for clout. Being a rebel is in his programming. He’s an eternal teenager, created by a totally-not-mad scientist after the loss of his human son in a tragic accident. He’s a bit special and not the most ideal servo model, but we all love him.
I had a small conversation in one of my posts comments with someone (I’m not tagging you in case you don’t want to be tagged, just in case that bothers you even if our discusion is publicly visible, but you’ll know who you are), and remembered reading the same kind of worries several time in the past…
Looks like some of you are afraid to ask for help, or are afraid to annoy more advanced creators.
Let me tell you a few things :
Yes, people can be bothered if someone talks to them privately over and over and over. That might happen. But as long as you don’t act like if you expect others to serve you, it should be fine !
TS2 is quite a nice community compared to many other video games community I’ve seen and left. It’s one of the safest places I’ve ever been. Even if most of us are not even fluent in english and sometimes express ourselves badly. It’s an helpful community with patience and very welcoming to the new ones, as long as they act with respect and kindness. We share our tips, we share our love for the game, we share our thoughts, our finds… We try to help each other when we have the time and the knowledge.
So please ask !
If someone on tumblr says you can reach them if you have a question, don’t hesitate. If you’re not sure, ask on MTS or GoS forums, where anyone who reads you and has the knowledge might help you.
You can also make a post on tumblr and if you have a few followers, ask them to reblog to help your question reach someone who has the answer. I did that several time and most of the time, I had help. I also help others myself when I can.
As you can see, there are a few options to ask without sending any private message to a specific person. Without taking the risk to bother people. Use those tools. We are all happy to help ❤️
I have to say: that’s true. When I started to try stuff by myself there were so many wonderful people around here who helped me learn how to convert stuff or how to retexture/ recolour stuff. Or when I’m not able to do something there are also some very kind people who create it for me. I really love this community and all those very nice and kind people. 💖

Do one-bedroom houses even exist? Like, is that a thing? I get it with apartments but townhomes and single-family homes it has never made sense to me. Yet, I see it a lot in the sims. Is that the norm outside of the US?
They’re pretty common in the US… in older construction.
A lot of East Coast and Midwestern suburbs will have homes like this: built at the turn of the century or right after the GI Bill, specifically for young couples or new families to start their lives in. They have a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living space; they’re not much bigger than an apartment, but they’re yours and you can do things to them; they may have a basement (usually unfinished, creepy, and with laundry hookups) or a yard.
I think they’re less common on the West Coast, and they’re definitely less common in places like the suburbs of LA or NYC. All that land is super valuable, so tiny houses like these got bought up and torn down.

I know it’s been just a couple of days but guys what you mean when you say you were expecting more “Mexican” style furniture in the new ep? 😭😭 y’all don’t expect us to have art deco or modern stuff? Like seriously, what do you guys want 😂 We all Mexican simmers think this new pack is very accurate, you can even ask the simmers that worked in the official builds 🤷🏻♀️
Y’all really falling over the Americanized cliché of Mexico fr, this pack is inspired in Mexico City. We are a city, the population is like 24million, we’re a really big city 💀 please leave your “villas” and “haciendas” to oasis springs or sol del valey.
Please I beg you to not come and say “oh this is not giving Mexico” cause clearly you don’t know what are you talking about, be educated fr. I said it before and I’m gonna keep talking about it; But the architectural limitations in Mexico are pretty much non-existent. We probably have every single architectural style you can think about. Modern, post-modern, brutalist, art deco, mid century, colonial, Romanesque, gothic among others, probably even Tudor 😭 so you coming and expecting us to only have the villas or colorful haciendas fiesta salsa talcos it really hurts me as Mexican 😂
I’m not hating against them, I love them and as I said we have all types of places so keep doing them if you want but that’s not really common in Mexico City. So why y’all keep going with the same villas or just straight boxes builds 😭 please do more research over than using only Pinterest please, is really not that hard 🙏🏻 there’s a lot of fellow Mexican simmers, there’s google, google maps, you can even do a research of Mexico City in airbnb 😭😭 likeeee there’s a ton of ways to get information really…. You can really step up your building game if you only do a proper research. As I’ve seen a lot of you do for other worlds, why not taking the time for Mexico? Why y’all don’t respect us as much as other cultures?:(
And I know and I understand y’all probably won’t be 100% accurate if you’re not Mexicans but that doesn’t mean you can build a Los Angeles Spanish style of home and get away with it by saying “sorry if is not that accurate” 😭 cause you’re not even trying :( Mind you I been working on a uk inspired save when I never been outside my country other than some places in Canada and Florida and I’m still doing very realistic builds just by doing some research. And I’m 100% sure almost every other realistic builder is in the same situation.
Y’all are amazing and you’re so creative, I love that about the community and I know y’all can do wonderful things if doing a really small but proper research!
And next time you wanna talk about if something is giving or not Mexican at least be educated before talking about something you don’t know, it’s honestly very disrespectful. Y’all are better than that and please don’t take this as an offense, this is more like constructive criticism. I’m sorry about this guys, I know must of you won’t even care about this at all, but for me this is just a very important thing. I feel like this is the first time I feel very very connected to the sims community. Now I’ll be able to completely relate to some of you on the feeling of feeling happy and nostalgic about places and things base on your country or culture. I’ll be able to share my knowledge about my own culture who I am proud of. And I know not all of you relate to this and I hope y’all do it someday too because it feels fucking amazing.
Sadly there’s been so much negative around this pack which makes me really sad. Because I can understand if you guys don’t like the pack because of the lack of gameplay and not being worth it as an EP. I get it. But y’all being so negative about the world or thinking it’s not what you expected for a Mexican inspired world it’s a little sad to me idk cause y’all were so respectful to Tomarang or Mt Komorebi…. Why not be as well with Ciudad Enamorada? Why you think it’s okay to say it looks like San myshuno o things like that, like genuinely what did you expect 😭🤚🏻 please be mindful, how do you think us Mexican simmers feel reading all negative comments of people talking shit because they were expecting sombreros and tacos only… please don’t fall over the stereotypes y’all always fighting for 🤷🏻♀️
At the end of the day I just don’t want y’all talk very strongly about something you don’t know from other culture and also to be more creative and free while building in this new world. The diversity in Mexico is soooo big, please take the opportunity to exploit your creativity 🩷

As someone who’s Mexican-American grew up in a city full of Latinos/Mexicans in America, I was so excited because I’ve never traveled to Mexico and idk when I will ever get to. This pack was as close as I’m going to get to exploring the city of Mexico & the world being inspired by the cities in Mexico made me so happy because my dad is from the city. So this pack means a lot to me because of those reasons.
I loved seeing Southeast Asian simmers excited for tomarang because they got to see their cultures in that EP.
The criticism regarding the world the lovestruck ep gave us has been a little weird not going to lie. I did make a post talking abt this the other day because some of the “criticism” or little comments here and there I saw were just flat out offensive and weirdly worded.

I just saw one creator who I liked a lot and this really just disappointed me… she did an override for the taxi for a more original feel??????? What does that even mean? 😕😕😕😕 so the pink taxis are not original to you? O you just don’t know pink taxis are a thing in Mexico City? 🙃🙃

i just want to say that reading this literally made me tear up. i love the culture i come from and just like @softle0 said i’m proud of who i am as a person ethnically and culturally. i was SO happy to hear that the newest EP was going to be inspired by mi Mexico Lindo. i was APPALLED when i saw a certain creators “override” i said out loud when i was reading it and just simply said taxis aren’t yellow in mexico but i mean i guess. i grew up in a semi traditional mexican household and even my MOM was excited when i told her the recent pack was inspired by mexico. i had the pleasure of living in mexico for 1 year and it was the best experience ever. we embrace our culture to the max and that’s the best part of being mexican. i never realized how much hate there was for mexicans until this pack came out. it’s frankly heartbreaking and disrespectful to see other cultures get the love us mexicans can even HOPE to get when it comes to our culture. we’re not taco bell mexicans, we’re not chipotle mexicans. we are REAL AUTHENTIC mexicans. going through the pack i almost felt at home with the features that were added in, i was disheartened by the minimal food options but let me just say that wanting “guacamole” as a food option is just plain annoying. yes we eat guacamole but we’re more known for our authentic salsas. let’s all learn to love each and every culture there is to learn about, i’m sure the world would be a better place if we all just learned to be NICE. i’m normally not one to speak on things like this but this touched me and i just needed to say my piece on it.
Since some of y’all find hard to comprehend things, let me clear something about the taxi’s situation. THIS POST IS NOT FOR BASHING ANYONE IN PARTICULAR. This was just an example of how words matter when talking about other cultures where you don’t belong. I didn’t mention the creator or showed her override. Because I didn’t wanted to put anyone in the spotlight AT ALL.

The point of my post is letting you know how us Mexicans feels. Even two fellow simmers shared her opinion in this post, so I’m hoping y’all see the matter to some of us. We’re just tired of the stereotypes and disrespects.
