She's probably one of those mares who's jealous of another mare and wishes to live their life. So, it's possible that she's jealous that you're the princess and future ruler of the Crystal Empire, and niece to the ruler of Equestria, while she's just a commoner. I'd keep an eye on her. She might be up to something. Like, in some works of fiction, the antagonist uses magic to force a body swap, causing the main character to be forced to possess the antagonist's body while the antagonist is possessing their body. Then, the antagonist pretends to be them and has the main character casted out of her home while pretending to be her. Just in case it might happen one day, you should ask your Aunt Twilight for any counterspells.

Sure, the little ponies here will be your friends. But just promising they care doesn't do anything about the new Mare, does it? And even while professing their friendship, they never really addressed you concerns or doubts, did they? What was her name? Velvet Mist?
