Always start with leveled tiers. If you skip this step, you’ve already set yourself up for failure. Invest in a level that you only use for your cakes. It’s a small investment with a huge return. 2. Measure your support dowels to the height or SLIGHTLY taller than your tier. Never use supports that are shorter. Essentially, you want the top tier to sit on the dowels and not the cake. I’ve made this mistake so you don’t have to. I use wooden dowels because I can sharpen them to penetrate my cake boards that sit in the middle of my cake Cake 2 Tier Wedding, Mini Tiered Wedding Cake, 8 Inch And 6 Inch Tier Cake, Tiered Birthday Cake For Men, 2 Tier 6 Inch And 4 Inch Cake, Cake Tier Sizes, How To Make A Three Tier Cake, How To Make 2 Tier Cake, 2 Tiers Wedding Cake

I usually use one less support than the size of the tier above. For example, for a 6” cake tier above, the bottom tier would have 4 bubble tea straws, and the center dowel. This makes a total of 5 supports! - Use a wooden dowel, and gently twist as it goes into the cake, and make sure you feel it puncture the bottom, this really stabilizes the cake! - I use a cake board to show 2 Tier Elegant Wedding Cake, Cake Tier Sizes, How To Stack Two Tier Cake, 8 And 6 Inch Tiered Cake, Best Cake Recipe For Stacking, Three Tier Cake Birthday, 2 Tier Cake Ideas, Two Tier Buttercream Cake, 2 Tier Baby Shower Cake
