Altered shoes

I love doing altered off the page projects and what could be more fabulous than a high heel number?!! I admit right now, these are not mine, sadly I can’t wear these kind of shoes what with being 5’8” already, so they were bought just for this occasion… Thank goodness for clearance sales!! To start, I dabbed on 3D Matte Gel and sprinkled Art Stones, followed by Mini Art Stones, to give a base layer of texture. I love sustainable fashion and one way I practice this is to upcycle shoes and make them unique. All these items came from my stash, so use whatever you have available.

Ladies ! Do you have shoes that you absolutely LOVE, but can't wear , and don't want to part with? RECYCLE THEM!!! It's a perfect accessory to compliment any shabby chic or Victorian home. Other possible uses include wedding favor, bridal shower...etc Ideal for the woman who enjoys her jewellery and elegant things. I used some Boomerang perm rods and glued a strip of velvet over them...cut to fit in the shoe, and hot glue them in rows.Embellish the outside of shoe if desired ! Have fun !!
